    Great range of ideas, from inexpensive to virtually free, and the video is very well-done. I mainly do landscape and event photography, so I didn't want to invest much in equipment I don't use that often. This is exactly what I was looking for to set up lighting for Ebay photographs quickly and cheaply--many thanks!

    Oh wow, this tutorial is really great! I want to try my hand at product photography, and my natural impulse is to go online and buy a bunch of lighting equipment that I'm not even sure how to work with. That would cost me a lot, and who knows if I'd end up using half of it. Now I've learned how to DIY the basics, so in the very least I'll learn more about my preferences, and if later I decide to buy, it will be an informed purchase. I also LOVED your very visual explanation about how to use everything. THANK YOU!!!!
    (My ex-husband was a very technical, pro photographer, with tons of expensive equipment and sharp knowledge. But I learnt very little with him, as it all sounded very daunting. Your manner of teaching, on the other hand, is very approachable to beginners.)

    Have you ever thought about sticking the Speedlight inside of the LED Softbox with the LED as a modeling light? I have been wracking my brain looking for an LED modeling light solution for my speedlights in Softboxes and I think you may have single handedly came up with the solution. I've been so focused on put the the LED somehow in inside my octagon softbox mounted to a Godox S Adapter that it never occurred to me to try sticking the Speedlight inside a square LED Softbox with the LED Light as the Modeling light. You flipped the script. Thank You!

    • @Gemini_Connect
      @Gemini_Connect  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Jewelry can be tough because it is shiny, can have reflections, and often needs a prop to stand it up (think a necklace or ring). Consider getting jewelry props/holders, and making sure the light is ultra soft and diffused to avoid reflections.
