Omg man I've been training to dunk for a while now and watched other technique videos they never went that in-depth about the knee I always bent it assuming you got more power when you then extended it now I can jump way higher thanks man for the rigid leg help 👍
Grip strength is important. You can work on this buy squeezing a tennis ball, or practising palming the basketball. Players who can't palm the ball, use the momentum of the basketball to keep it pressed against their palm as they raise it up for a dunk!

I just ordered vert shock and I'm starting this coming Monday and I wanna know if the program pertains mostly to 2 foot jumpers or 1 or both? btw I'm a 1 foot jumper
joshua shark I have the program. it works for both feet. Their are also exercises like horizontal bounds and 1 legged box jumps that work on your one leg jumps.
yo Adam I've been working out and 1 week ago a decided to take a week off because I couldn't jump at my max and after taking a week off nothing changed what should I do I want to get back to dunking again thank you
This could be due to overtraining or Central Nervous System (CNS) fatigue but is most likely a combination of both. A good test to measure and track your CNS is a very simple tap test (here is a handy app you can use smudge.io/cnstaptest/).
yo that's not the problem its not like I stopped working out for a year its that my cns is fatigued and am overtraining I just want to know how to recover someone please help ??
1) Be sure to stay hydrated. Drink lots of water 2) Eat clean. Limit Starchy Carbs and Refined Sugars / Junk Food. Consume lots of clean protein, vegetables, and fruit 3) Make sure you’re stretching everyday and warming up/cooling down after each workout, training session, or game 4) Ice any sore areas a few times per day, and immediately after activity 5) Get your sleep schedule on track and make sure you're getting at least 7 hours per night
TheMVPKing 98 its because when you jump with 2 feet you have more time in the air to perform moves compared to a one foot jumper that has all his momentum heading towards the net. dont get me wrong, you can still perform moves like a windmill and so and do crazy stuff like lavine from the 2016 dunk contest but a 2 foot jumper has the better advantage. Just look at one of the best dunkers in the world(justin darlington). He is a 2 foot dunker and has incredible hand time allowing to perform different moves. Hope that helped.
I'm 14, 6'2" and I wasn't able to touch the rim either but I started jumping as high as I could a few times right after practice. It worked out and now I'm very close to dunk.

This is helpful because I am more of an explosive, bouncy type athlete so I am better jumping of one leg

come on men what is your music background tannnnn tananannnn tananannnnn tanan tantan
I'm a one leg jumper and brother a two foot jumper. My vert is higher than his but he can do better dunks how's that?
TheMVPKing 98 Maybe he is more athletic
Towelie he's 6'5 I'm 6'3
your brother is taller and has more reach.
your vert is higher but your shorter , so the vertical you have over him goes to the inches he has in height over you

I’m 14 and around 6ft and can’t touch the rim? I can touch the back board with a standing jump
I'm 14, 6'2" and I wasn't able to touch the rim either but I started jumping as high as I could a few times right after practice. It worked out and now I'm very close to dunk.

Thanks man! We really appreciate the feedback and support
Damn thats why im able to jump higher 180 than going foward
What exactly is his vertical??
High enough to dunk hahaha 👍💪🏀
Notice how much he says alright
Wtf is homeboy lookin at the whole time
Is it possible to have a height of 175?
Yes, it is possible..
THINCPRO Basketball thanks!
6'2 150lbs Am I heavy enough to dunk?
Tamilore Fashae it shouldn’t really matter about weight it’s just about the amount of fat and muscle you have
if only I was at least 6'1 I wouldn't be here 😂😂😂
Many players over 6 feet struggle with their verticals!
TheJukes46 - Shaq was 6'8 and couldn't dunk
I'm 6foot3 and struggling to get two hand dunks. But maybe that's cause im not trying hard enough.
TheJukes46 - dude I’m 6'2 and i still am way to stupid to dunk xD
