This is the best video tutorial so far. Very clear and precise. More videos to come po sana para sa mga starters at mag rereview ng gustong bumalik sa pagdesign. More power Sir!
Hello...AYOS...SIR...ENGR...NA REFRESH na naman me regarding your VIDEO...SANA CONTINUES nyo lng VLOG nyo.... SIR...Long LIVE forever...GOD BLESS us all.
I appreciate your approach to focus on the theoretical. Anyway the codes are there to refer to to anytime plus it is a way to double check the design softwares. This is also a review for us "old" CE's who has not focused too much on design for many years.
New subs sir 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 thanks for this information. 💯
Sir, It is understood from your video that you have adopted 15KN/m^2 per floor. If we adopt column load= No. Of floor xtributary areax load/m^2 for internal column 3x(5x4.5)x15kn/m^2=1012.5Kn.For calculating load for foundation we normally take 16 KN/m^2 for residential, 17KN/m^2 for educational building, 18KN/m^2 for Institutional building, 20 KN/m^2 for commercial/assembly building, 22 KN/m^2 for industrial building as load/m^2 per floor and for roof you can consider 10 to 12 KN/m^2. If we consider residential building as per this total load= 2x16+12=44KN/m^2 and foundation load for internal column will be (5x4.5) x 44= 990 KN/m^2. This is for information please.
Hanep to sir ah! More Powers Sir and God Bless!
More videos on design sir ng building structure ( column, beam , slab at roof trusses)🙏🙏🙏
Hi, Sir. Thank you so much for this! Very useful and madali maintindihan. By the way, Sir, interested po ako sa tabulation for quick reference na nabanggit nyo po. Salamat so much!
New subscriber po ako. Maraming salamt po and more power po Sir.
Basically, servicibilty limit refers to the point where rebars in a tensile zone starts to yield. An indication where the neutral axis separating compression and tensile zone starts to move toward compression zone which will tend to destroy concrete by crushing. If you remember, ACI Code established a numerical strain value of 0.003 deformation in order to safeguard concrete zone in crushing. I hope that reminds you the fundamental theory of flexure design as well. Thanks
Bagong subscriber po ako 😁 at talagang napapahanga ako in the way you teach, very clear and concise po.
im not an engr, i hate math. pero i did calculation on 9m x 10m, 6 footings, 3 storey.. di siya lumayo sa example ni engr. salamat sau sir... at least handa nako sa gagastusin if ever... i hope mag continue tong topic na to into column, beam slab design. more power sa channel mo sir.
Hi Engr.Thnak you for this very informative lecture on how to design footings. My question is: About the total number of units, Is there no problem, if the total number of units has a decimal point, example, 10.5? I mean the number of units are not a whole numbers? Thnak you for answering my query. God bless.
Hi po Engr., Much appreciated po yung contents niyo. Meron po ba kayong content for analysis of foundation if sufficient po yung designed strength nung footing versus the required strength? Thank you so much po in advance and God bless!
Thank you po. Dami ko po natutunan dito sir.
Tanong lng po Sir, designing RC beam for 4 storey. Using the loading by tributary area means complete or tptal load is it the design beam is applicable to all floors? or individual design its floor? Thanks po Larry
Yeah, in reality the live load and lateral loads must be included in the design of the foundation considering the allowable 33% increased in soil bearing capacity. However, I think it was stated in the last part of the video that this tutorial is only for preliminary design; that he can provide detailed computation for the whole design.
This is the best video tutorial so far. Very clear and precise. More videos to come po sana para sa mga starters at mag rereview ng gustong bumalik sa pagdesign. More power Sir!

Very clear sir!pls post more.
Sir, I like the way you present it.

Hi Engr.Thnak you for this very informative lecture on how to design footings. Thnak you for answering my query. God bless.
Number of units means required as per your calculation, you need to round-it-off to the next higher number. Thanks
Thank you sir ❤️ God bless po
Salamat eng'r
Sir question lang po. Piano nag arrived yun 2.5m sa 1012 over 150. More blessing. Salamat po.
Extract mo sq root
Sir, good day, may tanung lang ako, how about the total weight of rebars?
Thanks for this informative direct design method very useful.
Very clear and well explained. Thank you !
1,012kn divide 150 knm2 = 6.75 m, Ang answers nya ay 2.50 m
Good day, constant po ba ung 6% of reaction dun sa pag solve ng thickness? Thank you, Sir
sir more on structural design please
Hi po Engr., Much appreciated po yung contents niyo. Meron po ba kayong content for analysis of foundation if sufficient po yung designed strength nung footing versus the required strength? Thank you so much po in advance and God bless!
Thank you po.
Dami ko po natutunan dito sir.
Yes you need to extract the root. Thanks
New subs here po sir. Thankyou for this unique technique 😊

Yes . Yung 0.5m3/m2 is considered as finished product of complete structural shell. Thanks
Nice explanation, Sir. However, I am wondering why there is no mention about live load and possible wind and seismic load. Thank you.
Yeah, in reality the live load and lateral loads must be included in the design of the foundation considering the allowable 33% increased in soil bearing capacity. However, I think it was stated in the last part of the video that this tutorial is only for preliminary design; that he can provide detailed computation for the whole design.
