I'm a noob to rock crawling. What benefits do you get from removing the portals and going to straight axles? Would you have to pick your lines a little differently because of clearance? Is it a pure aesthetics thing? Love your videos.
Lowered the centre of gravity so opens more line options up actually. Plus limiting the shocks help keep it low. In time you’ll find a more predictable truck is easier and more fun to drive. Portals are for mud or purpose built Rockcrawler buggies
Did you ever cut the shock mount off and mount the shocks down with the links? Thinking of doing it to mine
No we used the stock shocks and limited them internally to 90mms and much much better

Hi there - did you swap out the portal transminssion for a normal Axial 3 gear?
The kit comes with the gears to change ratio and it’s 100x better feel. So happy with this build!
What do you do to stop the Axial shocks from leaking?
Replaced with Traxxas 90mm from trx4 lol. Axial shocks are poop
Or use Green Slime😃 Make Them smooth and stop leaking…
Which roof rack is this
Knight customs self printed with files from MyMiniFactory
I want to buy one of these folding tonneau covers,I don't have a 3d printer. Is anyone making these for sale?
I’ll check with the designer if we can help you out with his permission
Thank you I would really appreciate it if you can.
