This is how you rock and roll. I worked at a guitar store in Michigan for three years, and we had literally the biggest effects pedal selection in the mid-West. I had to deal with thousands of people every week who thought they knew how to make avant-garde music, or other genre-specific music, just because they would buy the latest, greatest “status pedal” from some boutique company. They also thought that by owning pedals, they would magically be more cutting edge, and their music would improve. I see a lot of people on Girl Band videos talking about pedals. Pedals don’t make interesting music. Minds do. Girl Band are using the technology and pedals to accentuate and mangle cool musical ideas that are already happening on their instruments, before any pedals are even being incorporated. That’s talent. That’s the artistry. The effects are almost superfluous.
I was thinking as I was watching it that some people are going to say all they're doing is mashing pedals and playing simple chords and beats. But it takes creativity and talent to come up with those ideas in the first place, put them all together and then execute them as a band.
bro, girl band is killing it. I play a couple riffs on guitar, and i am not claiming to be a real bada** guitar player, but you, my friend, have nailed it. I can play enough low grade songs to appreciate everything that they have, and even more so, to appreciate the music they are bringing to the table recently. In this age it is amazing, and i love people like this with their own original tunes, especially ones that rock this hard. It is awesome, and I also am in Michigan. Hats off to you my friend and hats off to girl band!!!

Gabriel Apolloni you missed the point of my comment. I’m saying that I do enjoy this band. I love this band. I was saying that I’ve met so many other “noise bands” and musicians out there who make noise, but it’s not good at all. They don’t know how to use the noise musically. This band actually orchestrates the noise, and it’s tastefully and masterfully done. Didn’t think it was that complicated, bro.

Best indie/noise/whatever guitar band i've heard in a very long time. Should be interesting to see/hear where/how they develop from here.
Now there's a thing. How long can they maintain that sound and still make it sound fresh? That 'difficult third album' will be a challenge for them, but I expect they've thought of that and they know what they're doing.

Great song but at least 3 minutes too long. Would have been much more powerful kept short. Love it though. Drummer lacks confidence so a little cruel to make him start first also.
