thank u so much, bc i couldnt understand why after signing out of my icloud, that all of my interactions from my phone was still popping up on my childs mac, she wasnt signed in, and neither was i but but the both of our activity was being shared on the same computer and that has blown my mind. to the point that we havent touched it since. Ive went to settings, sharing, subtract, etc. So this is the only way that i saw fit and i hope it works. Bc this is the only time that something has made any sense as far as erasing it completely is concerned. So thank you again.

Great video on this. All others i watched were saying to erase the 'Macintosh HD' but this didnt work for me. The 'show all drives' was the key

I have a question : every step worked until I tried to reinstall macOS High Sierra (from that step here 9:01) . Every time I try to reinstall it it says that the couldn’t connect to the reinstalling server..? Do you know what the problem is? I would like to sell my old Mac asap but I don’t want to skip any of the steps and this one is the last one..😅

the first step worked for me but i’m not able to reinstall macos, it says it needs to be plugged into a power source. the plug where the charger goes isn’t working. now it’s a black screen and a file with a ? keeps popping up

Mine doesn’t go into that faculty reset thing after I hold command and r and I don’t know why I do everything you do?
Start up from macOS Recovery: Turn on your Mac, then immediately press and hold these two keys until you see an Apple logo or other image: Command (⌘) and R until you see the menu appears.
When I clicked continue to install macOS High Sierra, a msg came up saying “The recovery server could not be contacted”. What do I do now!!!

I got the MacBook after a guy in the family died at first i couldn't get in since it was icloud locked but i managed to create another user which allowed me to access the Mac but the family member that died has a lot of things on it and I want to free the space so what do you suggest ❤️ I'd appreciate the help
