Im sure you figured it out yourself. This series was not so much on where the story headed; it was more a meditation of it's thematics as it reflects our current political discourse and the 'common' people trapped in it. Yaritza was a way of saying; there might be a shimmer of hope. But we dont know if it will reallly save us from our impending doom. Only time will tell. And with that, i thought it was the perfect ending of the thematics that has been played wiv here
After the end of episode 2 I thought it would end with her joining the vigilante gang, instead the plot just goes nowhere, really shitty ending to a good show
I don't think it was bad, it just didn't have the closure you wanted. Refn said it's like a painting, how do you know when to stop? At a certain point it just ends, you run out of paint, or whatever. In this case Refn filmed this until he was out of money, so the result is us gazing into the middle of a story which was in motion before episode one began, and goes on well after episode 10 ends.
@@DeathMortarion I really appreciate how he shifted the protagonist and he said he would do that in interviews, it just takes a couple of days to understand what story you're watching, after episode 5 I thought Martin was the key to the narrative, it's cool if he isn't but in that case that's a lot of wasted time
After Martin's death, I did not enjoy the last two episodes. The introduction to the whole "beings" thing and her eyes turning like that and that nonsensical monologue, just everything in the last two episodes did not work at all. In my opinion, at least.
