Do you feel it would be overkill for a 1-piece singer/songwriter acoustic performer? I’d love to have one (it looks beautiful) but have currently settled on a Midas MR12.
      Enjoy the DM3!

Flow 8 is poor craftmanship, because the USB power adaptor in the back is brittle and will break if you plan on plugging it on and off - I would avoid.

Channel presets are not very useful. Instruments differ, they also have EQs and musians use effects and processor, diffent types of amps. A drummer can have a shallow sparkly snare or a deep one with lots of lowend. This review is kinda shallow and doesn't mention downsides of every unit. For example, QSC sounds terrible no matter what you do. The AD/DA converters aren't great and the cheaper Behringer X-Air will sound better.

Why in the world would the soundcraft UI 24r not be on this list? 24 inputs, up to 10 aux output, full onboard multi track recording, HTML 5 interface (no app to download) and a killer price point. Not too mention you can cascade them. I've worked with every mixer on that table and the UI24R wins all day

I had a UI 24 and grew to hate it. Too much lag time. I gave it away. BTW alot of people think soundcraft is circling the drain. No new products in a long time. The guy who was behind the UI -24 now works for mackie

I really like the Tascam sonicview 16 + 16 channel stagebox because you get amazing mic pres in a live desk that has studio quality 96khz 32bit recording for 32 channels

Very generic review, 0 useful real life informations. Also that QSC mixer is pure garbage, it shouldn't be included in 2024 video.

I had the Touchmix 16 and hated the damn thing . Tried the Yamaha DM3 but ended up going with the A&H CQ18T . I really like the A&H and it has the best wifi of the bunch. No need for an external router and never had any dropouts with the tablet . I like the recording capabilities which are also much easier to deal with than the QSC.

What about soundcraft ui 24 ? Is it good enough or should I invest in Yamaha dm 3 ? We are planning to buy one for our Church but we are confused on what to buy. We are currently using soundcraft signature mtk 22. So please give me guidance on that.

I was going to get the UI24 but the lack of a functional router and no dedicated touchscreen negated that purchase . Bought the A&H CQ18T . Besides it having all the aforementioned attributes that the UI didnt have It also sounds noticeably better.

    • @ShawnHolderfield

UI24R is better than anything on the table.

@@ShawnHolderfield The ONLY things it has going for it is the Guitar processing and the extra channels. Its effects are dated , router useless, Requires tablets that are actually difficult to obtain with no dedicated control surface so if it drops(and its known for dropping out even with external routing) it certainly doesn't inspire confidence , to say the least . That It cant record in 96k was a deal breaker too , as 96k is now the preferred format in professional recordings . Regarding the issue with obtaining a suitable control surface. They have a list on the Soundcraft site of compatible units that unfortunately isnt updated because the components in the suggested units are not the same in series releases and as such , though on the list , arent guaranteed to work . I spent alot of time with their techs regarding this issue and they knew it was an issue and admitted their reliance on 3rd party control surfaces and the issue with compatibility hasnt officially been rectified and suggested I put a mini PC between the cont, surface and the ui24 which increased the cost of the unit by hundreds of dollars . Upon hearing this revelation I decided this unit wasnt an option . So far the CQ has done everything I need from it . Iv worked with and owned many mixers over the decades including the Touchmix 16, X32 and XR18. The A&H is the most intuitive and best sounding of the bunch and certainly the easiest to record on and transfer them to DAW. The QSC was horrid dealing with it as a recording device.
