Im so sick of larger phones busting out of my pocket or being ridiculously heavy especially holding with one hand. I got the 7a brand new for $340 on Mercari after having a Note 20 Ultra & I absolutely love it.
The 7 has a worse pixel amount when zooming in, it is more smudgy than the 7a. But in the other hand less noise in night shots. As a fotographer, hard choice. I want the quality of the 7a in daylight and the nightshots of the 7 :/
I honestly don't know much about phones. Right now I have the OnePlus 8 and every since the update a week ago it has totally killed the battery and slowed the phone down. I was looking at getting the Pixel 7 and they were on sale for $499 but then I looked today and they are $599 while the 7A is $449. Will I noticed that much of a difference? I was originally going to get the 7 because of the $50 price difference
How is the 7a any noticably smaller than the 7 to feel nicer in the hand? It's literally 0.3mm less wide and 0.3 thicker than the regular 7. The small difference in hight shouldn't really change a thing while holding it either.
Not sure how to explain it. I guess the weight difference makes a big difference. I can tell when I used both of these side by side when I took these two phones out to take photos. 7a felt more comfortable.
The regular 7 is selling for 400 bucks on the used market rt now. 100 bucks cheaper than the 7a and it has a bigger screen and glass back, etc. Seems like a no brainer. Especially if you get a used 7 that's in mint condition.
I love pixels, but my eyes struggle with their low display brightness - all models ( manual brightness) its my eyes and how they work with oled displays. My eyes are fine though, just how they work with oled. My eyes need at least 700 nits manual brightness
NEVER buy a phone at launch. You will always be dealing with initial issues requiring patches or mid-cycle updates. Marketing knows what motivates customers and there will never be the best phone as replacement is in development as the latest enters the marketplace. Amazon just ran a 2-day Prime deal where the new Pixel 7a was offered for $399. There is no Pixel 7 on offer from Google. Is the Google Pixel 8 worth $300 more in 2023 (4 months after this review)? I say no way unless you are wealthy, have no debts, and have funded your retirement. Spend your money wisely.
What use to th average consumer is video in 4k 60fps? If you upload it to social media it will be compressed into oblivion, if you watch it back on the phone it's in 1080p. Not many people are transferring video to a pc or TV with 4k ability.
What’s your opinion on the OnePlus11? And this? And iPhone 14 pro? I’m stuck on the Pro but I been wanting to go back To Android…. Tough Decisions haha
OnePlus is shit. I bought a OnePlus 9 pro 2 years ago and it still has a lot of bugs. I don't know what they are doing there. After the OnePlus 8 pro the company went wrong
I got the 7a since the 8 is coming in a few months I thought I'd pocket the change, also considering the 7a & 7 seem to be pretty much the same phone with very slight differences
@@mickymac432 Absolutely atrocious do your life a favor and don't even think about getting it. Absolute garbage for $500, if you can pick one up for $300 MAYBE, but otherwise look elsewhere, better off with a used or older galaxy or even a cheap Chinese phone is better.
Honestly… Pixel 6a is VERY cheap. But it has its drawbacks like 60Hz and first gen tensor chip. But Pixel 7 if you can find it for a good price. It’s a great phone for less than $500

It's to enable wireless charging without resorting to "cheap" plastic

Tired of large phones. Got the 7a even though its the same price as 7
Is it me or.....did the pixel 7a pics look clearer than the 7 in this video?
No
Yes 🥂
They r! Watch Marquess Brownlee blind picture ELO ratings
Did you mix up the labels on the video cause the 7a pics look better than the 7. Not sure why everyone keeps saying otherwise

I've just ordered a 7 because you can get it for pretty much the same price as a 7a
How?
I would like the 7 but like the colour of 7a .

Not a fan of the glass back and I don't buy used, but I agree if these fit the needs of someone.
I just bought a bread new unsealed pixel 7. In green for $450 is coming tomorrow in excited

Yes wait will be better
Lmao 😂 I’ve been saying the same thing for the past 4 years now

The Pixel 7 and 7a are now the same price on the Canadian Google Store for $599 for 128GB

What Google did not tell us?
No cinematic blur, no 4k60 for UW/front facing camera just to name a couple
Cinematic blur on pixel is useless ATM to be honest which is disappointing since it's a software thing and apple seem to do well
