So weird, never thought as a lightning fan we would see this from Boston. But Tbf this is a way different team the past couple years. I feel like in 3 or 4 years my team will be in that position if not careful. Aging sand retiring players,not enough young good players coming in to offset it.

This was the only way this ever could’ve ended. Either the Leafs do the thing again, or they exercise their demons and the Bruins blow a 3-1 lead in the first round for the second year in a row. No matter what happens, the content that comes from this is gonna be legendary.

It’s truly fascinating how in the past 5 or so years, especially since Game 7 v. Tampa in 2022, Steve’s outlook towards the leafs has evolved and somewhat deteriorated. He went from super forgiving and confident thinking they’d win the cup to full on emotionally damaged and unable to be convinced they are anything more than a perpetual punch line. This has all led him to see the positive side of both a win and a loss, and somehow the Leafs have hurt this man in a way that has perhaps given him a quite healthy outlook on his (cursed) favorite hockey team. This man’s origin story has been shared with us all for years and I am happy to have been along for the ride the last few years.
Steve, I wish you well.

It was amazing…for a leafs game. Almost every other playoff teams’ building has more atmosphere than Toronto. Watch a Dallas game or a Rangers game. Even the Florida Panthers’ building is more lively. It’s not even close. Every time I watch a Toronto home game you can here a pin drop it is so quiet

Regardless of what happens in game 7 they showed a lot of heart to get back into this series. I think changes need to be made this offseason but i also to think they absolutely need to find a way to resign Domi and Bertuzzi. And Woll is the number 1 goalie now going forward. He is so clutch!

Underrated factor in that Lohrei hit when he was holding onto Holmberg's stick, not having two arms probably didn't help him brace for the impact against the boards. If he had two arms, he probably doesn't go into the boards as hard.

Yeah, definitely a cross check, but nothing more what usually happens in board battles. The difference is that they are usually bracing themselves with their hands so that their face isn’t the first thing hitting the boards. Hard to brace for impact when you’re busy holding a stick behind your back.

My preds have lost 5 home playoff games in a row… which is our longest home playoff loss streak in franchise history (2nd longest was 3). here’s to hoping my boys make it to game 7 too, I’ll be rooting for y’all in game 7

People can bring up the past and the Cliche's but it feels different with Woll in net. I haven't seen any softies from him in the playoffs. Even Freddy was good for a softy per game. I've never fealt good going into a game 7 but this time I do. This must be how the Panthers fealt after squeaking into the playoffs last year. Already written off, no pressure, playing with all house money.
I mean Woll has played, what, only 140 minutes of hockey this playoff? And he's only let in 2 goals in that span, one of which came literally in the last second of the game. Makes sense he hasn't let in any soft goals.
@@maxv658 You don't understand. Andersen, Campbell and Samsonov would let in soft goals every single playoff game. Woll has played 340 minutes of playoff hockey and he's been stellar for all of it. He did play in last years playoffs as well. That sample size isn't nothing.

The amount of times I've had to watch bullshit calls in the playoffs, going either way, I don't even care about what's fair anymore. In the playoffs, it doesn't, even matter. I've seen Boston play dirty all the time, get nothing thrown at them, and still win. So I love to see the Bruins fan whine about refs. What goes around comes around

The missed calls overall have been even. Games 5 and 6 were in heavy favour of the leafs. The NHL wanted this series to go to 7, and the refs made that happen, good for marketing. Game 7 will hopefully be a reset but I'm not going to hold my breath
