My son was 17 he called me at work and started crying he told me he was sorry that it was bad. He finally said he was gay, I told him it was okay, I loved him he had nothing to be sorry for. When I got home I just opened my arms and hugged him.
I cried so much when I came out to my mom cuz I thought she wouldn't love me anymore and I was really scared to as well. I also cried when I came out to my cheer team cuz I thought they would think of me differently and treat me differently but they treated me the same as they did before and they dont thunk kf me differently, they were accepting. I love my cheer team so much.

The first one. It was so pure. He was so scared but he did it! I felt the same when I came out to my parents. But just hugged me and said “we love you no matter what”. All parents should be like that.🙂
I'm very proud of the person that was graduating & happy for them, cause that emotional build up of waiting for the right time, led to an announcement at graduation. Hopefully if there were other religions there, they weren't offended but honored to be in the audience during the most important, remembered and treasured moment of that persons life.

Some people say they are fine with it, but in reality they look at it as something negative. I have a close friend who came out just this week, he told me that for all of his life, he had heard that homosexuality is wrong, that bisexuals has a chance and that straight people are normal, so he never dared telling people who he really was deep inside, of fear that people would think that he was disgusting, sick, in need of a cure, rehab or even castration. When he understood that his close ones would see him with the same eyes as before no matter what, he broke down in tears of relief. I mean this person is not evil, far from it, he is the friendliest, most generous and empathic person I know. Why would I and our equal friends discard such a wonderful person. I doubt there is such things as gods, but if they do exist, I think they would be proud of his bravery when he told people about his honest feelings. Honesty is worth more than the most valuable stone in the world afterall. Love has value, hate doesn't. This goes for anyone struggling with hiding their true feelings, not only sexual, but overall, don't be afraid of being your true self, there's always someone out there who will love and support you for who you are
What makes me sad....is I see people coming out crying about it....and saying there sorry!? Sorry for being human? Sorry for who you are? Our society should change! Anyone should be able to come out, and not be afraid because of who they are!

For me, coming out was a stark and very black or white choice. I fell in love with a man and I had to choose - do I follow my heart and go be with him or do I stay in the closet, for the sake of my family and friends? At that point in my life, it wasn't much of a choice at all. My man and I have been together about 15 years and have been married for 5 1/2 years. And my family loves him too!! :)

I think the most powerful one is the second one, when the guy says “I’m sorry” to his mom. This is exactly how it feels to be gay and closeted. You feel like an error or a mistake, that it gets you to the point where you think that it’s your own fault.

I think the most powerful one is the second one, when the guy says “I’m sorry” to his mom. This is exactly how it feels to be gay and closeted. You feel like an error or a mistake, that it gets you to the point where you think that it’s your own fault.

I have a dear friend that is gay and that I love and support with all I have! He is my brother from another mother and he will always be! I am proud of him and I am also a little jealous because when he does his makeup for a show I wish I could look that amazing! You are who you are! Be proud! There is nothing to be ashamed or scared about!
I wish it was like this for me, my mom pretty much hates me because of my sexuality 😕
