"They catered the song to each assassin on AS6." True, but are we really going to forget how they literally cherry-picked 'Dirty' for Kylie? I'm not mad, but facts are facts America.
Let’s be honest the best part of as5 was 1. Juju talking about her cats, 2. Juju saying “oh why not” picking crackers lipstick then putting it back and the whole voting with the parading for shea going home. And 3. Just juju.
The only parts of this season I want to see again are "I would walk sensually over to the thermostat..." and "You're a liar and is why Derrick doesn't like you."
fr, im honestly not a fan of the lip sync assassin format and im really hoping they bring back the top 2 or switch it up to somethig else for AS8. Also kylie's and shea's wins would be much more deserved because they would have had more wins. Like Kylie would have been top 2 in the ball, snatch game, and monologues and Shea in the ball and stand up.
Oh my god that would’ve been genius, everyone would be scalped as we were all (rightly) saying it was obvious who production wanted for their finalists and winner. I suppose the problem would be that the strong contenders would gather up wins in Shea’s absence up to her comeback and it’d be hard for her to equalise.
it's hilarious how despite AS6 having the completely same format (besides the comeback) it's a much massively better season than AS5. Goes to show how better production and casting can really change a season.
not really better casting imo (i dont think the cast is the main reasoning for a season flopping unless its down under). I think the show is able to pump out an amazing all stars season with any cast like in as6 where queens who didnt make it as far in their original season or arent strongly liked by the current fandom at the time such as kylie, rajah, jiggly , serena chacha, etc... were able to have amazing runs and story arcs. I think its how they edit the cast is what matters most.
@@dylannolastname730 i mean u just explained why better casting helped it be a better season. A large portion of the cast had a redemption storyline that made us very motivated to watch. A really good win equity helped as well and the edit too, like you said. This all helps make the overall winner a lot less predictable.
All stars 5 was fine the only problem I had was the queens were so scared of the fans they wouldn't vote for the obvious top threat Shea they were willing to sacrifice their own chance of winning to not get attacked by the fans
@@PureHoneyBoo …Huh? Alexis and Walter Mercado…the same? The only similarity is that they are the same ethnicity- like They read completely differently… whilst Shea repeated some lines and Juju.. (who honestly was amazing this episode) had a weaker runway than Alexis…
@@PureHoneyBoo Agreed. I know Walter Mercado. My grandma was always watching him on TV, and he was definitely a fun and charismatic performer. Alexis was doing herself dressed as Walter to be honest. Very similar to S13 where Kandy supposedly did Patrick Starr and really acted as herself lol.
The biggest problem with Derrick episode 1 is like, yeah this season would’ve been a lot better if she’d stayed longer, but after her performance episode 1 which was so clearly a bottom placement, if she’d just been placed LOW, then fans would’ve been calling *that* rigged. So it’s kinda damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
i don't think anyone's coming for Trinity K Bonet staying over Serena on AS6 in the same circumstances (TKB clearly had the worst performance and it was a comedy related thing), i mean she slayed the season. i can't imagine a universe in which she was eliminated and we didn't get to see her do Beyonce...
@@laincoubert7236 also even if you take riggory into it, fans would obviously prefer Trinity over Serena in the long term, at least Trinity has a "just let her have this one" quality to her (which they did and then absolutely fucked her over with rudemption BUT ANYWAY)
Likening AS5 to a Brantsteele simulation is actually such an accurate description that it's kinda scary. It is SUCH a shame to me still that this season was such a flop, because this cast and PARTICULARLY this top 5 deserved a better season to showcase the talents they brought to this season. I mean, Shea's runways and performances, Juju's first challenge win, Cracker's comedy, Blair's glow up, Alexis' improv skills, and so so much more was brought to the table here that would have been so much more impactful in a BETTER season. Shea doesn't deserve to have her well-earned win be tarnished by the reputation of a season that felt “MADE” for her to win. And also, I've said it once and I'll say it forever, justice for Mariah Paris Balenciaga.
My only problem is I personally wish that they casted Blair in All Stars 6 to actually show growth since she kind of was a bit meh in the season although I love her runways
I thought they were setting up for Shea to win all stars 7..that's what it looked like for her to get to the final 4 with the 3 star jump she got for winning the last challenge
Apparently Nina Bo'Nina Brown was invited for this season, but she dropped out as soon as she found out Shea was on the cast. I think she could tell that, not only was the season likely catered towards Shea, but they would've mostly just had Nina back to repeat her Season 9 storyline/rivalry with Shea.
When this All Stars aired i did not watched it, but i did watch season 9 and when they announced that Shea was in the cast i immediately thought: “It is made for her, she is the winner” and that sums up why it did not wanted to see the show at that period, she was gonna be crowned by production regardless.
I think it kinda sucks they did the double crowning in AS4 when most of the fans didnt see it as earned and there was a lot of backlash, so the production is hesitant to do it again, where imo AS5 and AS6 could both have justifiably been double crownings
They only did it because of the black lives matter movement, but we all know trinity was the only deserving winner, but her sin was to be white and from the south

I'm still in the beginning of the video but I paused it to come here personally thank you for giving Mariah Paris Balenciaga the appreciation she deserves
Felt the same way with the performance of Mariah and Gia both of them breaking the mold, giving us some message or representing their culture. Ending up in a safe position being totally unfair
I almost wonder if, given the overall feelings people have about this season, it would have dimmed her light a little bit. Mariah is a goddess and having her legacy reduced to, "the winner of All Stars worst season" would be criminal.
Alyssa Edward's lipsync performance was already a dead giveaway of the riggory. There's just no way she performs like that. It's highly likely that the production told her to make her performance underwhelming so that Shea could win
okay, a couple thoughts b/c some of the choices during this season keep me up at night ep 1, think production wanted ongina to make it far/be in the top 4 that we never got, so they saved her from the bottom 2 and sacrificed derrick in the process cuz ongina was more on their priority list. i think they just hoped the queens would send mayhem home and then they didn't. i think the moment cracker said what she said to ongina (which i honestly don't think was that bad considering that the opinion itself had been said by derrick, blair AND ongina herself but her delivery of it was rlly bad idk i think this just kinda got more amped than it needed to honestly) i think cracker became a useful player to production in the sense that they could give her the best track record without having to crown her because of her behavior. fans still call some of her wins rigged to this day (which i don't agree w/ but whatever opinions are opinions) and there was little support for her to win, so they could justify her not winning despite her track record. in that way, they could avoid ppl criticizing the season being rigged for shea in the same way ppl say AS2 was rigged for alaska. whether it's true or not, the fandom will always be suspicious of the fan-favorite queen who everyone thinks will win all stars getting the best track record. by giving cracker a better track record, the accusations of riggory towards shea in that regard are eliminated and instead you just have cracker fans (which to be clear, i am one myself) upset because despite her performing well, cracker can't be crowned due to fan reception. i 100% think shea deserves the crown here, but i think there were a lot of factors outside of track record that kinda make me think production wanted her to win in the end, one of them being production's eagerness to snipe mayhem and alexis out once they pulled her lipstick. also, i think it would have been a shea/cracker final two if they picked it like in AS4, and there's no way in hell cracker's beating shea to make me feel so...yeah overall i think this season is waaaay to micromanaged to be enjoyable, thus the way we feel about it now. also, not to continue to be a cracker apologist (i'm okay with her not winning, really) but her talking about what she went through prior to coming to AS5 (her apartment flooding and ruining her financially, her medical issues, implying that her partner attempted to take their own life, etc.) was relegated to untucked and whatcha packin even though it might have given at least a bit more context to her coming in to the season a bit on edge and disagreeable. doesn't excuse some of the behavior, but it would have at least been a more balanced view than what we got. overall, disappointed cuz the top three of this season is one of my favorites and they deserved a better season than what they got.
I think in terms of Derrick being the first out: I think she had this reputation as being pretty messy in terms of her drag, especially on the difference between being herself and doing the Britney Spears thing. So they almost had the idea of her being an early out from the getgo, even though it would’ve been fun to see her go on longer.
That's a great point. Derrick has never stood out to me outside of her BS schtick and her entertaining airhead shadiness. I don't think she would have made it far from the start (despite her talent). But I'm confused why production used her for filler while putting on her the same season as India. Feels like a missed opportunity when a storyline is presented and concluded in like 1 episode lol
Yesssss, I also don’t wanna hear nobody slander Blair, Bob does that enough 💀 Edit: I think there might be a misunderstanding in the replies so I guess I can summarise what I’m trying to say here. The original comment wasn’t serious I don’t think Bob “slandered” Blair I just think she was a little harsh on her with her critiques (just my opinion). Whether you think Blair was favoured or not I hope we can all agree that no queen deserves hate for being favoured. In my opinion I don’t think Blair was favoured but I know my opinion isn’t a fact so I understand if you feel differently. I do think white privilege is a thing but I just don’t think that was the reason Blair got praised (you don’t have to agree with me), obviously all white people have white privilege I just didn’t think Blair was favoured to begin with so that’s why I said that the judges didn’t favour Blair because she was white. Obviously white privilege is a thing on drag, as white skinny queens have been favoured by the judges when maybe they shouldn’t have been but I still don’t think that’s a good reason to send a queen hate. Bob is entitled to have any opinion she wants about Blair so sorry if it came across as if I didn’t think that. If you disagree with any of this or think it’s wrong feel free to explain your opinion (I’m not trying to shut anyone down/silence them)
@@icannot1104 this is definitely not true. Blair got sm hate after all stars bc she made it further than Alexis. If you follow her on Instagram you’d know she was depressed and had a hiatus from social media in 2020
@@icannot1104 nah she was definetely getting some hate, people love to diminish her by saying she's just another white wannabe-fashion queen, has no personality, etc
I still maintain that the problem with alexis and “scheming” was purely a language barrier and some poor word choice, it genuinely felt like she was asking people “so what voting system are we using” rather than a personal vendetta
It’s funny to hear that some of the all stars 7 queens threatend to walk out mid filming due to the riggory they felt was happening (im guessing with jinx). But it’s funny since they where once the one that production chose to win/be in the top 4 making the show rigged for them to reach very far but since now their the ones feeling it from production it’s an issue?.😭
Them giving juju three bottom placements on this season is beyond homophobic she was really the dominating force in all aspects of the game, challenges, charisma, looks, she did everything right but they had other plans I guess 🤷♀️ (Also whyd they have to do Alexis like that 😭)
What bothers me about the AllStar seasons, is it’s pretty much all set up to crown a specific queen regardless of how others do. Some get to show their improvements, some are just there for story, some are just there for fan service so production doesn’t give a crap. So a lot of times, the end results feel a little underwhelming.
"Shea just won because she's Shea Coulee" is like saying "well, she only won because she's really good at drag race" Like... Yeah. Yeah, that's correct. She's super good at it. And what? I would have been hella mad if she hadn't won tbh, and I was strongly team Sasha for season 9, so it's not like Im some super fan who thinks she was robbed. Shea deserved that win.
I have to say, when Kylie won AS6, I truly thought that Ra’Jah deserved to win. Still completely love Kylie but I thought Ra’Jah had the best storyline and was the strongest competitor. Although I do agree with the sentiment that the fans mainly have the “THEY DIDNT HAVE THE BEST TRACK RECORD” argument towards black queens.
I forget where I heard this so it may not be true but I think Derrick’s best impressions were cut from the show so they could put her in the bottom over Ongina which is a shame since Derrick def would’ve brought the drama production usually loves so much
This season was a trainwreck from start to finish but I rewatched it recently and it does have a certain charm to it... like current drag race is so set on following whatever narrative they decided on and take as little risks as possible to make it play out But seasons like this and ukvtw kind of have the early season messiness the queens nowadays are typically too cautious to partake in. Like it ran around the same time as s12 and they feel like they're from completely different eras . Also the consistently bad challenges and just chaotic energy overall made for some moments that live in my mind free ironically AND unironically (Alexis and the hairspray lid, derricks reads to India, AM-BURRR, basically the whole snatch game, Henry cavill, Morgan jumping over crackers leg, "you're a liar and this is why derrick don't like you" etc etc
Ngl I think what made this season disappointing the most was that it was literally just created for Shea Coulee to win (I love her and it’s not her fault but still) like we all knew she was going to win from the start, also the cast felt weird and had no chemistry between them either and of course the dumb “if you are not in the top you are in the bottom” rule. Also I agree Derrick should have stayed longer, we were robbed of so much drama.
Thank you for mentioning the lack of chemistry! This season felt a little uncanny to me and I couldn't really tell why. The improv challenges made the lack of chemistry stand out. Only 2 queens were able to volley off each other in the Snatch Game of Love, leaving Alexis to carry her group singlehandedly while everyone else flopped. And the TMZ challenge was... something else.
@@殺人光線 I 100% agree with you. I thought the challenges were dull and uninspiring and Alexis and Juju both did so good in the SG but were still put in the bottom because of the twist. The cast didn’t feel like an all stars cast, as some of them were very forgettable on their original seasons (Blair, Mayhem and India)
You bring up a good point here. If a black queen wins without the best track record, it's all about the track record. If they do have the best track record, it's "rigged for them". It's such a shitty thing about parts of the community
I’d love a “if AS5 and 6 had a top 2” video! I did one for AS6 myself and ended up with 4 wins each for Ginger, Kylie, and Ra’jah, I think it could have been a really good season as well (though losing Ganja is a heavy tradeoff). It’d be interesting to see how our takes would compare.
@@unfortuNate99 bro, basic critical thinking skills. Not denying that she was on 3 seasons, but the comment is implying that 2/3 seasons she has featured on does not count whether it be to an unfair elimination or riggory. So although she has been on 3 seasons, she has only had one 'true' or fair season that actually represented her and her drag.
@@Rhyster lol all im saying is that maybe its not BS if shes tried drag race 3 times and failed? You cant just keep bringing queens back because their last showing was “invalid.” Its insulting to everyone on those seasons and it takes up space from other girls who are still waiting on a FIRST “second showing” (while some are on their third, fourth!)
Regarding the variety/talent show: I have the feeling that production is purposely rewarding "traditional" talent/show acts, in order to keep the original and creative ones intentionally small. On one hand to highlight that the show favours performers, trying to keep the "successful" acts/performers attached to the franchise afterwards (eg. The Vegas Show) and on the other hand to give unique acts less focus, for these queens not to be able to build a brand/reputation with an act that does not fully overlap with the branding of the franchise aka the franchise can keep unique talents small, as the franchise doesn't know how to capitalize/profit from them (yet)
what you said about people only questioning wins when it’s a POC queen is SO TRUE! it’s insanely frustrating because, tbh, i think jaida, shea, and yvie deserved to win despite not having the absolute best track record. i fell in love with them and their drag and seeing them get read for not having THE BEST track record when, as you said, no one bats an eye at willow pill makes it honestly so blatantly clear that people have some racist tendencies they need to work out.
Binge the high points! I’m a huge Miz Cracker fan, but I thought Shea was outstanding. I’m excited to meet and see Jujubee this fall. So much to think about, thanks for all of you’re incite. It was a shame to see Derik leave too soon, but I felt that way about Gia, her performance was so creative. And well, you’re sacrificed here on TV, but now there’s the Vegas show, and the tours back in full swing. Great for the fans to see everyone up front live. I met Miz Cracker with the Vivienne this summer, so I’m good. Kornbread, Crystal, prianka, man that was a great work the runway cast. Omg and Kylie, how could I forget Ms Sonic Love. Literally the most lovely person I had almost ever interacted with at a meet and greet. Cheers to all the talented ladies and how fortunate for us fans to see.
There's tea they even edited out two of Derrick's best impressions. They really threw out such storyline potential. And I guess then they didn't know what to do with India so they bombarded her with questionable (except snatch game) bottom placements. Such a weird season in terms of production
For the I'm in Love challenge, I don't think the queens had creative celebrity choices. Well Blair did Hannibal Lector and that was pretty cool. But your Dumbledore is so good. I wish the queens had more crazy choices like that.
Small objection here: people DID talk about Kylie winning with a poor track record but we all got called 'transphobic' for it and most people are thus scared to mention it. So on the one hand we're getting called racist for not calling out underwhelming white winners but when we do and point out their objective win numbers and say TKB or Rajah deserved to win we're transphobic 🤷♂ It's almost as if some of us are judging based on skill, talent and charisma instead of the amount of melanin in someone's skin or whether they identify with their birth sex or not.
For the episode 4 challenge, you didn't mention Blair at all and to me Blair did the absolute worst challenge. Juju & Miz carried their whole scene and Blair said like one thing. Blair should've been in the bottom but she got saved for like no reason.
I started watching drag race in 2020 just before quarantine. And even as a newer fan of drag race who has only watched one season [Season 12] I could tell that something was different. I could tell there were weird song choices, weird challenges and lackluster storylines.
Ive heard that the Morgan v Cracker lipsync had to be done over because Morgan assassinated Cracker in the first take and they had to have Morgan take it down a notch to make it look more like a tie
Also imo If Mariah had done her gag with the red paint at the END of the performance it would’ve been a better climax and more impactful and would’ve landed her in the top. By doing it near the beginning/middle, the performance peaked too early and it somewhat was downhill from there. The piece was BEAUTIFUL and important but I feel like that was the biggest mistake she made there.

"second language my ass"
Also Alexis saying: "that's why derrick don't like you"
The only parts of this season I want to see again are "I would walk sensually over to the thermostat..." and "You're a liar and is why Derrick doesn't like you."
I feel like this season would have been SO much better with the top 2 format 😭 we need to see that video.
Specially with only seven episodes before the finale. Let these girls win something. 🤦🏻♂️
Imagine that Juju winning the the girl group, Hotel, improve, Snatch game and maybe the garden ball as Ambuuuuuuur
alexis would've been a frontrunner for sure, she did so well.
fr, im honestly not a fan of the lip sync assassin format and im really hoping they bring back the top 2 or switch it up to somethig else for AS8. Also kylie's and shea's wins would be much more deserved because they would have had more wins. Like Kylie would have been top 2 in the ball, snatch game, and monologues and Shea in the ball and stand up.
Juju and Alexis would’ve been front runners and would’ve cost Shea her crown
That would’ve been more entertaining than the Shew coronation season
The best thing the season brought us was the compilation of Bob hating Blair
Imagine if they had put Mayhem in the top for episode 3 and Shea did go home, that would’ve been a gag
They would have thrown in a comeback episode
@@tielphinstone3556 that would be even better, we would get the gag of Shea getting eliminated but still get to see more of her
I would have kinda lived
I would have lived, I liked s9 Shea better. I wanted Alexis to win the season, but oh well
Oh my god that would’ve been genius, everyone would be scalped as we were all (rightly) saying it was obvious who production wanted for their finalists and winner.
This part
not really better casting imo (i dont think the cast is the main reasoning for a season flopping unless its down under).
All stars 5 was fine the only problem I had was the queens were so scared of the fans they wouldn't vote for the obvious top threat Shea they were willing to sacrifice their own chance of winning to not get attacked by the fans
this format works when there are more girls and more episodes so more ppl can have wins
the saddest part about this season is that we didn't get nearly enough Alexis Mateo or Derrick Berry. it was such a waste of a great cast!
The fact that Alexis Mateo was there almost all season long and did not lip-sync for a win one time still completely infuriates me🙀
But she wasn’t the best for any of the challenges
@@PureHoneyBoo snatch game.
@@xxdepressionxx5772 her snatch game was good but I pretty much got Alexis while both Jujubee and Shea were playing their respective characters
They would have screamed rigged but after derrick created a new drama no one would care
i don't think anyone's coming for Trinity K Bonet staying over Serena on AS6 in the same circumstances (TKB clearly had the worst performance and it was a comedy related thing), i mean she slayed the season. i can't imagine a universe in which she was eliminated and we didn't get to see her do Beyonce...
They only bring friends/family as an assassin so they can have them pull that queens lipstick, that’s why Alexis was crying when she saw Vanjie
I would have never come back to an all stars that Shea was on. The writing was on the wall ever since season 9 that Shea would come back for a crown
This right here is the correct answer
I think it kinda sucks they did the double crowning in AS4 when most of the fans didnt see it as earned and there was a lot of backlash, so the production is hesitant to do it again, where imo AS5 and AS6 could both have justifiably been double crownings
They only did it because of the black lives matter movement, but we all know trinity was the only deserving winner, but her sin was to be white and from the south
I really wanna see Peppermint on an All Stars season and win so all of the Season 9 top 4 have a crown as they deserve

Why do you revel in the bullying of another queen...
@@du3844-m4v calling that bullying is honestly insulting to anyone who's been bullied. expressing that you don't like the way someone does drag (which it's a stretch to say bob even thinks that of blair) is not bullying. you're allowed to not like people and be vocal about that, and it's not that bob even dislikes anything about blair on a personal level. how could that possibly quality as bullying.
The way that Mariah was robbed of the Talent Show win and the Top 3 was clear from Episode 1...
THISSS.. just gotta stay silent and be grateful for the outcome we’ve got
A big problem of the season was them trying to get queens to cancel gigs during pride just to film the season
Any other month and we might’ve had an actual **All** Stars season
wow… and they get a lot of their revenue from pride gigs. that’s kinda fucked, they should do it in august or may.
Juju & Mariah not being in the top for the variety show is still one of the most baffling decisions they’ve ever made.
Btw your I’m In Love verse ATE.
just imagine an alternate ending where Mariah Paris “the successful” “the icon” “the legend” “the beauty” balenciaga won all stars 5
It's highly likely that the production told her to make her performance underwhelming so that Shea could win
okay, a couple thoughts b/c some of the choices during this season keep me up at night
ep 1, think production wanted ongina to make it far/be in the top 4 that we never got, so they saved her from the bottom 2 and sacrificed derrick in the process cuz ongina was more on their priority list. i think they just hoped the queens would send mayhem home and then they didn't. i think the moment cracker said what she said to ongina (which i honestly don't think was that bad considering that the opinion itself had been said by derrick, blair AND ongina herself but her delivery of it was rlly bad idk i think this just kinda got more amped than it needed to honestly) i think cracker became a useful player to production in the sense that they could give her the best track record without having to crown her because of her behavior. fans still call some of her wins rigged to this day (which i don't agree w/ but whatever opinions are opinions) and there was little support for her to win, so they could justify her not winning despite her track record. in that way, they could avoid ppl criticizing the season being rigged for shea in the same way ppl say AS2 was rigged for alaska. whether it's true or not, the fandom will always be suspicious of the fan-favorite queen who everyone thinks will win all stars getting the best track record. by giving cracker a better track record, the accusations of riggory towards shea in that regard are eliminated and instead you just have cracker fans (which to be clear, i am one myself) upset because despite her performing well, cracker can't be crowned due to fan reception. i 100% think shea deserves the crown here, but i think there were a lot of factors outside of track record that kinda make me think production wanted her to win in the end, one of them being production's eagerness to snipe mayhem and alexis out once they pulled her lipstick. also, i think it would have been a shea/cracker final two if they picked it like in AS4, and there's no way in hell cracker's beating shea to make me feel so...yeah overall i think this season is waaaay to micromanaged to be enjoyable, thus the way we feel about it now. also, not to continue to be a cracker apologist (i'm okay with her not winning, really) but her talking about what she went through prior to coming to AS5 (her apartment flooding and ruining her financially, her medical issues, implying that her partner attempted to take their own life, etc.) was relegated to untucked and whatcha packin even though it might have given at least a bit more context to her coming in to the season a bit on edge and disagreeable. doesn't excuse some of the behavior, but it would have at least been a more balanced view than what we got. overall, disappointed cuz the top three of this season is one of my favorites and they deserved a better season than what they got.
The racism note at the end about fans only up roaring when a black queen wins without the best track record is correct and I’m glad you brought it up
I think in terms of Derrick being the first out: I think she had this reputation as being pretty messy in terms of her drag, especially on the difference between being herself and doing the Britney Spears thing.
OMG!!!! That Dumbledore verse was AMAZING!!!! I would have loved to have it! 😊
Yesssss, I also don’t wanna hear nobody slander Blair, Bob does that enough 💀
Edit: I think there might be a misunderstanding in the replies so I guess I can summarise what I’m trying to say here.

I heard Shea almost left because she only had one star then jumped to 4 after winning the last challenge
I’m so glad I’m not the only one you loves “I’m in Love” Bringing the taste as usual I see 😌
Shea Coulee is a winner of drag race because of this season so I cannot be mad at all
Them giving juju three bottom placements on this season is beyond homophobic she was really the dominating force in all aspects of the game, challenges, charisma, looks, she did everything right but they had other plans I guess 🤷♀️
(Also whyd they have to do Alexis like that 😭)
What bothers me about the AllStar seasons, is it’s pretty much all set up to crown a specific queen regardless of how others do. Some get to show their improvements, some are just there for story, some are just there for fan service so production doesn’t give a crap. So a lot of times, the end results feel a little underwhelming.
So many things could’ve saved this season like *waiting more than a year to shove another all stars in our face*
I forget where I heard this so it may not be true but I think Derrick’s best impressions were cut from the show so they could put her in the bottom over Ongina which is a shame since Derrick def would’ve brought the drama production usually loves so much
THANK YOU for saying you enjoy I’m in Love because I do not understand the hate it gets. It’s easily one of the catchiest RPDR songs.
“To all the people who hate this song…get some taste” I’m crying 😂😭
I cannot stress enough how much I hate All Stars 5. Wasting so many good queens like why 🥺
Mariah calling jason momoa “jc momoa” and then “superman” is iconic
for me this season felt rigged for Shea so it felt like a very anti climatic season because there was no way Miz Cracker or Jujubee was gonna win
When i first watched episode 3. My predictions were literally “Blair And Mayhem: Worst Team”
...PEOPLE HATE I'MM IN LOVE?! I honestly write a new verse for every new unnatainable crush I have
If I had to write a verse on each unnatainable crush I’ve had then I would probably have a whole discography 😂
When Mariah didn't with episode one, I was genuinely taken aback.
Mariah was ROBBED. Period
No she was not
i never understood why they call it a variety show and never award the best performances that offer variety ugh
Now i'm hyped for the "What If AS5 hasn't rigged" video
Also a reminder when this season aired Mariah’s talent could NOT have been more relevant
The Dumbledore verse and delivery though 💕💀
Justice for Alexis Mateo I hope she does a vstw season sometime in the future so she gets a true second showing.
You mean fourth
@@unfortuNate99 They said 'true' second showing implying that some of her seasons she was unfairly voted out
@@Rhyster yes but alexis has had two “second showings” so far lol. She was on s3, as1, and as5.
WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT BESTIES ORIGINAL VERSE HERE???? slayed. top 3 material honestly.
what you said about people only questioning wins when it’s a POC queen is SO TRUE! it’s insanely frustrating because, tbh, i think jaida, shea, and yvie deserved to win despite not having the absolute best track record. i fell in love with them and their drag and seeing them get read for not having THE BEST track record when, as you said, no one bats an eye at willow pill makes it honestly so blatantly clear that people have some racist tendencies they need to work out.
The fact that Blair was not even mentioned during the SHEMZ challenge was wild
It honestly felt like even the show forgot she was there. They had filler girls they wanted to go, DA’s they wanted to push, and then Blair is… there.
"im in love" is such a good song idk why people hate it to much... repetitive? but its catchy
I think it’s the stigma that it’s associated and attached to AS5. Great song nonetheless.
There's tea they even edited out two of Derrick's best impressions. They really threw out such storyline potential. And I guess then they didn't know what to do with India so they bombarded her with questionable (except snatch game) bottom placements. Such a weird season in terms of production
Totally disagree that Shea’s was the weakest Finale runway. That look is my personal favorite look I’ve seen on Drag Race.

Nicole Paige Brooks should've won AS5
Derrick going home first was a HOT MESS!
For the I'm in Love challenge, I don't think the queens had creative celebrity choices. Well Blair did Hannibal Lector and that was pretty cool. But your Dumbledore is so good. I wish the queens had more crazy choices like that.
To me, Mariah should have won episode 1.
I'd love to see a "What if AS5/6 had the Top 2 format".
Shea was even shocked she beat Alyssa in that lip sync. 🤷♀️
When are you gonna drop your piece on spotify? 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

PLEASE WRITE MORE VERSE!!! I’m in love with that verse
For the episode 4 challenge, you didn't mention Blair at all and to me Blair did the absolute worst challenge. Juju & Miz carried their whole scene and Blair said like one thing. Blair should've been in the bottom but she got saved for like no reason.
the “dumbledore!” is giving potter puppet pals and i love it
I started watching drag race in 2020 just before quarantine. And even as a newer fan of drag race who has only watched one season [Season 12] I could tell that something was different. I could tell there were weird song choices, weird challenges and lackluster storylines.
I’m in love is in my top 2 songs from rpdr, it’s really chill and lovely.
Btw, your dumbledore verse was so good !!
Ive heard that the Morgan v Cracker lipsync had to be done over because Morgan assassinated Cracker in the first take and they had to have Morgan take it down a notch to make it look more like a tie
IM SO HAPPY U DID UR VERSE ON DUMBLEDORE HE IS SUCH AN ICON
Also imo If Mariah had done her gag with the red paint at the END of the performance it would’ve been a better climax and more impactful and would’ve landed her in the top. By doing it near the beginning/middle, the performance peaked too early and it somewhat was downhill from there. The piece was BEAUTIFUL and important but I feel like that was the biggest mistake she made there.
„I don‘t know how many queens spend their time at best western“ *looks at trixie motel* well theres at least one!🤣
