- The Pixel 7 was one of the best budget phones in 2022. The $599 price tag was a hard one to beat. But with the Pixel 8 announcement on October 4th, is this the best time to get the Pixel 7 or WAIT for the Pixel 8!?

Picked up the pixel 7 for $400 new 2 weeks ago. Battery life is AMAZING on android 14. 10 hours SOT. Dont listen to the lies!
Yes same here, after android 14 battery is better now
Where did you get new?
Only usning wifi or mobile data, mine get roughly about 4-5 hours SOT. but I only use mobile data.

Picked this up today for £279 brand new for my mother. Can't argue at this price
Really appreciate the production quality of your vids
Very insightful review.
Good job.
How about a Re review after the April update????
Hii are you willing to sell your pixel

I didn't even watch the new Google event with the release of the 8. Just historically, I knew that the specs weren't going to be anything to "wow" about from a generational point of view. I have the Pixel 7 Pro, and I am really just fine with it and it's doing everything I need it to do. Upon checking the specs of the 8 Pro and looking at some of the new camera and photo editing features, I just maturely asked myself "do I really need that / will it change my life?" and the answer was "no".
This is the first time in 6 years that I am not excited to upgrade my phone "just to see what the new one will be like" and I am actually okay with that.
the device battery not degraded?
Yeah, I would agree with most of the problems. But the things I personally hate the most is the overheating, battery charging speed, and problems with other power bricks and battery life
i just got yesterday a new google pixel 7 , and firt time charging was over heating
After install android 14 better battery
@@heymariagomezit happened same here, but it will get better in days. After android 14, haven't seen hearing while charging
I bought a refurbished one from Best Buy and haven't had any issues.
I switched from iphone and I still love iphone but man, pixel is altogether a really awesome change❤ it's awesome, I love every aspect of my pixel I get full day battery with SOT of 6-7 hrs the only issue is fingerprint sensor, it's a hit and miss sometimes, I miss apple face ID sometimes, rest everything awesome and I love pixel 🥰🥰
The pixel is such a great phone! Can't wait for the pixel 8
you upgraded just one year early. Pixel 8 will your face id problem.
I own the Pixel 7 and turned off the 90Hz and always-on-display, which are both unnecessary features imo and now I have a 2 day phone with 5 hours of sot.
So brother what phone do you recommend price like a pixel 7 but not pixel 7
For me I have s23. But the camera are over saturated and not same as what I see. My pixel 7 camera are far more
Just yesterday I bought the pixel 7 and the first time I charged it it overheated, what other phone do you recommend with the same price?
It is normal for first bootup because a lot of process are running in the background for the first time. Mine was also warm on its first charge but the next day it was fine
2:30 could you give exact numbers like 4 or 5 hours of screen on time and show the chart that's on your phone . And state what apps you were using . That way it can be more precise .
He's lying
@@Sejuani89really???
Yes I’m lying about a phone that I used since it launched because Sejuani89 said so
Yes battery is little bit a concern but overall phone is super in the price. For general porpose the phone is absolutely superb.
It is!
I hate the software. It tries jamming features down my throat and I either have to figure out how to turn them off or waste my time skipping through a tutorial I didn't ask for.
I’m about to buy a 7 pro, second hand, for 500€, the phone is only 2 months old so battery should be fine. My main goal is to have decent phone camera, it’s a good deal right?
Yes that's a very good deal I have & love my 7 pro it's much better since Android 14 btw
Pixel 7 in the same price category as the iphone 15 and s23 ?
no, it is not, unfortunatly
I am planning to buy p7 for next 4 years of use will it last i am a average user but taks too much photos and Vedios so i had the budget to buy p7 so ?? Will it last dor next 4 years
Si
easily brother
it will last. I had a pixel 2xl and used it 4 years, now my mom is using it )). for a photo video lover like you, the storage option should be a concern only :)
@@denischiosa4496 2xl is the best pixel phone ever. Such an awesome product by google
It will last
You said that you had to start recharging twice a day. How many screen on hours do you do a day on average?
Charging twice? Maybe 7-8
Thanks
Tomorrow will be the day. Pixel 8
100%. We move bro
No complaints with my Pixel 7.
I need a new phone, I know pixel 8 is really close to being released but I don't have that kind of money to get the latest model, Should I just get this? I'm moving to a big city for college. Want to be as conservative with money as possible.
just ordered one off of back market for less than 400 bucks
the pixel 7 or 8?@@skezobruh
@@skezobruhsame bro
Honestly. The P7 is pretty good
Great video...I am a hardcore pixel fan boy. Started with the 3 series...never looked back.
Just clean, clean simple android as it should be.
Had my first iPhone(15pro) changed back to pixel 7 after 5 weeks.
They may not be the biggest, the baddest, and the best built phones out there,; but Pixel phones have what no other phone company has...
They have soul!!
Keep on rocking Google. You make the smart phone world a better place 😊
You perhaps the most honest reviewers
I am planning on getting Pixel 7 now. should I get it or wait? Please help
wait for the 8A
I see my pixel 7 selfie quality deteriorating... Anyone else faced this problem?
Yes ..in low light condition...I faced the same problem
I bought my Pixel 7 less than a month ago. I know Pixel 8 is out, but it was a bit too rich for my blood. Going from a mid-range Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro (that's a mouthfull of a name) to this was awesome. No bloatware, the camera is quite good and i think overall is a nice phone. On Android 14 is quite snappy, AI features like speech-to-text in the ChatGPT app function quite well. It is quite a nice piece of equipement.
Is it good till now?
Ya how's the battery, I'm also running note 10 pro
@@cormacbcb I am tempted to say Xiaomi did a good job on the battery. I'll give them that. It served me well for 2 years. But there was a bug tgat kept freezing the phone at random times (sometimes once a day, other times it workes weeks without issues) and then, it died suddenly because of water vapors (i suspect).
But overall, if you value your battery life and your phone works fine, i'd say there is no reason to upgrade just yet. I'm also waiting to see what people say about Pixel 8 after one year.
@@karlopasaoa7409 For now, it works nicely. I even got the "circle to search" update.
But i'll agree on the battery life. I don't think it measures up to the Xiaomi i had. It has better camera, more processing power and overall a good response time in all the apps, but i think the battery life is kinda weak compared to other (cheaper) phones.
I'm not yet at the one year mark, so, i can't say more about how fast the battery degrades over time.
1400 nits very hard to see?? Bro older iohone was 600 nits
hello my man bro
4 hours screen on time is really bad. Also the fact that the heats up is also bad and kinda of dealbreaker for me.
i get about 8-10 hours on my pixel 7
Charging the phone twice a day… lol.. my 4 year old sammy s10 is still performing better then that… how about a bigger battery, and some software optimisation
Yeah battery is an issue with this over time
The only issue with Pixel 7 is battery life. Ntg else.
7:32 you missed a chance to be sarcastic here
LMAO!
Are you living in Berlin? Is it Alexander plaz tower? 😅
Asshole is it necessary
Just bought (April 24) a Pixel 7 for $190 ebay.
$190 is a great price
Would you still recommend Pixel 7 over the S23 now?
100%
@@CallMeKJOS How's the S23's battery holding up so far?
@@zong3000 very good.
Lmao. No. Only fanboys would recommend that. The Pixel has overheating issue and is not future proof.
@@robertmusil1107 and why isn't it future proof:?
I just got a pixel 7a and 5 days in and it's absolutely junk. All the great features and if you want to use them then it's going to overheat and kill the battery all the time. I really can't stand having to download a different launcher to get different shaped icons, limited theme options and colors. Three button navigation is wonky only the middle button works back button and stop button not working properly. And it's mostly because the lousy hardware can't handle the software. either way I'm lucky I'm returning it for something else.
Man, if pixel 7 battery itself is bad - then what kind of options do we have in the Android ecosystem?? 😯
Samsung
@@zpl91 - UI is cr@p, their phones are known to heat up , slow processors in their mid-segment phones, no stock Android 👎🏼
@artus198 not really, S23 ultra doesn't heat up.. it has a vapour chamber to dissipate heat.. they perform the same tasks on the ultra and Iphone 15 Pro max and the S23 ultra remained cool..
@@amaananver135 - S23 ultra is out of budget for me ! Let's talk S23 and below that
Video quality is wrost, test front camera in low light
You could get a pixel 7 pro for a good price when the 8 releases.
Exactly
Pixel and camera are synonymous with each other......wow....if not for cameras i won't get the Google pixel...What's this hype about
What do you mean?
@@CallMeKJOS Right? I think this guy's on crack
Pixel 7 vs pixel 8
I gatchu
This dude is over reacting and over dramatic. This phone has really good battery life for it's size. The screen is very visible outdoors.
Battery life is based on usage. I said it gave ME. Not you. Also long periods of time battery degrades and the pixel 7 isn’t an exception
The camera is one of the least favorite features for me. It is unacceptable that I would get better closeup photos without massive distortion around the edges or simply being out of focus on devices from 7 years ago with a single camera. Not acceptable.
If you want happiness, read the Qur’an
Several people reported that they got headaches from Pixel phones. I started to wake up for a bad headache after my boyfriend bought a Pixel phone. We could not figure sometimes what caused it but after searching if this phone can be a problem, I could see many complaints for this. And guys this is not the screen issue as I am not using his phone just being around it… This phone is not safe and now we just want to get rid off it. Save your health and stay away from Pixel phones!

Let me guess... iPhone user? 😂
Is everything safe now? This the first time I've heard a case like this
