The whole “taking sides” thing is frustrating both when people take sides and when people use the excuse “We aren’t taking sides” as an excuse to not listen, be supportive, or protective of someone who is leaving a destructive relationship.
This was Divine timing I hear this interview, as I had been in deep healing for over 48 months. Much of the epiphanies I heard Lysa describe I had (the hard way) come to some of the same. Too many times throughout she articulated so well how this growth evolves. One particular that stood out I have yet to achieve, she said she prayed she needed the support of friends who had experienced similar. No we are not interested in stirring a bucket of sorrows at all, it is the encouragement the understanding we receive from those who have endured similar circumstances and the hope we can give one another in that process. Sharing what we are learning along the way and the strength it gives to see a sister in the Lord flourish and heal. Thank you ladies.
I love Lysa’s epiphany. I have those same thoughts and concerns about my vows. I never thought about accepting it as my reality. I can relate to so much of what you said 💜
I appreciate your podcast! Going through a very tough time. After 41 years my husband wants to be done. He has been mental abuse and has other addictions. Having a rough time moving on.
Tremendously encouraging. Yes, the truth on earth is sometimes so painful to face. Real safety and security comes from knowing that God loves and accepts us and will provide for us, even when we fail, and even when we are rejected by others.
You definitely don’t NEED another person you can stay happily single and blessed snd never feel alone !! Don’t believe the lies of Satan - he uses your husband or wife or so called friends to try to bring you down
it's public knowledge so you can search for news coverage and find out the leaders who told her to just stay and put up with his cheating, etc. and its in her books.
What if you do have not so pretty legs according to that persons taste? You have the legs our Father gave you and we accept that and it's all that matters 🙂
