*Students* : How will we be informed of the date time and venue of our exams? You'll issue us with a personalised timetable, right?
*University* : No. There will be no personalised timetables.
*Students* : Oh. So you'll just send us the information concerning each exam by email, right?
*University* : No. You have to look up this information yourself in an online database using the course code as the search term.
*Students* : Oh, OK. But you'll at least let us know by email once the exam details have been published, to encourage us to look them up? Right?
*University* : No. You just have to keep periodically checking the database until they appear. We don't even know how far in advance of the actual exam they'll be published.
*Students* : What? OK, but it says that exam details can change at the last minute, including the time and venue. Surely _then_ , you'll inform us directly, right? Even if we then still have to re-check the database ourselves to find the updated details. Right? _Right_ ?
    *University* : *NO* .
*University* : Oh, and should you miss the exam for any reason, even if that reason is our own mind-boggling level of incompetence, we will take no responsibility whatsoever, and will make you pay a hefty resit fee. Enjoy!
