RC Icons | Traxxas Stampede VXL - What A Ripper!

- We are FINALLY bashing a Stampede on this channel!
Welcome back to the channel guys, today we're making an RC Icons video featuring the Traxxas Stampede. We are using a 2WD VXL model in this video and it absolutely RIPS, but I think this video can still speak quite a lot for the more entry level focused XL5 models as well. I love the pede in all forms and am happy to make a video featuring it!
The 2WD Stampede has been around for such a long time and has likely been many peoples first RC vehicle. I know the 4WD version exists, but when I think Stampede I always think 2wd so that's why I chose this one for the video. 2WD VXL is in my opinion the best representation of this truck.
Anyway I hope you enjoy the video! I had a lot of cleaning and wrenching to do after making it haha.

Do you mean the 4wd one? I really want one of those at some point and I definitely love the 2wd one!
@Bash_TheStampede Yeah, years ago, I bought a used brushed Stampede 4x4 and added a vxl power plant. Years later, I upgraded all the axels. When I bought it, it still had the original shocks with aluminum shock caps.

A 3 yr old XL5 is turning into VXL , hex hardware about all thats needed but i am stumped on gearing ,what pineon/ spur are you running ? Good imfo & got yourself a sub.
I’m running it with the stock gearing for a 2wd VXL. 19 tooth pinion, 86 tooth spur gear. Thank you for the sub! I really appreciate it. Let me know how your VXL conversion goes. You 100% won’t be disappointed haha the Stampede is wild with the VXL in there.
@@Bash_TheStampede TY . Bandit VXL for same amount of years ( the Purple body ) which got me to go brushless , also. Got Lil videos of both on my tiny have nothing to do channel lol under my name . I'm lifelong los Flyer but i suck @ videos.
