- What would happen in a reality where the producers sat back and let the queens duke it out themselves on All Stars 4? No unfair placements, no production rigging or favoritism? Would there still be a double win? Would the LaLaPaRuZa be more of a blood bath?
We're going to dive into every episode of Drag Race All Stars 4, make the fairest placements possible, and see how much that changes the direction of the entire season. Maybe it will lead to a Naomi Smalls win like we all want and deserve. Or maybe we'll get the same result of Trinity the Tuck and Monet X Change both taking home a crown.

i dont think naomi would eliminate manila in this scenario tbh. She eliminated manila just for a spot on the top4 and in this scenario she was already on the top4. Also, Manila saved her the week before.

Because of Manila's lipstick choice and during the aftermath she said she is ready to send home anyone over Latrice that really tarnished every contestant's trust in her. They also saw through Manila's fake crying.
So in this scenario, Naomi would have saved Manila also because Manila is one of Naomi's favorite queen.

Apparently, the AS4 Super Queen video was filmed AFTER the runway and final critiques. Monique’s performance was so low-energy because she’d already 👏 been 👏 eliminated 👏

Seeing this made me think why Mo Heart and Jujubee returned from UKvW. Yes, Mo and Jujubee did amazing on AS4 and AS5 but they should've left off with that. I know in multiple alternate universes, Mo and Jujubee both got crowned, respectfully.
Rupaul said in her podcast that during filming of season 10 he didnt really liked Monique that well.
It was when Rupaul watched the show with all the narration that she fell in love with Monique, she never got to saw how much of a character Monique was in her confessionals.
So i think its pretty clear why Monique and Jujubee got picked, Rupaul loved their confessionals and thought they were funny.

@@0927kira I think it’s more of that Mo had changed her style of drag and wanted to show everyone how much of her drag had changed since All Stars
I think it's a mix of them both having good all stars performances which a lot of people thought should have had the crown, Ru knows for sure that he likes them/they can make good tv, and Jujubee, being Laotian-Thai American would give Pangina someone to talk to not in English.
Still think the season should have been non elimination like AS7 cause it's not like we had a huge cast and for most of the girls this was their first All Stars. And maybe take some of the extra episodes from season 14.
Manila had a great variety show performance, kinda shocked that you didn't place her at a high at least
I feel like Monet and Naomi being the top 2 in the makeover would give Monet another top placement and make Monique and Monet’s double crowning more satisfying because their track records would match a bit more

Since Mo won this you should do I put Mo into all stars 7 in stead of trinity and see how she would do in the challenges and in the season in general.
So I'm not sure if Naomi would send home Manila since in this circumstance Manila never tried to send her home/threaten to. Manila's downfall was her trying to save Latrice and her being high multiple times. Naomi's strategy was to get top 4, and without Manila having power to send her home, I think she would just leave her be.

When Manila chose Monet's lipstick over Latrice when Latrice was doing the worst and EVEN said during the aftermath that she would save Latrice over anyone, that really put a target on her back. They also saw through her acting and crying.

i dont really agree with the gia vs valentina lipsync. you said that the songs were chosen to cater to the queens who have not been eliminated so I think that in this scenario production would have given kitty girl to valentina and she would have won over gia
Had Farrah never fallen in any of her two takes. She would of been just safe, and Monet would of had her first bottom in the first episode. That would of led to a series of different events where she probably would of been eliminated mid season.

Monet should have been in the bottom regardless. She was so confident in her talent and completely flopped and also in a situation she can control. Farrah didn‘t plan on falling and although she fell she made sure the show went on. Farrah should have been low and Monet in the bottom.
The talent show, jersey justice and her snatch game were all uncomfortable to watch :/ thankfully she picked it up a bit in the second half, but I doubt she would've got that far if she was up for elimination at jersey justice.
Ugh I love that you brought my dream of Monique and Monét winning together. I would have cried seeing this actually happen. They were both hands down my favorite queens from season 10 and I loved their runs on All Stars.
I also wish Monique won over Blu tbh.

With how this plays out, I would have made the top two Monique and Naomi because they both had more than one win, while the other two did not, and Naomi had as many bottom placements as Latrice and Monet, but she had no lows while Monet had two, and she had one high while Latrice had none. Also, Naomi won every lip sync in this scenario, which is extra points in my eyes.
No way Trinity is an early out and not even TOP5 … she slayed the whole Season and she is and always was winner material … in my humble opinion :)

I'm sad that we got one episode less. The seasons are planned in advance for a certain number of episodes. This means we need another queen to come back in the lipsync episode, or we need a non-elimination. I would love if it was Manila, but that gaggy elimination is not something I see producers giving up. We need another episode somewhere though.

I love this version of AS4 : every single queen from the top 8 gets a top2 placement in the first 4 episodes, with only ep5 seeing queens getting their 2nd win. I like when the early episodes are balanced

They chose Val to go home originally because she had the worst track record of the bottom 4. In this scenario it was Trinity with the worst. The logic is the same.
Naomi sent home Manila because she knew she needed to guarantee her spot in the finale, also so she could have a chance to win, AND on top of that she's more close to Latrice and Monet than she was Manila. That doesn't change here, sure she's guaranteed a spot in that finale this time but as we saw Naomi is a strategic competitor and having Manila there would make it MUCH more difficult for her to end up in that Top 2.

I would have loved this version of AS4 the only big draw back is us missing some of trinity's beautiful runways, and losing naomi's adrenaline lip sync. thank gosh there would be no sex and the kitty girl challenge though.

Since it was a rule, I don't think it's ok to have Naomi in Top2 for Snatch Game, even if she was second funniest. I think in that case she would have been chopped in the roast. And then I don't think Valentina would ever get Adrenaline, the choice of the songs was clearly made to give advantage to the remaining All Stars. Adrenaline, as you also acknowledged wouldn't be very much Valentina's vibe and they wouldn't want her to lose to Gia Gunn. I know it's a fantasy season where everything should be "fair". But what's fair? Life's not fair hahaha
But for real, how you can assign the songs in a fair way? The only real fair thing to do is to give to the actual competitors some advantage, they've earned it staying in the competition till that point
the not rigged series is cool, but i LOVE the "how __ shouldve went series" so much! imo, it truly encapsulates the season and makes it more fun to watch
I think these videos are much better when we do the polls first. It's more engaging and fun, and it seems much more fair when our votes are taken into account.

In episode 6, why do you think the songs would change? I ask because I always kinda thought that they have a list of approved licensed songs, and the producers choose the song based on who is going to perform/the song that best fits the theme for the week. So I think Naomi keeps Adrenaline. Which would change up the outcomes a little bit.

Based off this scenario, I'm going to agree with everything except that if things went this way I believe that Monique would've had more confidence coming into that final challenge. She would've done just a little bit better than she did, which would have been enough to justify a solo win. Even if Monet did better in the final performance, it wasn't Sasha vs Shea better enough to erase Monique's much better track record.
Months late, but I don’t know if Naomi would eliminate Manila in this scenario. Naomi eliminated Manila, because she didn’t feel like she could trust Manila’s decision making process. In this scenario, with Latrice having a win, and being in the bottom with Trinity (not Monet) you’ve removed the two factors that drove Naomi to eliminate Manila.
Naomi and the others could have considered Manila’s decision to send home Trinity, and not Latrice, justifiable, given the two had similar track records. Then also the fact that Monet’s lipstick was not there for Manila to pick up as fodder to save Latrice. It’s known that Monet, Monique and Naomi had the “Momomi” alliance in AS4, and they had each other’s backs, but in picking up Trinity’s lipstick, as opposed to Monet’s, Manila hasn’t trifled with an alliance that eventually took her out of the competition. They have no real reason to mistrust Manila anymore, plus, in this scenario, Manila is the one who saved Naomi from elimination the week prior, not Latrice.

I think Mo Heart would've done better in the finale if the happened because I think Mo went into the finale knowing she'd lose. I think she felt defeated? I just feel like she would've been more motivated if she never landed in the low/bottom category.
I actually think Monet should have been up for elimination in E1, either as a bottom 3 or a bottom 2 with Jasmine. Reason being, Farrah was good *until* she fell down. Monet was not good at any point.

It could still be possible that in this scenario, she goes for Monet. Naomi went with eliminating the biggest threat BUT there was also the argument of Naomi being saved by both Manila and Latrice so she could have taken that into consideration. In the original season, Manila not being able to LSFYL sort of gave Latrice a leverage to argue that she saved her.
Genuinely asking: at 21:45 you say that all the songs were tailored for the queen still in the competition, why would Valentina be doing adrenaline and not hey kitty girl? No shade or hate. Just wondering the rationale.
Edit: can I also just say that I LOVE this outcome?? Would have made AS4 one of my favorite seasons. The double crowning of Monet and Trinity really ruined it for me. I wish this had happened.
