A bit of a niche topic this week - I've been prioritizing videos I know I can get done relatively easily before Christmas, since I'll be away for a few weeks. Let me know your favourite cutscenes down below ^^
I know many people will probably say something along the lines of Ludwig or Gael or Abyss Watchers or Gherman but honestly nothing gets me more than in the 2 phase cut scene where Father Ariandel realizes the blood that was spilled was not of the players but Sister Friede's and he goes in a rampage leaving us with the ending shot of both of them standing up right in a room of fire as Ariandel lets out a harsh screech. simply amazing
@@benro6564 Funny you say that lol my first playthrough when it had that couple seconds when the fire was fading, I thought the game was glitching or something so i hit R1 and hit the firekeeper unintentionally and next thing I know im stomping on her head lol
Best DS3 cutscene is 100% the second phase Sister Friede cutscene, it’s so amazing and sad that you can see how much friede means to Father Ariendel. one of the best storytelling cutscenes imo
I would agree but her transition into phase three overshadows it for me, and that's always my takeaway moment from the fight and it's not even a cutscene.
My favorite cutscene in all of soulsborne is definitely Morgott’s intro, the reveal of him ruling Leyndell, how he says the names of all the other demigods while looking over their thrones, when he breaks the wooden exterior of his sword to reveal the blade, and finally that incredible dialogue. “Have it writ upon thy meager grave, felled by king Morgott, last of all kings”
0:47 The idea of ranking the opening cinematics gave me the tangentially related idea of ranking the trailers! There’s one particular Dark Souls 2 trailer that has the same realistic visual style as its opening, and it’s like looking into a parallel universe where Dark Souls is a set of movies instead of games.
Great list! Just wanna add from DS2, Nashandra's entrance is amazing as this is I think the only time in Fromsoft games, where it looks like you are the boss behind the fog, and she enters to challenge you. However, another cutscene that stands as an honorable mention for me, is Last Giant. He looks at you, and is shocked and furious, getting his body up from the rubble and charging straight at you. Alone, this cutscene is pretty cool with how it dynamically shifts into the fight. However, close to the endgame, it is revealed as you go through the memories, that you were the one who fought and defeated the Giant Lord - who is now seen here, in ruin, and he recognizes you, immediately wanting to take revenge.
My personal favorite cutscene in Elden Ring is Jerren's introduction of Radahn. The festival in general has an incredible ambiance and gravity (pun intended) to it and watching Radahn, supposedly the strongest demi-god of the Shattering, writhe around and eat corpses like an animal, hits hard and only serves to further the themes of ER.
My Turn Demon Souls - The Penetrator (Honorable Mention: Falling into the Nexus) Dark Souls - Sif recognizes you (Honorable Mention: shooting down Kalameet) Dark Souls 2 - The Pursuers arrival (Honorable Mention: Nashandra’s reveal) Dark Souls 3 - Blood of the Dark Soul (Honorable Mention: Father Ariandel revives Elfriede) Bloodborne: Moonlight Greatsword (Honorable Mention: The Moon Presence arrives) Sekiro: Genichiro defeats Wolf (Honorable Mention: The divine Dragon arrives) Elden Ring - Goddess of Rot (Honorable Mention: Placidusax arena) ~ Bonus Round ~ Lies of P - Arm of God (Honorable Mention: destroying the Nameless Puppet Heart)
My favorites DeS: Haven't played DS1: Artorias intro because him throwing a corpse at you is funnier than it probably shouldn't be Ds2: Pursuer intro (Forest of Fallen Giants) There are not many intro cutscenes to bosses in ds2, and I think this is the best one because it sets up how it can appear anywhere. It dropping down from a bird is super cool as well. BB: Ludwig Phase 2 transition. This is such an obvious pick that i will say my runner up, which is probably "tonight, Gehrman joins the hunt" Ds3: End of Fire. The best part is technically not a cutscene, but hearing the firekeeper's few parting words as the screen fades to black is such a hard-hitting ending ER: Hoarah Loux.I was choosing between this and Godrick or Rykard, but no cutscene made me lose my shit more than Godfrey killing that lion thing and becoming a wrestler.
For me Elden Ring cutscenes are just the best. Even tho I love Godrick bare witness and Rykard togethaa, I just get goosebumps everytime I see Radagon introduction. The music when hes holding the hammer as the rune inside him gets enlightened is just awesome
The giant braided rope man in Sekiro is one of my favourite moments in all of Soulsborne. Because after it was over, I was left thinking "... did a 200 foot tall man made out of rope just spawn in out of nowhere, pick me up, walk me to the spirit realm, then dab face first into the side of a mountain?"
Bloodborne my fave is defo either the reveal of the moon presence hanging against that blood moon, descending without any semblance of humanity, or the birth of the Orphan of Kos. There’s something so eerie about seeing this emaciated, rapidly aging husk of a being emerge from its dead mother’s corpse, sobbing in the rain, it probably helps that Kos’ arena is my fave in the series though
Maybe i'm misshearing this... But it sounds to me like you are saying commits sedoku/sudoku instead of sepukku at the genichiro cutscene. But hey Genichiro sitting down and solving numeric puzzles once he realizes he cant win sounds fun aswell
Fun video. For me it’s Demon Souls - Penetrator intro DS1 - Anor Londo intro DS2 - Ship pulling up in the wharf BB - Lady Maria intro DS3 - Twin Princes intro AND midnight! Sekiro - Genichiro transition to Way of Tamoe Elden Ring - Setting the Erdtree on fire
Tbh, I think the best cutscene in Elden Ring is the frenzied flame ending! Edit: It just a super duper fucked up ending, with no dialogue at all except for Melina’s vow to kill you.
DeS: False King Allant. The overlook over all of Boletarian Palace, the level you've struggled through since the beginning of the game, is just so good. Aaaand the remake covers it all in white fog. I'm definitely not spiteful, who told you that? DS1: Gough shooting down Kalameet, we all know it. Sekiro: Shura ending. There are way too many to choose from, but the divine child screaming in desperation that his protector has turned into a demon, Owl's maniacal speech turning into the last words he would speak, the chilling implications of Sekiro having both mortal blades, and the harrowing narration at the end--it all works for me. Elden Ring: Morgott's intro. This is the cutscene that comes to mind when I think "From Software makes amazing cutscenes"
My favourite of the bloodborne cutscenes is the one reborn intro. Hit me like a truck on my first playthrough, as at the time I had no idea the game was cosmic horror.
Your verbage throughout this video was excellent😂. My fav cutscene is when malenia goes into her second phase, as thats when you get that “oh shit im dead” feeling as she is no longer messing around and is actively bloodthirsty at this point.
My favorite from elden ring is gpdrick's phase transition cutscene purely because the music has no right to go so damn hard in the fight with the biggest pushover in the entire game
Great ranking, couldn't agree more on DeS' ranking. My favourite cutscene ever in soulsborne though has to be the moon presence's reveal, the sheer awe of a god descening from the heavens, lighted by a blood moon is just breathtaking. Very close second on the elden beast transition for similar reasons
Rykard is iconic, there's no debate there, but my favorite midfight cutscene in Elden Ring is Maliketh. I played through blind my first go around, so I had no idea that the mysterious beast I was helping in Dragonbarrow was going to turn out to be Dog God flipping around like an anime villain using the very concept of death as his weapon. That transition is burned into my memory forever.
I have to agree with your Bloodborne pick. When you hit the music just right, it gives chills. Same with Radagon. Hearing the ttransition in the music while he holds up his mace is just so incredibly well done. As for demon's souls, I surprisingly loved the scene with Maiden Astraea. Seeing Garl Vinland come oout from a body of corpses was super badass and unexpected. The anticlimactic boss fiight was also anticlimactic, but I loved the intro scene.
For elden ring, my favorite is easily melina burning the erdtree. There's so much depth to it. Her finally reaching her goal, helping you reach yours, thr imagery of the erdtree beginning to burn, and the pure cinematic value it carries. It's beautiful.
Great list as ever Billy. ,My noms: Demon's Souls - Maiden Astraea. Dat music. Garl standing up. "May you be unharmed." Dark Souls - agreed Dark Souls 2 - The Last Giant, for the ballsiness of putting a 'reveal' before you know its a reveal Bloodborne - It has to be Gehrman for me, for the lines alone Dark Souls 3 - Sister Friede's opening cutscene is pure badassery Sekiro - agreed Elden Ring - I think Fire Giant's second phase works on a number of levels
i just beat sekiro and oh man it was fun(maybe going for platinum) but yea man that last scene with genichiro and isshin is so good, and for me my favorite scene for elden ring is easily the frenzied flame ending the entire thing is amazing you having a head of frenzy flame the burning image with leyndel burning to ashes and melina literally saying "wherever you go I will hunt u down and kill you" is so awesome and i always go for frenzied flame(and also getting good and the sewer skip and platforming), second place is probably melania phase 2 since you know she is going to kill you in an instant and the design is awesome with butterfly's in her hair and scarlet aeonia just perfection
Saw another comment saying it but yea I agree with that person, the Nameless King cutscene is absolutely my favourite, as it’s one of the only 2 (I think) mid-boss cutscenes that play in the base game, and damnnnn like I really feel both the heartbreak of what the Nameless King has to do to his beloved drake, and then fear as he turns around covered in lightning. There’s the obvious Ornstein reference, but it also really shows off the regal power of the Nameless King, and really makes him feel like a character with genuine emotions than just a boss who went a bit wacko mode. When most of the bosses are in a weakened state or are losing their own sanity in the majority of the souls games up to this point, seeing a boss like Nameless King, and the cutscene, it’s a breath of fresh stormy air. Bloodborne, as said, has too many good cutscenes to choose, and yea, Ludwig’s mid-cutscene ‘guiding moonlight’ is the best cutscene, along with Gehrman’s and Orphan of Kos’s too. Oh and there’s Godrick. Like what the fuck do I need to say. Like seriously, what the actual fuck do I need to say. Look at him. I am sure as hell bearing witness to that. Fucking 10/10.
Ds1: Ornsteins second phase Ds2: Nashandras entrance after the thron watchers Bb: ending without fighting Gherman Ds3: Lorian and lothrics second Phase Sekiro: isshin shura ending entrance Elden ring: Godricks second Phase
That's a solid list of choices. I was torn between Penetrator and False King Allant for DeS honestly, but the subversion of expectations is really cool. DS2's Last Giant cutscene hits me different with the context of a previous playthrough. DS3, the wedding is a really good cutscene, and the near literal mangling of the idea of marriage was striking. Also not me realizing now that Anri is in the Lord of Hollows ending cutscene x_x Isshin just sweeps Sekiro cutscenes for me, the man is a fucking chad. I think for ER, my favorite is Maliketh because, my idiot ass didn't read item descriptions, so I was baffled that this guy dressed in rags was actually ER's version of the grim reaper, wielding the very concept of death as a weapon. It goes so hard. Placidusax comes close with that gorgeous arena, and the overall atmosphere of a dragon in slumber, awaiting the return of something that will never come. Rykard's is so sick though(literally too, at that), and I absolutely adore it, the campy voice line just adds to it.
My favourites : Demon's Souls : the only Soulsborne game I never played to, but I love the Penetrator cutscene and the Storm King one. DS1 : Sif alternate cutscene... DS2 : The Rotten cutscene, I love this one BB : "Fear the Old Blood" after beating Amelia DS3 : Siegward vs Yhorm ER : Placidusax epic presentation
Aaaaaagh I gotta argue DS3, and this time just from an emotional standpoint. Siegward and Yhorm. I'm not one to pick up on subtext, and even I gathered what was going on. But I just thought Siegward would get the White Phantom treatment...but no. Onionbro walks in through the fog gate behind you, Storm Ruler out and ready, here to make good on his promise *with you* because that's what he's always been. There. After a while your allies start to become more present in White Phantoms than being NPCs, but Siegward's always been there along with your journey. His progress has been tied to yours all along. Maybe that was all a ramble but I hope you get what I mean: it's a hella emotional punch for your ultimate goal to so directly intersect with an NPC's ultimate goal that they're there in the flesh rather than as a phantom, and even more when it's someone you've come to enjoy seeing.
My favorite cutscene is either lady maria or gehrman from bloodborne. For dark souls 3 I really like Friede’s cutscene it gives you the feeling that you stepped on something you will regret. I agree with sekiro, Isshin is a perfect cutscene for me. For Dark souls 2 I also agree. And for the rest I feel like elden ring’s best is melania’s, I find it really good cutscene or it is radagon. Good list respect for your opinion.
I know you meant seppuku and changed it for what might be youtube language but I'm now thinking about what if an enemy just stopped fighting, pulled out a newspaper or whatever and started solving a sudoku puzzle
DeS: Flamelurker reveal is just insane DS1: yeah it's deffo the Kalameet one DS2: I have a real soft spot for the last giant recognising you from the past Bloodborne: It has to be Ludwig but the 2nd place medal is an interesting discussion, for me it's maybe Gehrman DS3: Our favourite Onion boy walking into Yhorms boss room behind you is goated for me Sekiro: Ishiin after you kill Emma is arguably even more badass Elden Ring: nothing gives me chills like Godfrey's intro. Upon thy name as Godfrey, the FIRST, ELDEN LORD
I agree nashandra was a good boss fight for a final fight, but man I hate her due to no build up time for her as a final boss. Love the Chanel Billy. Happy I’ve been subscribed keep up the good work!
only reason i checked if i was subbed (i already was but forgot lol) was because of "Feel" playing, it's hands down the best and most memorable record in Lies of P imo
DeS: haven’t played. DS: never got a version with the dlc, so Ornstein and Smough’s opening. DS2: Old Iron King. Bb: Laurence’s opening cutscene, really imposing. DS3: Gael’s opening boss cutscene, if only because of the wind physics on the Abyss Watcher cape. Sekiro: the post Genichiro boss cutscene. Took me 26 attempts to beat him and seeing him get back up was incredibly demoralising. All I could was “oh god” over and over. ER: Malenia’s opening cutscene. Always sucks me in and I forget about her immediately going in for the kill.
Demon’s souls: does jntro count? It’s so atmospheric! If not, cutscene where Slayer arrives to Nexus Dark Souls 1: Kalameet falling Dark Souls 2: Pursuer introduction Bloodborne: fear the old blood, Ludwig or Gehrman Dark Souls 3: Abyss Watchers Sekiro: Purification ending. If does not count, Divine Dragon or Genichiro, way of Tomoe reveal Elden Ring: Falling Stars after Radahn fight.
My thoughts on each pick Demons Souls: “you know the boss will be good if he throws a body he just skewered at you” Dark Souls: the fact that Kalameet can still kick you up and down the street after taking that shot shows what a beast he truly is Dark Souls 2: “oh, thank God, the game’s almost over!” 😂 Bloodborne: great cutscene, fun boss, and the best boss track in the game, if not the whole series DS3: Nothing says true love like stabbing her in the face! Sekiro: “I’ve got a bad feeling about this” Elden Ri g: “TOGETHAAA” 🐍
Cool list, but I disagree with most of them. So here's my choices: DeS: gotta agree with the penetrator cutscene Ds: once again I agree, Gough shooting KALAMEET. But the artorias cutscene is my runner up Ds2: the duke's dear freja cutscene is pretty damn awesome BB: my absolute favourite cutscene in the series, vicar Amelia's transformation. So gruesome and haunting Ds3: gotta go with slave knight gael first cutscene, his voice actor nailed it Sekiro: idk, the one where owl throws the tiny things at Emma is pretty cool Er: the destined death cutscene is really awesome
My fan theory is Anri is gender fluid. Sometimes Anri uses she/her pronouns and sometimes Anri uses he/him pronouns, how else does he present masc is one playthrough and then present femme in another.
A bit of a niche topic this week - I've been prioritizing videos I know I can get done relatively easily before Christmas, since I'll be away for a few weeks. Let me know your favourite cutscenes down below ^^
Sword Saint and maliketh the black blade's cutscenes were the best imo.
Can you do ranking friendly npc’s ranked from worst to best please. If you don’t wanna that is okay:)
My favorite ds3 "cutscene" is actually the end of fire, even though the fade to black is my favorite part and you can still move
@@benro6564 Funny you say that lol my first playthrough when it had that couple seconds when the fire was fading, I thought the game was glitching or something so i hit R1 and hit the firekeeper unintentionally and next thing I know im stomping on her head lol
His scream before he rages is so memorable
That’s why recently it’s become more of a meme than Maria’s, cuz it was so good and such a guttural scream.
Remembering this scene is the reason I searched up “best soulsbourne cutscenes” the way he shakes in anger before the scream is just unreal
@@Folkmoot I agree with you but in terms of cutscenes I think phase 2 is awesome
Lothric and Lorian cutscenes still give me chills
My favorite cutscene in all of soulsborne is definitely Morgott’s intro, the reveal of him ruling Leyndell, how he says the names of all the other demigods while looking over their thrones, when he breaks the wooden exterior of his sword to reveal the blade, and finally that incredible dialogue. “Have it writ upon thy meager grave, felled by king Morgott, last of all kings”
I don't think it revealed him being the ruler as gideon already tells you that, but otherwise I agree

However, close to the endgame, it is revealed as you go through the memories, that you were the one who fought and defeated the Giant Lord - who is now seen here, in ruin, and he recognizes you, immediately wanting to take revenge.
I really love how you make this rankings. Giving credit to all cutscenes worth mentioning and jokes before giving an actual answer.
They went crazy with the ds3 cutscenes. Abyss watchers are the best in teh whole series, the second phase transition.
11:40 bro said sudoku instead of seppukku
My personal favorite cutscene in Elden Ring is Jerren's introduction of Radahn. The festival in general has an incredible ambiance and gravity (pun intended) to it and watching Radahn, supposedly the strongest demi-god of the Shattering, writhe around and eat corpses like an animal, hits hard and only serves to further the themes of ER.
It's a tie between this and Morgott's intro for me.
My Turn
Demon Souls - The Penetrator (Honorable Mention: Falling into the Nexus)
Dark Souls - Sif recognizes you (Honorable Mention: shooting down Kalameet)
Dark Souls 2 - The Pursuers arrival (Honorable Mention: Nashandra’s reveal)
Dark Souls 3 - Blood of the Dark Soul (Honorable Mention: Father Ariandel revives Elfriede)
Bloodborne: Moonlight Greatsword (Honorable Mention: The Moon Presence arrives)
Sekiro: Genichiro defeats Wolf (Honorable Mention: The divine Dragon arrives)
Elden Ring - Goddess of Rot (Honorable Mention: Placidusax arena)
~ Bonus Round ~
Lies of P - Arm of God (Honorable Mention: destroying the Nameless Puppet Heart)
orphan of kos is awesome too and also the afzer fight cut scene with the dialogue
My favorites
DeS: Haven't played
DS1: Artorias intro because him throwing a corpse at you is funnier than it probably shouldn't be
Ds2: Pursuer intro (Forest of Fallen Giants)
There are not many intro cutscenes to bosses in ds2, and I think this is the best one because it sets up how it can appear anywhere. It dropping down from a bird is super cool as well.
BB: Ludwig Phase 2 transition. This is such an obvious pick that i will say my runner up, which is probably "tonight, Gehrman joins the hunt"
Ds3: End of Fire. The best part is technically not a cutscene, but hearing the firekeeper's few parting words as the screen fades to black is such a hard-hitting ending
ER: Hoarah Loux.I was choosing between this and Godrick or Rykard, but no cutscene made me lose my shit more than Godfrey killing that lion thing and becoming a wrestler.
For me Elden Ring cutscenes are just the best. Even tho I love Godrick bare witness and Rykard togethaa, I just get goosebumps everytime I see Radagon introduction. The music when hes holding the hammer as the rune inside him gets enlightened is just awesome
The bridge randomly raising in dramatic fashion in Volcano Manor
The giant braided rope man in Sekiro is one of my favourite moments in all of Soulsborne. Because after it was over, I was left thinking "... did a 200 foot tall man made out of rope just spawn in out of nowhere, pick me up, walk me to the spirit realm, then dab face first into the side of a mountain?"
Great list as always, that DSII got me XD.
On the intro cinematics ranked: I'd love to see it.
Obv the introduction of Anor Londo
I also LOVE the nameless king phase 2 cutscene
Really hard to choose the Elden Ring ones, but my two favorites are Maliketh's transformation and Elden Beast's arrival.
Man, so many cool boss intro!
That ladder model was pretty 🔥 though
Bloodborne my fave is defo either the reveal of the moon presence hanging against that blood moon, descending without any semblance of humanity, or the birth of the Orphan of Kos. There’s something so eerie about seeing this emaciated, rapidly aging husk of a being emerge from its dead mother’s corpse, sobbing in the rain, it probably helps that Kos’ arena is my fave in the series though

But hey Genichiro sitting down and solving numeric puzzles once he realizes he cant win sounds fun aswell
Imagine if instead he committed sepoo-poo. “Behold, the Thunder of Taco Bell!”
Fun video. For me it’s
Demon Souls - Penetrator intro
DS1 - Anor Londo intro
DS2 - Ship pulling up in the wharf
BB - Lady Maria intro
DS3 - Twin Princes intro AND midnight!
Sekiro - Genichiro transition to Way of Tamoe
Elden Ring - Setting the Erdtree on fire
I was waiting to see someone else show love to the erdtree burning cutscene
Tbh, I think the best cutscene in Elden Ring is the frenzied flame ending!
Edit: It just a super duper fucked up ending, with no dialogue at all except for Melina’s vow to kill you.
Every opening cutscene would be cool!
Maybe I'll slot that in to the running this month. I did need one more video idea to work on, so
DeS: False King Allant. The overlook over all of Boletarian Palace, the level you've struggled through since the beginning of the game, is just so good. Aaaand the remake covers it all in white fog. I'm definitely not spiteful, who told you that?

Elden Ring: Morgott's intro. This is the cutscene that comes to mind when I think "From Software makes amazing cutscenes"
Ludwig - obviously
Sister Frieda - fathers A's primal yell
Godrick - Bear witness!
Rykard - TOGETHHAAAA!
Godfrey - become one with my stand!
personally I think the cutscene where melina burns the erdtree is one of my favorite cutscenes ever
My favourite of the bloodborne cutscenes is the one reborn intro. Hit me like a truck on my first playthrough, as at the time I had no idea the game was cosmic horror.
Can't believe Genichiro committed sudoku 🙀
Couldn't figure out where to put the 6 :
I really like the one where the boss dramatically collapses to the ground, but then gets up again with even greater strength
Sekiro for me is a close tie between Shura ending and the Isshin revival, both are extremely good but the Shura ending has a cooler vibe to it
My favorite cutscene in elden ring is Radagon intro, seeing him lift that hammer as he turn at you with the music kicking in. Just beautiful
Never thought I’d see Dark Souls & RPDR mixed together, but here we are
You should check out my Drag Souls video from last month ;D
Your verbage throughout this video was excellent😂. My fav cutscene is when malenia goes into her second phase, as thats when you get that “oh shit im dead” feeling as she is no longer messing around and is actively bloodthirsty at this point.
So many good ones but to me nothing holds a candle to
"Tonight, Gehrman joins the hunt."
Not even an honorable mention of Fire Giant ripping of his foot and opening up his third eye.
Elden Ring is filled with fire cutscenes, some go underrated so maybe I'll revisit the topic
Gaping Dragon FTW
My favorite from elden ring is gpdrick's phase transition cutscene purely because the music has no right to go so damn hard in the fight with the biggest pushover in the entire game

I mean just hear the lines
“ Tonight… Gehrman joins the hunt”
Gilligan putting a ladder is peak cutscene design. Bravo Miyazaki
Ds2 is the only souls game that miyazaki wasn’t even involved in
Best scene is where sif picks up her sword and says it's sifing time!!!
Best non-cinematic boss moments still goes Sister Friede phase 3 transition and Pontiff Sulyvahn waiting for you
Awesome video buddy! Happy Holidays
For elden ring, my favorite is easily melina burning the erdtree. There's so much depth to it. Her finally reaching her goal, helping you reach yours, thr imagery of the erdtree beginning to burn, and the pure cinematic value it carries. It's beautiful.
Lmaooo “chaos is a ladder has me cackling”
It's one of my favourite quotes lol
Great list as ever Billy. ,My noms:
Demon's Souls - Maiden Astraea. Dat music. Garl standing up. "May you be unharmed."
Dark Souls - agreed
Dark Souls 2 - The Last Giant, for the ballsiness of putting a 'reveal' before you know its a reveal
Bloodborne - It has to be Gehrman for me, for the lines alone
Dark Souls 3 - Sister Friede's opening cutscene is pure badassery
Sekiro - agreed
Elden Ring - I think Fire Giant's second phase works on a number of levels

Thats a very solid rykard impression hahaha
Ds1: Ornsteins second phase
Ds2: Nashandras entrance after the thron watchers
Bb: ending without fighting Gherman
Ds3: Lorian and lothrics second Phase
Sekiro: isshin shura ending entrance
Elden ring: Godricks second Phase
That's a solid list of choices. I was torn between Penetrator and False King Allant for DeS honestly, but the subversion of expectations is really cool.
DS2's Last Giant cutscene hits me different with the context of a previous playthrough.
DS3, the wedding is a really good cutscene, and the near literal mangling of the idea of marriage was striking. Also not me realizing now that Anri is in the Lord of Hollows ending cutscene x_x
Isshin just sweeps Sekiro cutscenes for me, the man is a fucking chad.
My favourites :
Demon's Souls : the only Soulsborne game I never played to, but I love the Penetrator cutscene and the Storm King one.
DS1 : Sif alternate cutscene...
DS2 : The Rotten cutscene, I love this one
BB : "Fear the Old Blood" after beating Amelia
DS3 : Siegward vs Yhorm
ER : Placidusax epic presentation
O' death become my blade once more
I was really surprised by how much I like Gogh in terms of dialogue, I never skip his lines.
The 3 fingers reveal in elden ring is underrated fr
DeS: Flamelurker reveal is just insane
DS1: yeah it's deffo the Kalameet one
DS2: I have a real soft spot for the last giant recognising you from the past
Bloodborne: It has to be Ludwig but the 2nd place medal is an interesting discussion, for me it's maybe Gehrman
DS3: Our favourite Onion boy walking into Yhorms boss room behind you is goated for me
Sekiro: Ishiin after you kill Emma is arguably even more badass
Elden Ring: nothing gives me chills like Godfrey's intro. Upon thy name as Godfrey, the FIRST, ELDEN LORD
I agree nashandra was a good boss fight for a final fight, but man I hate her due to no build up time for her as a final boss. Love the Chanel Billy. Happy I’ve been subscribed keep up the good work!
Let the sun shine upon this lord of cinder 🌞
Half the cutscenes are awesome. The other half is lowering a ladder or opening a door🤣🤣
Bro elden ring has so many fantastic cutscenes. Favorite has to be radagons appearance.
My favorite cutscene of elden ring is the one where Godfrey kills his own lion, and deletes his axe, and becomes more powerful.
"commits sudoku"
Id like a soulsborne opening cutscenes ranking
Ds1- Knight Artorias
Ds2- The last giant
Bloodborne- Ludwig
Ds3-Dancer(for no reason in piticular)
Sekiro-straw giants
Elden Ring godrick the golden😊
Rykard is Dominic Touretto confirmed
Maliketh is the best boss transiction for me
only reason i checked if i was subbed (i already was but forgot lol) was because of "Feel" playing, it's hands down the best and most memorable record in Lies of P imo
My fav is the maliketh second phase cutscene
Nashandra so slay fr fr💅💅 giving the player the CHOP like the qweeeeen she is😌
Who here was caught off guard by Dark Souls 2.
He commits SODOKU
Demon’s souls: does jntro count? It’s so atmospheric! If not, cutscene where Slayer arrives to Nexus
Dark Souls 1: Kalameet falling
Dark Souls 2: Pursuer introduction
Bloodborne: fear the old blood, Ludwig or Gehrman
Dark Souls 3: Abyss Watchers
Sekiro: Purification ending. If does not count, Divine Dragon or Genichiro, way of Tomoe reveal
Elden Ring: Falling Stars after Radahn fight.
I purposefully chose not to include intros since I feel they're kinda on a different league to regular cutscenes. But love your picks ^^
My thoughts on each pick
Demons Souls: “you know the boss will be good if he throws a body he just skewered at you”
Dark Souls: the fact that Kalameet can still kick you up and down the street after taking that shot shows what a beast he truly is
Dark Souls 2: “oh, thank God, the game’s almost over!” 😂
Bloodborne: great cutscene, fun boss, and the best boss track in the game, if not the whole series
DS3: Nothing says true love like stabbing her in the face!
Sekiro: “I’ve got a bad feeling about this”
Elden Ri g: “TOGETHAAA” 🐍
Friede. Feet. Number one. We're done here.
For elden ring I think maliketh transformation cutscene is the best
Might be a dumb question, but the music that was playing while asking as he asked us to subscribe, does anyone know where it's from?
Feel, from Lies of P ^^
Cool list, but I disagree with most of them. So here's my choices:
DeS: gotta agree with the penetrator cutscene
Ds: once again I agree, Gough shooting KALAMEET. But the artorias cutscene is my runner up
Ds2: the duke's dear freja cutscene is pretty damn awesome
BB: my absolute favourite cutscene in the series, vicar Amelia's transformation. So gruesome and haunting
Ds3: gotta go with slave knight gael first cutscene, his voice actor nailed it
Sekiro: idk, the one where owl throws the tiny things at Emma is pretty cool
Er: the destined death cutscene is really awesome
I think Mohg has the best cutscene in ER
Elden Ring- Maliketh
Please do intro ranking!!!
Picking Rykard over Malaketh should be considered blasphemy
Hawkeye gough
I'm a chronic ADHD cutscene skipper but some are too cool to not watch at least once per playthrough
its elden soulsbornekiro not just soulsborne
Can you do more Lies of P videos? Cause I'm currently playing, and oh boy this game is fucking awesome
I'm going to nitpick like crazy, but you're saying your favorite cutscenes in game order, they aren't ranked.
DS1: Gough hunting dragons
DS2: Pursuer intro
DS3: Twin Princes
BB: Ludwig Phase one intro or Lady Maria or Gehrman (can't decide)
Elden Ring: Malenia
Wake up babe, a new Billy S video just dropped
Enough with that played out internet phrase
My fan theory is Anri is gender fluid. Sometimes Anri uses she/her pronouns and sometimes Anri uses he/him pronouns, how else does he present masc is one playthrough and then present femme in another.
I hate to say it, but Rykard is kind of a daddy though.
Cringe
@@jarlwhiterun7478 Have you even seen the paintings? Rykard is easily the best looking character in the game.
The volcano manor bridge rise better be number 1 or I’m going to cry
Edit:😭
