Shoe lace tip was awesome. I always tuck them between foot and shoe on the side but that is not feeling comfortable
try to find a pair of trail running shoes that have a lace garage on the tongue of the shoe. Thats what I use and it works perfectly!!!

If you ride with a Camelbag or some sort of hydration pack, get you a 0,5L plastic bottle, remove the cap en squeeze it down as flat as you can, pop the cap back on and put it in your backpack, so when you're out of water and your backpack doesn't fit under the watertap, you can fill the bottle multiple times and so fill your backpack. Not really a good habit but more of a good preparation thing!! Never out of water ever again 👌💪
New to the MTB community and have been loving all your videos, got to say the part about shoe laces is clever. Utilizing that one right away for sure. Also an Eagle-Scout so I've already have the pet peeve of not picking up trash as I see it on the trails.
Just ran into a couple recently pulled off the trail giving one of their bikes a once over, so I asked "yall good" as I slowed. They seemed grateful for the thoughtfulness and we good, my thought hopefully it'll in courage them to stick with it and more so to pay it forward.

Looking forward, looking forward-my number one mistake for which I paid the price with a broken leg. Look where you’re going. Can’t stress enough b/c every single accident I’ve had was not looking ahead!!!! I have learned a hard lesson. Good video. Be back in the saddle in a few months (I hope).

This had me in stitches
I like to ride flat pedals with vans slip on pros. The shoes are so simple no laces to get caught in pedals/ chain rings. The waffle outsole grips into the pins and, ultra cush insoles are great for supporting hard landings and comfort after the ride.

Just this past weekend I was checking bolts. Accidently loosened my non-drive side pedal. Some 4.5 miles later into my ride... Did someone swap on an oval chainring? Nope! Just a loose pedal chewing out my crank arm lol. Nice time to upgrade to hollowtech BB and some nice new cranks! Luckily, I got back home without having to walk the bike.
A good habit (sometimes bad) is saying hello to litterally everyone we see ever.

Oh man the litter picking up bit is not only a good habit but it was funny as hell too.
Good habit: keep a good stoppable distance between you and the rider in front. As an amateur getting familiar with my local bike trails i really dislike other riders breathing down my neck and sitting on my rear wheel when on tight trail runs. Dude, if I stack it you're going straight over me!
Blake your my bad habit love watching you send it lol
I've got some silicon elastic laces and they're the best thing ever. no knots, consistent pressure, more flex than regular laces, turns a lace up shoe into a slip on and there's no ends to get caught in a chain. Oh and they look clean AF too.
I love that energy when you seen the litter (empty water bottle) on the trail
I helped a dad and his son on my last ride - they were lost and had been riding 20km around looking for where they started - i pointed them in the right direction and suggested the TrailFork app :)

Ive always been taught when cornering to put your outside foot down so you can really power/pump your way around it and it raises the inside foot to decrease chance of it scraping the ground
Certain corners require that kind of technique, but in most other places, level pedals are best.

I already pick up litter whenever I see it and manicure the trail by removing rocks for a smoother ride. Others appreciate it too.
I ride one crank arm down often. It's a bad habit from many years of riding BMX, riding from one spot to the next.
Have you'all heard of Dynaplug? It's a device that can insert a rubber plug into the hole and seals it. I'd love to see a review by the crew about it and what you think about it.
