    This video is not a tutorial. The recipe used is proprietary to my business, but you can find many amazing recipes shared by Bramble Berry, Lovin' Soap, and the Nerdy Farmwife. Almost all of my soapmaking videos last year did have a test recipe. I have also shared a tallow recipe this year in the tallow soapmaking videos.

    I am so grateful to have a yard for me to be able to make my own fragrances. in addition to the honey, there is nothing better than the original honey. I have learned this on my own and through trial and error. But I learned that everyone has their own style and yes, I like yours.

    I love farm fresh milk but it’s so expensive. Even after getting back the 3$ glass deposit it’s still almost 6$ for half a gallon. But once in awhile I justify it since I only use milk in coffee.

    • @moriversoap

    • @keekeejenkins6162
      @keekeejenkins6162 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I sell milk for $7/gallon bc I want it to be affordable, people deserve real food. It's still more expensive than mass produced but that's all subsidized by the gov so impossible to compete with. Surely by design.

    I am a retired Veteran and I started to make some soap for my family and friends, I really like the way you made this milk soap, I am wondering what temp do you recommended I make milk soap at. I have seen some videos saying to keep oils and milk at a lower temp. Thank you, Daniel D

    • @moriversoap
      @moriversoap  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello Daniel. Thank you for your service! I soap at room temperature so that's typically between 65-75 depending on the time of year. I do still gel the milk soaps but since I don't use full milk, they tend to stay creamy instead of being a tan color.

    • @moriversoap
      @moriversoap  17 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Thank you! I do use the US version of measuring in ounces for soap and scrubs. The only thing I really use grams for is bath bombs and I don't even know why. Ha! I didn't learn the metric system in school so I feel most comfortable with ounces most of the time.

    Hi Holly! A small question since I always see your bars perfect when you unmould and cut them. How long do you wait to unmould and cut them and how much sodium lactate do you put ppo? Thank you so much 🤩

    • @moriversoap
      @moriversoap  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Thank you! Typically, I don't cut my soap for 4-5 days. That's only a scheduling situation because it takes preparation on my part to film the videos (also to want to actually get the splitter down, lol). I often unmold and put the slab on a tray for a few days. The slabs are also so heavy that even hard soaps are easy to dent right away. The SL I use has a recommended usage rate of 1-4%. I tend to use 3-4%.
