After last weeks episode, with déjà vu from our Atlantic crossing with high gusts and crashing waves we find ourselves in an ocean that's totally becalmed. We can see further than we have ever seen before, and without any waves disrupting our view of the horizon, we get a tingeing feeling of just how big and vast the ocean really is.

Welcome aboard our floating home Linnea to join us on our adventures!
We are Emmy and Marcus, a Swedish couple who has decided to leave our home and set sail out into the world with our boat Linnea. After a season in the Caribbean, we decided to leave Linnea in Trinidad and fly back to Sweden for the hurricane season. This allowed us to get an extra year of sailing and reach even more beautiful destinations for our second season of cruising. For now the goal is Greenland and back home to Sweden, via the Caribbean, BVIs, Bahamas, US east coast, and Canada. But who really knows how far our dreams might take us?

Well, we do have an Iridium unit to download weather when we are offshore.. But the cost for starting it up (plus the fact that you need to pay for at least 2 months) is ridiculously high, so for 5 days it seemed simply not worth it.. We will start it up when we cross to Greenland and Iceland though :)

On beaches, we are often forced to wear swimsuits, but on a boat, we can do what we want, and as far as I'm concerned I would certainly not wear any swimsuit!

Swimming off the boat at the middle of the ocean is absolutely best done without swimsuit!
