I chose to analyze the Tascam Sonicview 16XP and the Yamaha DM3-D because their the next generation of more economical digital mixers and recorders from each brand, and both are very popular. Anyone interested in purchasing these types of units should be aware of what they can do, so they can avoid buying the unit that may not be the best for them. With this, I decided to take a closer look at exactly what makes them different. I hope this information serves useful.
Nice video - well done! - I don’t see these as competing products. Price difference is 3x and the Tascam (as expected for the price) simply offers more. I will say that one of the nicest features of the DM3 (much like the TF series) are the recallable presets for quite a few mics (Shure, sennheiser etc).
As great as the Tascam is, I can't imagine a lot of people will be willing to drop 6K for a mixer/recorder when they can get by with a much cheaper setup to also mix & record. I have a lot of music gear and never spent 6K for any 1 item.
❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉 Hey Brother 😊😊😊 good to know you are comparing that two first time I am really love the TascamViewsonic but the price is so higher than the Yamaha MD3 they’re both great job brother but quality I still choose the Tascam 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Great video! Hopefully, Rascal or Yamaha will send you these models for review. I am very interested in the SonicView Series, but haven't found any reviews yet.
If you would like more information on the Sonicview 16XP, check out my presentation "TASCAM Sonicview 16XP 16-Channel Digital Mixer & Multi-Track Recorder: Quick Overview", on this channel. Thanks for watching.

Here I'm thinking you have both consoles physically with you to do a live comparison?
If we are comparing with a 6k console, the SQ console series should be on the list, and be SUPER feature rich in comparison with these other consoles.
Nice overview, however I feel it is a bit misplaced as the Tascam should/might more be compared to A&H SQ5 (or perhaps Yamaha QL1) ;)
QL1 is style a good board! but the new one’s is DM7 compact
Are the motorized faders touch-sensitive on the Yamaha or Tascam?
Very important information AND VERY UNDERSTANDABLE EXPLANATION.THANK YOU.
Thanks so much for watching, it's appreciated.

Any idea if the Tascam is going to get an automix module, or multiband dynamics/dynamic EQ? Would make it the best, really.
How many independent monitor mixes do these units support?
Does soniview has preset instruments built-in that can be recall?
Sure does!!
