    Nice video, but you forgot one! I found out the hard way that I should have done this right away.. put a piece of heat shrink tubing about 1 cm in length on the center of the little splined drive shaft coupler pieces. Apparently there's enough slop where they can escape! The center ridge is very narrow, so the coupler usually sits all the way in one side or the other. I lost my front coupler while toodling around the trail and had to drive home in RWD only :D

    after the battery tray bracket removal wouldn’t lowering the shock mounting point (lifting rideheight ) be a better setting? since the tires become the only thing bottoming out?

    Yo troy I just bought the JL version of the 10.3 just because the wheelbase is 12.3 instead of 13.9 😅

    • @RoadsideRC
      @RoadsideRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah - the long wheelbase on this truck is a double-edged sword for sure. This longer wheelbase would go up stuff the JL version won't - and vice versa.

    • @MRPB54
      @MRPB54 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RoadsideRC that be true but then you also get a bit more aftermarket cause tons of bodies are 12.3 WB and links would be wayy easier to get. Especially if changing chassis to LCG ones

    Wish you would have showed what you cut off the rear bumper kinda useless to tell people about things instead of showing what you cut

    • @RoadsideRC
      @RoadsideRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I try to point out how much I cut, but it is hard to see, as most was ground off.
      Basically, took off as much off the bottom of the bumper as possible, plus worked to move it in under the body as much as possible.

    • @RoadsideRC

      Why do you think it needs weight on the rear? That seems unusual.

    • @Wagenmeister
      @Wagenmeister 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RoadsideRC Its a truggy and there is no weight in the rear. Is is heavily front weight biased, going downhill usually ends up in ass-over-nose.
