Least unhinged Math Sorcerer Thumbnail
That's why I am here 😂
That thumbnail lmao
He's wild 😂
It's why I'm here.
It terrified me 😂
The Math Sorcerer goes incandescent!
Haha… this comment read my mind
bro is a Renaissance painting
🧙🧙♀️🧙♂️
Between his intellect and impecable physique he is turning into Pythagoras
That thumbnail was enough for me to reconsider every decisions that I'd made in my life
those eyes penetrate my soul
bro fell down from heaven and reminds us to stop wasting time 😇🙏. I've transcended.
🪄🧙🔥
@@TheMathSorcerer lmao
It’s so nice that my sleep paralysis demon teaches math when he’s off the clock
That is one hell of a thumbnail...
"Lay hold of today's task, and you'll not need to depend so much upon tomorrow's"
Woah, will think of that phrase everytime I want to procrastinate haha
This came at the perfect time. Thanks
You're so welcome!
Don’t have anytime to waste. My time is taken up with tasks coming from everywhere.
The thumbnails are getting more and more wild!!
I find Seneca and other stoic philosophy often just poeticizes truths we all know deep down. But those explicit reminders every now and again are always revitalizing to hear.
This came to me in my notifications when i am wasting time lol
🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@TheMathSorcerer is just psychic like that lmao, it's happened to me a couple times 💀💀
the angel of knowledge is talking, listen
"On the Shortness of Life" is my favourite of Seneca; quote:
In guarding their fortune men are often close-fisted, yet, when it comes to the matter of wasting time, in the case of the one thing in which it is right to be miserly, they show themselves most prodigal.
Was on bed hearing this.
Got up and started my python programming study right away.
All the best to me in this journey.
Thank you Math Sorcerer.
I'm gonna pick Real Analysis back up right now, thanks!
🔥
Marcus Aurelius' Meditations are a great collection of ideas. I even have an app on my phone that gives me a stoicism quote daily as a notification.
This Angel of Mathematics with the golden mane and eyes of flame has captured my attention and loyalty, I will learn the maths from this great master. Adding philosophical musings to this already powerful persona is incredible. The ineffable math sorcerer.
Right after you quoted Seneca on fleeting time, an ad appeared. The irony is real.
LOL
Another great video with impeccable timing!
Thanks for the reminder !
This is a good video! It goes well with your usual videos where you lay out the task ahead, by recommending one or more books. Thank you!
Yes! More videos like this please. This was posted at the perfect time for me personally. Thank you so much! ❤
Bro is gonna cook his retinas
lmao
I would love to here more on getting on the track with your peers when you're behind. Please do one more about it. The video you have already(which takes two weeks) gave me so much inspiration!
Thank you for your video. I am trying to write a scientific article on reducing the acidity of waste cooking oil to use it as a raw material in oleochemical industry, and I really agree with the fact that anxiety is produced by trying to distract yourself with other things but not stop thinking about the postponed task. I will try to do my best with my present, it is the only thing I got for sure. Thank you again, the video was interesting and motivating.
Alright he turned into an actual evil sorcerer that was a jump scare thumbnail
I am old and I am trying to learn math to get into a good university because i did not study in the past. Thank you for this amazing concise video, it sends chills of realization down the spine. I feel awful for wasting so much time in the past but all we have is Now, tomorrow is not guaranteed.
Your videos always come out at the right time!
This video helped me so much it was the little push I just needed, and I started reading that book you're suggesting and till now in chapter _III_ I loved it, God bless you and thank you for the beautiful content you're sharing ❤
Math god , you always post at the right time!! Like I might have something eating up my mind , and voila! The exact answer of my problems gets recommended to me on my fyp. Thank you man❤.
The Hourglass & Scythe are traditional symbols illustrating the finiteness and mortality of human life.
Thank you for your time, I've only begun to realize these truths on my own path.
Amazing time for this, I needed to listen to your message today.
Great video. Good insights into Seneca’s book, translating the message to modern day scenarios. Gonna go do Math now :)
Keep making these. Please and thank you
Thanks for your timely wisdom, Dr Newton
I've had an issue with committing to things and wasting time so, I appreciate the strong words and valuable knowledge
I love it when you get philosophical!!!
I guarantee you'll love Georg Christoph Lichtenberg's "The Waste Books"! He was an 18th century German physicist and astronomer who was the first to study "Lichtenberg figures" (electrical discharges that create fractal patterns). He privately jotted down his personal reflections every night, and after he died, his friends discovered these writings and loved them enough to publish them. Neitzsche, Freud and Einstein, among many others, loved reading Lichtenberg. It's been said that "Lichtenberg is not a household name, but something even more rare: a name savored by household names."
You can read his aphorisms at random, just one or a few at a time, as if eating from a box of chocolates!
Exactly what I needed to hear
Your videos have been helping me a lot to start learning physics and math by myself during my college time. Greetings from Mexico and keep uploading interesting books ❤️
Ur videos appeared to me like a month ago and u don’t know how helpful u were to me thank u from the bottom of my heart, btw i love how golden ur hair and eyes color 😳
Thank you so much ❤
This video really motivated me, thanks
The most amazing timing:)
yes, it has helped me. Thanks for your advice
Fantastic video - thanks.
This has helped so much, I would rlly like to see more of these! btw another great stoic book is Epictetus’ Discourses and Selected Writings. Marcus Aurelius’ ‘Meditations’ is also great for more of this kind of stuff
Great video! Thanks.
Math Sorcerer: Innate, natural talent for math.
Math Wizard: Acquired math skills through study and knowledge.
So you always had that innate talent for math?
Thank you for sharing! I need to get back to work lol
Thanks for the motivation …. I will start NOW!
Many times I don’t feel like doing things, especially when tired, it’s best to focus on your mental/physical health(exercise, hygiene, healthy food and lifestyle choices) and then do the work, unless you don’t have time.
Wasting time rn I gotta read a school text book but don’t feel like it but yet I want to… telling myself I love reading the book and I just gotta do 1%. Here I go… I read a page and a half and realized my brain just isn’t into it rn, I gotta take a walk, clear my mind and get some fresh air and I’ll be more attentive to reading.
Thank you Math Sorcerer I was wasting time watching a documentary and your video reminded me to sacrifice the distractions until the task is completed also making sure my phys/mental health is taken care of too. I think it’s best to make a schedule too lol.
Same!
Super helpful. Thank you
Thumbnail was freaking awesome!
very helpful, thank you man
This Video Touched My heart❤
i enjoyed this style of video very much. Give thanks.
Very nice video! What a coincidence you read that! There’s another fellow TH-camr who just began a book club and it inspired me to grab the book! Thank you! I’d like to hear more from you on Seneca and his letters.
I expect a video about math and working out for the celebration of 1M subscribers. Congratulations, you are almost there.
Please make more videos on these thought provoking ideas Mr. Gabilondo.
Great video, more pls.
Thank you 😊
i feel very afraid but I will try my best. thank you always. you have helped me so much man. thank you
love the wisdom videos yes
Please, do more about these.
Thank you.
This is a key principle nearly every great philosopher and spiritual teacher throughout history has emphasized. Just focus on the moment and today. Be present and take action.
Wonderful vid! Really well put; though I feel hate towards the past I do have to understand that it had happened and it has made me a new person, I do know that I will have to embrace what has happened and accept it, rather than avoid and negate it. This doesn't only apply to past experiences, but with all the learning process; regardless of how many tries, it's still better than no attempts. Thanks, hope you have a god day!
Thanks!
Thank you!
Awesome mental rejuvenation in combination with teaching.... your fantastic Sir....I love it .. Keep it in combination with all that your doing....
Just got my bachelors in math in May and I stumbled across your channel at the beginning of my education. Coincidentally (to this channel’s sudden? philosophic content), I’ve been getting into reading philosophy and I stumbled upon “How to Die” by Seneca which is very concise. In my next reads is also “The Ethics of Identity” by Kwame Anthony Appiah, which I am hoping will merge my philosophic takes with the demands of modern life.
thanks for the vid
Excellent video! I am so glad you brought in some philosophy, as it is so relevant and close to mathematics. Because, mamy people think math is just a tool.
Thank You
I'm studying Computer Science and want to do exactly all the things you mentioned! Learn math (stats), learn C, and get in shape.
this has indeed made me start working right now.
I own the same book of letters, though a different edition. This video is very helpful to me. I was once told, by my second grade teacher, "Use your time wisely." I hardly ever have. Maybe I will get better at not wasting time from here on out.
I really want to say thank you.
the lighting is crazy
Your channel is the best
That anxiety derived from procrastination fuels my drive. Without it, I'd get very little done.
I suffer from the same thing
Oh how much I hate it
My problem thanks sir!
Love the channel and your channel enthusiasm. By the way are you a descendant of King Louis VI and Queen Marie Antoinette
yes, we'll love to have more videos.
My mathematical journey begins today!
It’s amazing
We need more thumbnails like this!
The thumbnail exemplifies Math Sorcerer's inner Zuckerberg.
You should do a q&a cause I need to know how you come up with those thumbnails
If you have hesitations, regrets, failures, or whatever else, think instead first that the past is past, and second to make the rest of your life better than your life has been so far. If you live and breathe, there is hope!
"when the imposter is sus" ahh thumbnail
damn i was just sitting here really in that thinking mode again, so here we are
This video came at a perfect time ... I shamefully admit I had to look up a tutorial on how to multiply 3 digit numbers together.... I was a wiz in school. I was always awarded for my writing. I just don't wanna be dumb and be taken advantage of anymore!
Day before math sorcerer was sniffing the Bible with white jacket covered by gold all day long )))
And, here you are - now looks like angel from the sky))
🔥
I just agree what you said.i am 45 yrs old IT professional in core Networks how ever I just love to learn maths and physics , just for the reason for its sake …I don’t know what I could gain from or but it has given me a new perspective in life . I wasn’t able to continue with maths and physics much during my college years , as here in India people never values interest of a person but how fast he or she can stand up at his feet by earning money , which to me never appealed till now .. I just love doing maths for the sake of it ..thanks for your suggestions indeed.
I have enjoyed this video more than any other video I've seen from you mighty Sorcerer I don't mind but some may not see that you're just being serious and not aggressive. and looking back to learn is smart to practice today to apply to tomorrow is wise also I was curious have you read principia Mathematica volume one through three cover the cover or any part of it and what did you think I am quite curious to know your opinion
What is the best math book on Bayesian Mechanics for someone who is new to it? I want to learn, but there's so many books on the market. Where do I begin learning Bayesian Mechanics with an idea in mind of broadening outwards into other disciplines like linguistics (Bayesian Mechanics is super useful in that field)?
