This episode isn't from the 1950s, it's from 1966. As a teenager in the 1970s, I started attending tapings of T or C at Metromedia Square in Hollywood. It was taped on the same stage as "Concentration," hosted by the late Jack Narz. Metromedia Square later became Fox Television Center. The complex has since been demolished and a public high school has taken it's place, but the great memories of attending Truth or Consequences remain. Mr. Barker, who I had the pleasure of interviewing on the radio in 1999, will turn 100 on December 12th of this year!

Did you ever try to be picked as a contestant when you attended?

@@SyncopateTheShot While I enjoyed watching T or C, I never had the urge to be a contestant on the show. But, in the years since, I've been a contestant on five different game shows.

Wow! I've probably seen you. I've only been on one.

@@SyncopateTheShot Three of the five I've been on are uploaded to my TH-cam channel. As for the other two, I couldn't upload Weakest Link due to a copyright issue, and the most recent show I can't discuss yet because I just taped it three days ago and I'm under an NDA until it airs in September.

Classic Concentration! Alex was the coolest host. I will be sure to watch. Hopefully you won on your most recent game show adventure even though understandably you can’t talk about it yet.

There was color tv in the 50s, but many of the surviving broadcasts exist only in black and white.

Oh, man, I somehow missed that he had passed away. I remember him selling Belair cigarettes but never lighting one.

This would have been in the sixties, there was no color tv in the fifties.

There were color transmissions but nearly all were recorded in black and white

I've seen this before. At least the color has been adjusted here. :)

Even back in 1966, Bob Barker did audience entrances. No wonder why Bob wanted to do audience entrances on The Price Is Right.

Looking for the episode with some Navy sailors as contestants. My Dad was one of them, and they had to pay the consequence! Been looking for this video for a very long time. He was stationed in San Diego. He was on the USS Phillipine Sea.

Can you imagine if they had the Barker Box Game on The Price is Right after Truth or Concequences ended? The Surprise would've had an air horn sound.

In color, more like 1965 or later.
