Hmmm.... Interesting... NES has ALWAYS focused on the fun more than the fantastic graphics. And I hope they never change that.
From 1983 until 2006, Nintendo's home consoles always had the most powerful graphics hardware available.
The GameCube was the first that wasn't clearly more powerful than all other consoles at launch, but it was at least as powerful as the PS2 and definitely more powerful than the Dreamcast.
Even the Wii U was the most powerful console in the world when it launched, but only until the PS4 came out.
@@customsongmaker I'd imagine you are right. But as a kid myself back in the day, we never bought it because of the graphics. We bought it because of the fun game play! Pretty graphics draw people in, but it's the fun that keeps them there.
Of course it will be compatible with the Switch digital products. That's not even a question. The real question is: Will it be compatible with the Switch CARTRIDGES?
3:18 ...that's code for don't expect it to be powerful enough for emulation nor mod/hack susceptible/exploitable for a LONG time
They kinda have to include backwards compatibility this time. More people bought digital this Gen than ever before . They wouldn't get away with not letting people transfer their purchases over a third time
"Get away with"? What would happen?
And what's the third time? All Wii downloads were transferable to Wii U.
So the first time was when a few Wii U owners weren't able to transfer their games to Switch. But only 8 million people bought Mario Kart 8 for Wii U, and 60 million people bought it for Switch. So there wasn't much to "get away with".

@@Antronix3 the Switch has sold 10 times as many consoles as the Wii U, which is more people. You couldn't figure that out? You said fewer people would buy if they couldn't transfer their games, but they bought more instead.
The Wii U allowed game transfers from Wii, but it sold 100 million fewer consoles than the Wii or the Switch. The only time Nintendo offered game transfers, it was their worst selling home console of all time. So you are completely wrong.
And did you ever figure out what you were talking about when you said "not letting people transfer their purchases a third time"? What was the second time? You're the one who said it, but you couldn't answer.
@@customsongmaker so I guess it makes more sense to not allow backwards compatibility when 120 mil buy your console then huh. Makes perfect business sense....
I forgot that they allowed transfer on Wii u, but what I'm really talking about is abandoning all connections from previous consoles. Abandoning the network and rebuilding a new network. Even though they allowed transfers, in the end they still cut the servers and can't access your purchases anymore.

thats fine if its not backwards compatible tho nintendo loses all respect and will be treated like a gucci platform that i will have no problem pirating see it be one thing if they were a consumer product you know like for kids like they claim to be for vs a premium product only for the top 1%

As they should with all the money I’ve blown on games for switch
