Thank You Leo for another great video. I received my Ampero Stomp yesterday and so far it has been great. Your example of the signal chain is easy to follow. I hope to use it live this next week in our Worship Band.
Really powerful and good sounding product. Very interesting demo song as usual. Sparked my creativity and now I'm trying to replicate your tone on my POD Go. It's a great time to be a guitarist. God bless and rock on 👍😎🎸
Cool, I'm happy for this...it's kind of a strange song...I'm happy that you have found it interesting....and I think that the only problem you will have with the POD GO is it's missing possibility to have parallel effects ad therefore parallel delays. Thank you!

Thank you Leo. Another very useful educational video. I just received the unit couple of days ago. I found the amp sounds excellent and cabs also excellent. They seem to take less DSP then IR so can easily use 2 amps 2 cabs. If you place CAB at the end of the chain you can split and send one output to PA with the CAB and the other prior to split to power amp with guitar speakers. This is my first Ampero product. Do you think, the amp and cab sounds are significantly improved from the old?
Hi, thank you! My first impression is that the amp sound is very similar but the cab section has improved...but I have to do a direct comparison video to be able to answer properly. Thank you once more!
Hi, thank you! Not yet. They told me that it should be added with future firmware upgrade...but so far snapshots or scenes are not available.. Thank you!
Thank you Stevo, I'm super happy that you like the video!!! I've asked and they told me that they will include scene / snapshot....but I don't know when and if they actually will.... Thanks!
Thx for the good video. There should be more videos like this one showing what the limitations of certain devices are. Just reading the numbers (XY effects, EY effects simultaneously, etc.) can be misleading.
Great video as always ! The Stomp 2 seems quite underpowered i must say since you were able to hit the dsp limit with just 7 blocks that seemed to be a pretty standard chain and nothing excessive.
Hi Stefan, thank you for sharing. I would only add that this is the first iteration of the sw and fw, therefore maybe they need to tweak and optimise the algorithms ... Thank you!
I am interested in this for multi fx use. I am curious if you skip the amp and IR blocks can you add additional fx blocks. Ultimately, I want my existing stereo fx to be able to be used in series or parallel modes. I want to replace my NUX Mod Core with programmable presets and use certain combinations of different delays when needed. I am impressed with the power this fx unit has. I am not really interested in amp models, but what I have heard sound really good.

Hi, it works great. Maybe you can check out this video, where I have compared the Ampero Stomp 2 with other modellers in the loop of the ToneX pedal. Instead of the ToneX pedal you can put your amp...removing 3ms of latency from the latency test. Thank you!
Hi - I was considering moving from Pod GO to Ampero II Stomp for the following reasons: Limited DSP on Pod GO, Limited effects for Acoustic Guitars (not simulators, but to use my real acoustic steel and nylon guitars). 1. Has the DSP management improved with new firmware, and is the Ampero II more powerful than Pod GO in terms of over-all DSP? 2. Is there any noticeable latency in complex chain? 3. Is Ampero better to use with a real acoustic guitar? With POD I just use acoustic IR that I made. For Ampero I see that it has Piezo optimizer, Acoustic amps, but I see no demos to demonstrate this, or if they are good. It's unclear if the acoustic IRs are for use with a real acoustic guitar, or to use with magnetic electric guitar. I worry that those features might use all the DSP with no room for reverb. 4. I would like to do dual cabinet (or dual amp) to thicken some sounds. It looks like you are limited to 6 blocks each if you split the path. So if I do a complex chain with 8 effects, I cannot split to two cabinets at the very end? Since I must keep the overall chain under 6 blocks per cabinet? I'm concerned if it would really be better than Pod GO for this use.
Hi, interesting questions... For the questions related to the acoustic guitar, you can check out this video: th-cam.com/video/j5gsEETVN9Q/w-d-xo.html I have not checked the DSP improvements with new firmware, therefore I cannot tell. Hello Leo, i love your videos, just want to know which has more DSP power between HX stomp and the ampero stomp II , in terms of power which one do you recomend?
Hi, it's hard to answer...because it depends on the algorithms and the type of effects you place in the chain...so I'm not sure that there is a clear winner. Thank you for your message!
Spero chiaro. Grazie del messaggio!
Leo congrats. You put the most valuable videos of the gear on youtube! I am little bit confused of DSP capacity of this unit. What if I would like to combine chain which have 2 amps, 2 cabs, 2 reverbs, 2 delays? Is it possible or not? I really wanted to buy BOSS 1000 CORE but your videos about Ampero made me thinking!
Hi Mike, there are two considerations: 1) the firmware and the software are in their infancy....so the algorithms could be optimized in future firmware upgrades allowing us to use more effects blocks 2) the amp and the cab are pretty taxing the DSP and therefore if you use two amps you are limited in terms of other effects you can put. For sure the GT 1000 core allows you to put more amp and effects in the chain. Thank you!
Hi, I asked them about the 44.1 and the scene / snapshots: they told me "perhaps with future firmware upgrades", even if I think that it's pretty difficult to upgrade from 44.1 to 48 via software. Thank you
Great video as always! BTW, how's the transition between presets? Is there preset spill over of delays/reverbs? How is the gap between preset change, if there is any?
Hi, yes there is the trail / spillover. There is a latency while switching presets...they say that they will implements scenes snapshots, but so far they are not available Thank you for your question!
@@LeoGibsonGtr Thanks for the response! I'm really interested with the unit, but I wish it has gapless preset switching like the Boss GT1000Core or the MX5.
Hi, as far as I know, the snapshots / scenes are not yet available in the Ampero. Hotone said that they will be added with future firmware upgrades... Thank you!
A weak point of this system seems to be that if you want split the signal chain to use only 1 or 2 blocks, you're definitely losing the other ones in the split...for instance, i use all 6 in the first line, then I split to get only a parallel amp and IR and I cannot use the rest 4 blocks to complete my signal chain in the first line

Hi, it's a good idea...maybe in the coming weeks I will do it. Thank you for your suggestion!
Hi Fabrizio, thank you for sharing! I think you are right...
Only 7 blocks consumes all processing capacity. Thats disappointing.
Thank you for sharing your findings!
