    Hello Yulia. I recently discovered your channel and have been binge-watching your videos these couple of days. This is by far my favorite one specially because of the third piece of advise on choosing a program related to your previous education and your personal experience generously shared at the tail end. I now have a clear idea of what I will be studying in Canada. Thank you !

    Points covered in the Video:
    ESL Programs < 6 months - No PGWP; Pathway Programs are better in comparison.
    Programs not related to your past education.
    Programs with Limited Job Opportunities.
    Training Program AKA Apprenticeship.
    Check your School is DLI.
    Edit: This is from February 2024.
    With the current changes to the Immigration rules.
    1. Do not join Public Private Partnership Institutes, as they are not eligible for PGWP going forward from September 1st 2024.
    2. Spousal Visa is offered only for students who are enrolled in a Master's Degree or PhD programs, not Post Graduate Diploma nor Ontario Graduate Certificate Courses.

      These universities are now asking Indian students to come and attend and not to worry about issues between India & Canada. But these universities have failed to understand that it's not diplomatic relations which is troubling Indian students, it's actually Canadian govt who is harbouring terrorists which worries, who knows when these terrorists strike 1-2 students in the name of free speech. Once life is gone what to study and where to study! Universities really need to put pressure on Canada to stop supporting terrorism! What has happened to Canada!

      Hi, I do not want to discourage you from taking that course if that is your passion and you have a prior degree and experience in supply chain management you will excel in that course and have an excellent impression on your resume and transcript. There is high competition in the job market now in Canada due to the influx of international students (20-50 years old studying just to have the coveted PR) and immigrants. In my case, I studied for the same Bachelor's degree that I graduated from my home country. As expected, I graduated with honors here in Canada because it is just a review of all that I studied before. During my internship, I received great offers from big companies even in the United States and Europe. But my priority is to get my PR so I stayed here in Canada. Still planning to move to the United States. Good luck and wishing you all the best in your journey.

    About the colleges that dont offer the PGWP, we have to keep in mind that there are countries where not many people can get a loan (even less pay the full price at once) to pay those tuitions of public colleges/universities that can even be 20,000 dollars a year (plus demonstrate 10,000 of economic solvency). Many countries have average salaries that can even go below 100 USD per month.
    When you choose a co op program you can have the chance to save at least a good part of the tuition if you're dedicated and organized, that's what most people do tbh. As I was saying from most of the countries ppl want to come here it's a dream to even be able to earn a thousand dollars a month.

    Hi Yulia. My son already got admission for Applied Physics at Uwinnipeg. His actual desire is to do something in the form of Mechatronics or Electromechanical Engineering but Applied Physics is the closest Uwinnipeg has. We chose Uwinnipeg because his brother studies there and because he could start in Spring. But the admission came late so he would have to plan for fall. Because of this we have applied for 2 year diploma course at a college as a pathway to a degree or advance diploma. My concern is whether getting a visa for a degree program in Applied Physics in Manitoba would not be easier than getting it for an Ontario diploma. Also can the presence of his brother in Manitoba affect the chances of his visa approval negativelv

      If you study in geology, the best province is Alberta. Please note that many geologists became unemployed when oil prices were down. If you study a 2-yr college diploma, you are a geological or geophysical technologist. If you study a 4-yr bachelor degree, you are a geologist. In Alberta, technologists are licensed with ASET (Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta). Geoscientists are licensed with APEGA (Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta). There is a significant salary difference between a technologist and a geologist.

    • @TD-qj1rn
      @TD-qj1rn 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Like others said, in Alberta, you have to be an APEGA member to work as an engineer/geologist. Without Canadian degree, you MIGHT get a technologist job. But 30% of office towers in Calgary have been sitting empty for many years now. With governments crackdown on fossil fuels, prospects in Alberta look grim for now...

    • @limatglobaltemp7181
      @limatglobaltemp7181 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Are you sure don't mean EAP (English for Academic Programs). EAP is not what you do before you get to Canada. It is what you do in that same college before you start the actual program. You don't require EAP if you have the required bands in IELTS. It is more of a remedial English program to bridge the gap or deficiency in your IELTS. Also if you are from a country that English Language proficiency is exempted but your grade in English in your high school examination is below the required level, you could also be advised to do EAP or you may be givenv admission for your program along with EAP.

      First of all, we indian student must understand that whatever we have learned from Indian schools and universities are just nothing but a dustbin which is full of garbage, we have passed an exams which just give marks and percentage but not a real skill, Indian students life circles around indian institutes to gather a bunch of certificate and to become government servant and want to sit in a chair and enjoy the salary hikes under Modi regime . Our degrees are useless for canda because they have different system ( LMO ) to get a job and that system is not corrupted , Canadian LMO has a different codes for different jobs, particular job for particular person and that person must have particular education and all the criteria must be met with the particular job code skills , what happens in india is , the Indian education system will create an elephant, once the elephant completes its education, the indian government will ask the elephant that he should also possess a skill of a monkey to jump from one tree to another, now the elephant feels betrayed from his own education system, now on the top of that when the same elephant goes for a job in private company, the manager asks him that does he possess the skill of leopard to run fast ! now the elephant frustrates and resolves to leave the forest , thinking that all the government and private institutes behave like a circus to him are fake , then the elephant applies for canadian visa, but the problem arises , when he fills the form to get LMO ( local market opinion letter ) he does not know which kind of animal he has become, whether he is elephant or monkey or a leopard ?
      My advise is to stop gathering certificate, try to possess the real skill which is not in the fill in the blanks of our school question paper, become self reliant and start to make small events and then it will take you to bigger one, when you earn money to afford to and fro ticket of canada , go there and find the opportunities . if you will fall into the hands of indian via offices, 99.99 percent of them will give you false hope because millions of people giving money to get into canada and these visa consultancies are getting richer and richer without going in canada. so without wasting time just sharp your skill everyday in whatever work you love to do

    Does it make sense (or is it acceptable) changing majors if I am a Biologist and want a MSc in dietetics? (I already hold a Masters in Environmental Education, but want to become a dietitian).

    Hello, thanks for the information. Now in my own case, l had a bachelor in English in 2004. That is a very long time. But now, l am into agriculture because the world cannot do without agriculture or farming. Since l am into farming now and l need to have some basic and practical knowledge in the area l am interested to add to my farming business like fishery and dairy farming, can't l change my field of studies to advance and expound my business? I am sure Canadian immigration or visa officers should understand that l do not need to study a course related to English language because English language is not relevant to my present need. Please can you advice me on this. Thanks very much.

    Lets say you were admitted in one of the Canadian colleges and also paid for tuition deposit as instructed by the school management, you also have $11,000CAD as proof of funds in your bank statement to present before the IRCC together with good documents. Can you have little hope of getting the visa approval considering that you did not have all your tuition intact?
