Kev, that sloppiness in the wheels on the e-revo comes from the pillow ball "holder" for lack of knowing a better term. On the hub there are black "nuts" that you use the gray plastic wrench sent with the truck on. Tighten those up and the wheels should steady up a bit. I end up having to tighten these up each run.

@@KevinTalbotTV hey brother look into rpm true track rear conversation it's for the first erevo but I it gets rid of those links all together and I seen you can use a driemal to make the 2.0 bigger bearing fit and make the setup work for the erev2.0 and it makes it unbelievably strong my brother

Regarding the slop in the E Revo, that's why I like to upgrade the knuckles, the plastic is fine, but you probably should change them out more often than most of us do (generally only opting to do it once it is noticeably broken), but I think it is a high wear point at the pins, bearings, etc. and just gets loose over time, due to all the vibration and movement (that's just what I believe, anyway).

I've tried before. If the snow is soft or you don't have paddle tires, the car just gets stuck.

Just a suggestion but you guys should maybe join a build crew to help maintain and improve the dirt jumps you use regularly. Most builders are be happy you using their jumps but it wouldn't hurt to give a helping hand.

Pretty sure rpm makes a true track conversion for the e revo, also tighten up the pillow balls on the e revo it'll fix that slop, my t maxxs do that too, just needs to be tight enough to reduce slop but loose enough to allow free movement

I think the xmaxx is just electronics. I drove my RC car in the snow and also my engine did not work but the servo did. When I dried him everything worked normally.
Yup..brushless motor and esc may say waterproof..but that's a lie. electronics are never fully safe in water.

kev, not sure if you know or heard but arrma already revised the k8s.. the upper single brace has been changed to 2 seperate braces that mount to the center diff housing.. they added a u-channel chassis brace to the rear of the chassis between the rear diff housing and center diff housing.. they now also come with a dx3 transmitter... as an early adopter of the k8s you should call horizon and see if they will send the updated parts to you...
yeh i saw it, but got an m2c chassis coming so that should solve it
I found that when you drive in the snow and you car gets really snowy the throttle cuts out but if you wash it out and leave it to dry for a couple days it should be back to normal

Kev I think the esc died because the barriers where putting out big volts of eclectity and the mother was demanding more power in the snow so it got to much volts and died
I know I say this a lot but I'd sure love to see the DHK maximus get some attention. It seems like such a fantastic truck. I've almost bought one a few times. Next time bangood has a 40‰ sale or more I'm buying one.

That poor x-maxx can't catch a break! I've been waiting for your opinion on those power hobby tires, but the xmaxx keeps dying on you before you fan get a real test on em! Lol I just got through a full rebuild on mine today. Taking her out tomorrow.

The bent aluminium plate was a common issue on the K8s of the first generations. But I understand that they fixed that now. So maybe you get a replacement if you complain to Arrma.

everytime it snows here in chicago i pull out my mini e revo on 3s and rip it down around the parking lot soo fun lmfao
