man, i know CR already has an animated series, but i would pay for thus mini series. the "Shut the fuck up we don't have time for this" in glorious animation would be amazing.

Between some of the comedic moments and some of the utter horror if this got animated it would be goddamned glorious.

The quick speech at 42:10 would also make a great animated clip.

If I had a nickel for every time Brennan has stabbed Lou's character in the back I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice right?

Every few days "Don't pay him ! It's a boooon !" just pops into my mind
Lou seeing a drunk noble and being like "that's my best friend" is so fucking funny why
I love that while everyone is confused and surprised my Brennan shenanigans, Lou has been dealing with for years and is just FULLY over it
The fireworks one is the best to illustrate it. Immediately you can see Lou recognizing the “I’m about to ruin to ruin your fun” Mulligan, he mutters “don’t do this man” before anyone else knows something “bad” is coming.
Him sayin "how many dice is that you FUCK?!" In episode 4 comes to mind.
The scene where Nydas has 700 hodmedods bring in the rarest magical tree from Marquet constantly reminds me that all 3 CR campaigns can, realistically, be considered a post apocalyptic setting.
Most fantasy ttrpgs are, LOTR happens after the fall of Numenor, the forgotten realms are set after the collapse of several kingdoms, including the Netherese, thus the name of forgotten realms
Turns out that dungeons need to come from somewhere and the fall of great civilization is a great source of them
It's all about perspective I guess!
@@agustinvenegas5238 following that logic on ruins and dungeons, you can call our universe a post-apocalyptic setting
all 3 of the main campaigns ARE supposed to be post apocalyptic, hence the calamity prequel mini campaign
@@freak3470 and I do, several times over, and it's also post-singularity if you consider the increases in our work capacity due to the neolithic agricultural revolution, the invention of metallurgy and the printing press, the industrial revolution and the widespread adoption of electronic computers

I know I’m reading way too much into it, but that line still feels heavier knowing the theme of this campaign
I never noticed before, but I love after Nydas' impassioned speech about abandoning the gold in favor of saving lives, everyone is kind of catching their breath and you just hear Travis under his breath, "You sure you're not a paladin?"
I absolutely loved how Lou was like: nah, I don't care if this isn't Dimension 20, I'm still gonna give Brennan ALL the shit. He isn't safe here. Respect the DM? Nah. How many dice is that, you fuck??? If it's more than 30, you're a cheater.

Honestly, as an NB in transition, Lou is definitely who I look up to for masculine energy, warmth, and style
so I'm writing a campaign that involves exploring the ruins of Avalir, and I'm including that coin Nydas flips when he casts Summon Draconic Spirit as a magic item.

Every episode of A Court of Fey and Flowers I watched, I couldn't help but say out loud "Fuck, Lou is so pretty". I had that compulsion consistently every time he was on screen, that man is gonna ruin me

Every time I watch nydas' final moments I get all choked up. I'm pretty sure the first time I watched it I cried for real for the first time in ages. Lou is so good at dnd, and he and Brennan make an amazing ttrpg duo

Read the title and saw the run time of the video and thought, "damn, only 48 minutes?" Then when I started watching it made more sense for it just to be a cut of him during calamity lmao. Makes sense now.
This is a Lou that's been dealing with Brenan shenanigans for years.
Lou also has guest starred as a player in the second season of NADDPOD.
That character was fun because its Lou playing a guy that just wants to kill stuff with his friends.
You missed one part I was really hoping for-- when Lou was freaking out over the 1-second mark

Brennan's little firework extravaganza fakeout is one best moments in D&D history.
That ending with his brother and Nydas' dream, like many other moments in this series, had me in tears
I want to see 34:30 animated but with the characters sitting at the table making the expressions the actors are making.
Also want to see the taxmen and homgedods take on the demons

Yessss when I first started watching Fantasy high with 0 knowledge about any of the Dropout personalities, Lou/Fabian was just to hilarious, now I can't imagine watching DnD without Lou
He needs to guest in CR campaign 3 for sure!
I liked watching Lou physically get into the Fabian role every single time he spoke. He does it with other characters sometimes, but very consistently with Fabian - he swaggers and simpers just a tiny bit every time.

Thank you for this complilation, which I FINALLY found! Lou is AMAZING. His range of play in EXU: Calamity shows why so many of us will watch ANYTHING Lou is in! I'm so glad Critters, who may not have known about Lou through Dimension 20, were introduced to and experienced our National Treasure! With all the fantastic things Lou had Nydas do, I have to admit, this is still probably my favorite: 32:28!

I LOVE ONE MAN
I wasn't a fan of Lou Wilson in the limited times I've seen him on Dimension 20. He was fantastic in this show, though. Probably my favorite character in Calamity. Especially in the 3rd episode when they went to the Arboreal Calix. The hysterical energy he brought when he saw Karwen's prophecy coming to fruition was truly top notch acting.
If you haven’t watched it I’d suggest unsleeping city as I love his character in that. Another great one is in a crown of candy.

Just checking the comments to ease that emotional whiplash from that last scene, to me alone in my dark room.
Dimension 20 and Critical Role are the only things I watch that can bring me to tears. I just get so invested in the characters they make. I wish there were people in my life that understood. These stories are so important to me, and I can't really articulate why they're any different than any of the other many ways that I consume stories.
Thank you for making this. It was nice to relive.
