@@people3865 Honest to god, look at the spread of Willie's stats pre-contract and post-contract. Marner is good for old doughnuts and Tavares is good for one goal every four to five games. The core takes up roughly half of the Leafs salary cap. You cannot win like this. Auston is the only star you have on Toronto that I trust actually gives a proper fuck about winning. I'm a "maybe" on Reilly.

It's because in the regular season there's bad teams and good teams where the playoffs is just "good" teams
11 straight playoff games scoring 3 or less goals. And in 10 of those, they scored 2 goals or less.

The big one is Carlyle. That Bruins team was 2 years removed from winning the Cup and was about to get back to the Finals. That Leafs team made the playoffs only because there were 48 games due to the lockout and didn't have another 34 to blow it......and they led 4-1 in Game 7 after erasing a 3-1 series lead.
babcock was a pretty good coach, just a terrible human being. i'm glad he's unemployed but facts are facts. all he had to do in columbus was become a half decent person and he couldn't even make it to to training camp lol

I was lucky enough to win tickets to this game, my very first Leafs game, and I got to watch that performance live. Still had a blast, fans were awesome, even met some awesome Boston fans, but common Toronto, DO SOMETHING.

Tavares Nylander Marner and Reilly have a combined 4 points in 4 games.
Nylander missed 3 games for "undisclosed reason". This is why this team sucks. $35m for 4 points in 4 games. Blame Samsonov all you want, but you get what you pay for at Goalie. He's the 28th highest paid goalie in the league for a reason. Meanwhile Tavares and Marner are 6th and 7th top paid forwards in the league and have been completely absent so far.

As much as I dislike march u gotta respect the effort he puts into his team he is always there when they need him the most he is literally the guy. He does absolutely everything and anything to win rather if it's scoring goals, assisting goals, blocking pucks, getting into people's heads, drawing penaltys and heck even cheating. He's gonna do it all to make sure the bruins are on top not 1 single man on the leafs have the heart and work ethic as he does
Matthews had the most blocked shot by a forward this year. The other 3 invisible men no way they would do that, they're too soft.

I agree. Hockey is a sport where force of will and passion alone can sway the balance in your favor over anything, including skill. A decent player who is playing with everything he has will always beat the perfect player who doesn't have his head on straight. Its part of why I love the sport and respect the players. It was difficult to watch the Leafs (even as a Bruins fan). I didn't even enjoy it all that much because i ultimately felt bad for the fans. @DiamondKingVideos Just wanted to add, regarding Marchand, I haven't agreed with every stunt he pulled or his behavior at times but he gives a shit. It's that simple. He wants to win in a visceral way. His vital signs change, etc. But these Leafs act like they are playing a charity game. They clearly don't care about winning and they have very poor chemistry as a team.

the most depressing part (for leaf fans) is that those 2 have the same amount of points as the Leafs top 2 centers. It gets even worse considering how Zacha and Coyle combine for a cap hit of "only" 10mil and Marchand is killing it with 2ppg at a cap hit of 6,1. 16mil cap hit compared to Matthews and Tavares 22,6 mil. Just insane to think about it.

The team's well coached,,plays with structure,,has a good blue-line and good goaltending. Complete opposite to this bullshit in Toronto since Shanny The Man With The Plan took over.

The leafs need to win 3 straight against a team they’re 0-3 against in the playoffs, against a goalie they’re 0-7 against this season all while being on a 0-6 home playoff losing skid, with a team that’s 1-8 in their last 9 playoff series in the past 20 years.

Leafs beat the Bruins in Game 5 in Boston in 2013, 2018 and 2019. I have no faith in the Bruins closing this out in 5 lol

@Kallogee The 2008 Boston Bruins lost all 8 games against the Montreal Canadiens that season where they didn't even have a lead. They were down 3-1 going back to Montreal for Game 5......and smoked them. Then they won one of the greatest games I've ever seen in Game 6 to force Game 7. So yeah, this series is NOT over

I think the Bruins will treat Game 5 like it's a Game 7 and come out hungry to end the series. And we will see the Bruins' desperation once again top the Leafs' desperation.
