@@powerofberzerker9487 it’s a reflection of the synthetic culture the Managerial Elites have created over the past century. J.G. Ballard has been writing and warning about this since the 1970s. Modernity is creating insanity. In the 1880s, Nietzsche was warning of this - the crisis of Nihilism. Western Civilization was coasting on the inertia of Christianity but it no longer genuinely believed in it. Oswald Spengler’s cyclical view of history draws many of the same conclusions, as well as The Ancient City by Numa Denis Fustel de Coulanges.

@@seanwieland9763 I'm agnostic, but I've noticed that, in recent couple of years, all of my friends live in a less meaningful fashion than I. Don't wanna boast, but it's just weird being the "moral compass" in my large group of friends, while being agnostic. Another friend of ours, that now lives abroad, was an even better person, in terms of moral, not cursing and such courtesies. He is an atheist. So, I don't know what's up with the world. There's a lot more atheists/agnostics but the religious folks are so liberal with their beliefs that the God has became nothing more than a lucky charm.

Fuck me though, if it's the journey and not the destination then it was a hell of a ride: from the violence, sex and debauchery to the incredible tension that drops only at your stunned laughter when hit in the face by the contrasting humor.

Yaritza clearly is now unleashed upon the world. She now sits as judge and punisher. She is a goddess of destruction and death and here now, after one season, is our break with the series' story. Now, all Hell will continue to break loose on our planet. A reckoning. Now we can imagine ... and fear the oncoming wrath. Diana, however, is the opposite female power, balanced, and maintaining the unfolding of what further evolution of "our world" will entail. Seemingly, both female agendas will proceed through violence. Gladly, the series ends, albeit abruptly, at this point. Like goddess' namesake Diana, a European (Roman) virgin deity, protector of childbirth, counterweights Yaritza's old world, Mexican goddess of death, like Santa Muerte (or pre Aztec perhaps, Mictecacihuatl?). Does Diana now dance in dervish-like, blissful abandon, celebrating Yaritza's oncoming bloodbath, born of the uber vengeful yang to her ying-yoni(?), or is she releasing stabilizing positive, healing energies back into our world now to compensate Yaritza's arrival? Will they combine as a now fully resolved entity, like Shiva 'Nataraja', the dancing creator and destroyer of universes? Now consider our collective viewing lust for MORE, a telling moment, a revelation brought to the surface as we observers share an empty hunger in the face of hopelessness and the unknown. One season is perfect.
