Is that a Sport 3? I actually couldn't see the shadow of a king post though, so I guess not. And Wolfi's? Swift? I'm only H2, so forgive my naivety. I suppose that trip would not be possible in less than a topless.
I was flying a Moyes RX 3.5 and Wolfi was flying an Aeros Combat (GT I think). It would of been possible on a king posted glider yes definitely! Some of the glides might of been shorted but the conditions would of allowed for it
@@petehelliwell Good to know. Probably not my Sport 2 175, but I'll move up to a Sport 3 hopefully in the next year or so. I need to get my confidence to go XC. I hang out near the LZ too much. LOL Highest flight was 5200 ft AGL. 6400 MSL. In my Falcon 2 225. I only had on a t shirt and no gloves. Got too cold and had to come down to warm up. Went back to the thermal and it was gone. LOL

Thanks for the kind words. I’m glad you are enjoying them. The camera mount I use is a Flytec vario mount slightly modified to have a camera thread on the end instead of the vario mount.

Cheers! I think we flew for around 3.5 hours. I have a 256g sd card that is good for 5 hours nonstop. I also use an external battery and mic. The camera is the insta360 one x2.
@@petehelliwell do you keep all that raw footage or edit and dump? I already thought I had too much flight data, and I'm well under 2tb with an old gopro... Thats a bunch of hard drives to store 360 videos!
Very well spotted sir! It’s actually a temporary/permanent fix. The angle of dangle rope normally attaches half way up the riser, I actually removed it from here to replace the old worn rope but unfortunately re attaching the new rope to the same place didn’t hold too long. I could of put more stitches in it i guess but I wasn’t too keen on butchering the actual structural part of the riser with a thousand stitches. The rope now attaches to the carabiner. It functions totally the same to be honest, just as easy to get head up for landing with the same angles been achieved
