I remember the first time I heard the Pixies, Surfer Rosa, many, many, years ago. This makes me feel the same way. I just want to go hide and turn it up as loud as I can, and listen over and over.
I couldn't figure it out until I read your post...definitely has a Pixies vibe to it.

I saw these guys at the music hall of williamsburg in like June 2015...I go to a LOT of shows but these guys completely blew my mind. 3 guys, no lights or props, really nothing else, and only like 15 people in the audience (it was sunday night of northside festival and there was a ton of other stuff going on). They threw so much energy into the performance I really thought they were going to hurt themselves. Think 1980's Henry Rollins or 1970's iggy pop. They blew my mind more fully than anything I've ever seen...so much sound, sweat, and I'd swear there was blood but probably not. This video is hyper sedate compared to how they are live.
I was there too… great show, changed my life, truly the only band pushing the boundaries of rock music… haven’t heard this in a bit, just finished their latest album and had to come back to where it all began this morning…

Haven't liked any new band I've heard in a long time. I really hope this is the new punk and it catches on. Rock needs new life breathed into it, and this is FUCKING amazing!!! We need this instead of the soulless shit that passes for music nowadays!
I was ranting to my friend last week about how all the big Irish bands have zero edge or attitude. He showed me this and shut me up quite quickly. He also told me his band supported them in Cork 2 years and I was at the gig. I honestly can't remember but I absolutely love this now!
