Roots 432 Hz They didn't say that every single track on the album would be industrial, and we've only heard 4/15 so far, there's still plenty more to hear yet, the 4 we've gotten have all been different genres, animals was industrial, black lungs was more post-hardcore/melodic metalcore, dead butterflies was symphonic rock, meteor is normal hard rock. Also, as easy as it is to be cynical, Tom unfortunately isn't here for us to know absolutely if he would or wouldn't have taken the band down this route too. I highly doubt they'd willingly disrespect his legacy for fame by going in a totally different direction to what they know he would've wanted

I am very excited about the new Album and like the new songs so far. Yes, it's different but I really like it. Reading comments made me kinda sad cause there's so much negativity. Saying things like "they lost theyr passion" is kinda rude in my opinion. I'm sure they put a lot of work and love in this Album like they always did. Why not letting them try new things?

For what it's worth I absolutely ADORE this album the whole damn thing and I cannot tell you the amount of times I've heard this album and the Abbey Road version I don't know what it is but this shit hits me different in a good way! That said "these colours don't run" imo is an absolutely perfect song and I wish I could erase it from my memory and rediscover it again!!

When you listen to this band they have a certain DNA, which makes them unique and you know it's Architects. This is just too different. People will say why don't you just listen to their old stuff. You know what I will; These colours don't run, C.A.N.C.E.R, Doomsday, A match made in heaven, Gone with the wind, Modern Misery, Dying to heal, Naysayer and A wasted hym. These songs make Architects... Architects.
I mean, In Flames sound different on each album, and a lot of "hardcore fans" get pissed about every new one, but you ALWAYS know it's an In Flames album from the first sounds. Not the case here.

Now I still listen to some songs off ruin more than the last 3 records. And hollow crown was my first tattoo. And yes, even with this release, theyre my favourite band.

I felt the same. When they used to release a new song I’d know it was architects within a few seconds now it’s just like any other typical radio rock song with a slightly harder edge. I enjoyed animals but this is just generic in my opinion.

Right I’m gonna give my thoughts so far. Animals = Amazing Black Lungs = Great Dead Butterflies = Incredible Meteor = Good Animals and Dead Butterflies are the clear standouts for me. They are awesome and they are on repeat. Black Lungs is great, I LOVE the screaming in it. The chorus seems a bit odd but I can still dig it. Still replay that one quite a bit. Meteor, well it’s probably because I’ve just first listened to it but it sounds like a weird Starset? That may just be me haha. I mean it’s fine don’t get me wrong, I enjoy it but just not as much as the others. I’m sure it’ll grow on me. My final point is (I know I sound like a miserable fan stuck in the past) but I kinda miss the screaming. Funny as my favourite songs don’t have any screaming in but I do. We got like one second of it at the end of Meteor and I’m so hungry for more. I’ve heard Goliath and Impermanence might be quite heavy and Discourse Is Dead I know has screaming in and it’s awesome but I’m kinda hoping for more. I’ve heard the leak and I really think there is something for everyone on the album, I agree this song is good but they’ve really saved the best stuff for the rest of the album imo

Just to weigh in, I've caught the leak and there's plenty you'll enjoy on the album - 2-3 on there are in my all-time favourite Architects songs. They fuse the heavy screams with the new sound perfectly on Libertine and parts of Goliath even hark back to Daybreaker for me (in a good way). After the first play-through it was just one big 'hmm', but having listened since it leaked it's probably second behind All our Gods as my favourite album. It might seem like a bit of a marmite one initially, but I can see this being one of the great 'grower' albums. Also, whoever knew the Biffy Clyro bloke had THOSE kind of pipes on him? Fuck me, his screams BANG
It's good to be versatile when you bring new stuff. But when your versatily is "doing a heavy song + doing a generic modern rock song + doing a generic BMTH song" etc etc, it's pointless. They've always been vesatile and always brought new sound. Now they're doing the same music as at least 20 bands (based on the singles we've heard, obviously). It's starting to piss me off, I didn't expect that from them, they were the opposite of that
@@nysm6661 I get you 100% I love their older stuff LF//LT and AOGHAU are my favourites but they are changing, new song writers etc. I've listened to the whole album and there are some heavier tracks in the mix. I do agree this is more generic, but they will always have their back catalogue, that will never dissappear.

When they've released Alien, they've not just sounded different, I cannot remember ANY similar album. And this is just pure mainstream metal. Pretty disappointing

Despite their capacity to write good heavy stuff, Architects have always been good at writing melodies. That's a fact, every Archtitects song have a strong melody. People change, bands do too. Architects are still a great band, even if they changed style. Now melody comes out more, instrumental parts are more simple, but come on, they still kick asses.
I like how there are references to songs from previous albums here and there in the lyrics (not especially in this one but in general). Feels like there is a connection between all their songs and that all of them are part of one big story

This is good, enjoyable, and as some people have already said in the comments, has strong Starset vibes. But i also think it is a little bit generic, except for the final part, which is amazing
Starset is a generic version of a bunch of other generic bands. So being a generic band based off a generic band based off of generic bands is not a good look.
You guys are doing an amazing job! You do this all without Tom! We are all proud and he would be the most! It is NOT boring it is hard work and a new chapter. They create the hole album without him and i am so glad they still make music. So just think about that first.
Don't understand me wrong i still love Architects very much and their Lyrics was and is always the best of the best. Always a Masterpiece but i really miss the heavier parts. I always liked Architects so much because i could feel the lyrics not just listen to it. Architects was unique on its own and i understand that they wanted change but i really..Really miss the authentic sound of the ..anger..sadness..hope.. and *love* that i still feel in many of their older songs. It's not the "Blegh" in particular what most of us miss..its the masterpieces we connected to it. Just the abillity to feel whole and empowered and strong in all feelings.
Same, it's very bitter sweet to try and continue to be a fan. This is loop metal. Write 3 or 4 riffs, repeat. Add a hook. Tom would of never released crap like this, they sold out. There's no more emotional riffs, breakdowns are rare. Everything that Architects was or stood for is washed away. Anyone notice the religious theme? All our gods have abandoned us!

I miss the days when bands put out 1 single then released the album. By February 26th we’ll have heard pretty much the entire album. This is my least favorite of the new songs but still a good one.
I get where youre coming from, and while this has been generally practiced since before covid, now without concerts this can be a way of creating additional income, I suppose.

The fact architects are so versatile just proves that they are unbeatable. The whole album hits hard in totally different ways.
It's good to be versatile when you bring new stuff. But when your versatily is "doing a heavy song + doing a generic modern rock song + doing a generic BMTH song" etc etc, it's pointless. They've always been vesatile and always brought new sound. Now they're doing the same music as at least 20 bands (based on the singles we've heard, obviously). It's starting to piss me off, I didn't expect that from them, they were the opposite of that
@@nysm6661 I get you 100% I love their older stuff LF//LT and AOGHAU are my favourites but they are changing, new song writers etc. I've listened to the whole album and there are some heavier tracks in the mix. I do agree this is more generic, but they will always have their back catalogue, that will never dissappear.
@@steedenscfc The band, that is versatile is Northlane. When they've changed from Singularity, Node and Mesmer sounded really good(bad mixing,tho). When they've released Alien, they've not just sounded different, I cannot remember ANY similar album. And this is just pure mainstream metal. Pretty disappointing
@@cyntdestroyer69xd For me the bands to beat are Polaris and Thornhill at the moment. Architects are doing their own thing, they like it, I like it. Let's just enjoy it. Like I said they are versatile in the way they can make each album have its own sound. Each of the 15 songs on this album has a very different vibe, I like them all differently. Yes some are mainstream and appeal to more l, but that's good for the band. I'm in whatever. 👊🏼

Despite their capacity to write good heavy stuff, Architects have always been good at writing melodies. That's a fact, every Archtitects song have a strong melody. People change, bands do too. Architects are still a great band, even if they changed style. Now melody comes out more, instrumental parts are more simple, but come on, they still kick asses.
I can hear Starset sound style in these last few singles. Gotta say I like that very much. 🤘😋

I like how there are references to songs from previous albums here and there in the lyrics (not especially in this one but in general). Feels like there is a connection between all their songs and that all of them are part of one big story

@@SeelsOfElation honestly, not that much as rosalie probably thinks. On the album there are at least 4/5 other songs actually equal to Meteor and for me is so damn boring... Just impernanence could probably be considered 'classic architects'
So far its so boring and soft that it hurts. Wish they never changed their style. No need to become another BMTH/go parkway drive way of becoming more and more boring to listen to.
This is good, enjoyable, and as some people have already said in the comments, has strong Starset vibes. But i also think it is a little bit generic, except for the final part, which is amazing

Starset is a generic version of a bunch of other generic bands. So being a generic band based off a generic band based off of generic bands is not a good look.

Don't understand me wrong i still love Architects very much and their Lyrics was and is always the best of the best. Always a Masterpiece but i really miss the heavier parts. I always liked Architects so much because i could feel the lyrics not just listen to it. Architects was unique on its own and i understand that they wanted change but i really..Really miss the authentic sound of the ..anger..sadness..hope.. and *love* that i still feel in many of their older songs. It's not the "Blegh" in particular what most of us miss..its the masterpieces we connected to it. Just the abillity to feel whole and empowered and strong in all feelings.

Same, it's very bitter sweet to try and continue to be a fan. This is loop metal. Write 3 or 4 riffs, repeat. Add a hook.
Tom would of never released crap like this, they sold out. There's no more emotional riffs, breakdowns are rare. Everything that Architects was or stood for is washed away. Anyone notice the religious theme?

I miss the days when bands put out 1 single then released the album. By February 26th we’ll have heard pretty much the entire album. This is my least favorite of the new songs but still a good one.
Remember.. The album is gonna have 15 fuckin' songs... A whole hour of lukewarm arena rock.
