After watching 6 other photographers product videos for tips on cosmetic, jewelery and products your channel is one of the best including your teaching style is great. Thanks for great tips. Time to binge watch your channel!!
I am so glad I've found you! I've spend the last three hours trying to find good photography videos for beginners. Your videos are so detailed and are really helpful. Thank you so much xx
I agree with so many on here. I’ve spent a lot of time watching others on product photography and wish I had found yours first. You are gifted all around! Thank you so much! Looking forward to learning more from you!
Photoshop is used in almost all of my product photography photos surprisingly. Sometimes it as simple as copy over a portion of the background so that it is seemless.
Hey Faiza! You’re concepts are the same even if you’re shooting on a Smartphone 😊 I still recommend to use Lightroom to edit as well, you can download a free version of Lightroom for mobile. You might be interested in the video I did where I made a comparison between my Canon camera and the iPhone 12 Pro. All the principles I’ve talked about in this video I applied to my iPhone photos. th-cam.com/video/9HOtXfutHyg/w-d-xo.html
Depends what style/vibe you're looking for in your photo. Is there a colour palette for the brand? Is there a theme for the image? What message are you trying to communicate with the image?
@@amandacampeanu Hi dear.. I know this godox SL60w, its a constant video light. But I haven't invest in that rather found a great deal of godox sk400ii x 3 strobes... Now the Question is - Can I replace one of the SK400ii with SL60w, will it give me that result.. and on what settings and light diffusers/modifiers? Sorry for such a long Q. :(
Definitely had to subscribe!!!! Great video Amanda!!!👍 do you have any tips for photography at home for a phone case business please please I really need to take some nice photos for my cases. Would you recommend a light box to take pictures in and an iPhone 8 Plus to take them??? Also what props could I use also???
Thank you so much!! If the phone cases are reflective you’ll need to play around with your angles and lighting to ensure you get a really beautiful gradient. I’ve actually never used a light box so unfortunately can’t comment on that one. I’m sure any phone will be fine to use as you’re not really seeing the phone itself but rather the case. Prop wise it totally depends on your brand aesthetic and the look you’re after. It’s hard to advise without seeing your brand and your product. I would do some planning for your shoot and gather some inspiration on how you want to visually represent your products and then tell a story with your props. I’d probably keep props minimal but again, it totally depends!
Hey Nadia! I definitely recommend to grab yourself some strobes. I personally use and love the Godox fv150 as we do both photo and video but there are many other models out there. 😊
Great video! Very very helpful in many ways. I just have one question and that's about prop-sourcing. I don't know what kind of props I should get or backgrounds. Do I go to garage sales/craft stores and buy random things and hope they'll become useful in the future? How can I make sure to get the most out of the props and such that I do purchase? And what about the random objects you have in your video like that sleek staircase you were using for "The Bod" product. Where do I find random objects like that?
Thanks so much! When it comes to props and backgrounds it really depends on the brand you’re working with and what props and backgrounds you think will help sell their products. I shop at a lot of different places for props and I invest in pieces I think I will use again and again. It’s all part of your creative process 😊
Hey Kim! Backdrops, Savage Universal is a great one or Hypop if you’re in Aus. Props I get from Amazon, EBay and other stores I come across on the internet. I’ve got a full list of prop and background suppliers inside my online course as it takes me a lot of hours to research where to find things. 😊
My products don't have nice packaging! It makes the photos super difficult. I spent my startup money on ugly packaging and its impossible to make it look nice.

In this video I think I was using continuous light. I now use strobe lights though 😊
@@amandacampeanu Do you always use strobe now?

I'm very happy with this content, thanks a lot. I love your teeth, mine used to be like that but even longer but that made them easy to break :(
What is the best background to use when shooting a small white product that is the size of a writing pen?
Depends what style/vibe you're looking for in your photo. Is there a colour palette for the brand? Is there a theme for the image? What message are you trying to communicate with the image?
Can I use my phone for this instead of the professional cameras?
I am in love with ur teaching n tutors, learning great stuff 🤩

Such amazing tips! Super helpful!
Great tips! Thanks!
Good afternoon, I really am happy for the amazing amount of effort that you put into your channel!
Woow❤️
Good tips! Do you have any reccomendation for lights on a budget?
Best light if you’re on a budget is the Godox SL 60W. It’s not a strobe but will still do an amazing job! 😊

For your course do you have different payment plans
Great tips!!!
Thank you!!
Do you have an example of a creative brief?
Hi what rates would you recommend to someone who is just starting out as a product photographer to charge a potential client?
9+10=21?
Thanks for the video. I wish I could hire you for our new product but we are based out of India and most probably won't be able to afford you !!
Love the tiled backdrops. Where did you find them?
How do you make photos with actual product swatches (like e.g. a stroke with a makeup brush or finger)?
I use palette knives most of the time for swatches 😊
@@amandacampeanu ok thank you ;)!
Lovely fangs.

product photography or photoshop photography?

You can yes 😊 But sometimes they can still look fake. I’d prefer to use fresh ingredients as this will always look better in photos
