My admittedly civilian’s impression is that Singapore’s military has high quality personnel, well trained, with high quality land, air, and naval equipment. The nation knows how to maintain that equipment, unlike many militaries that have fighters and tanks parked, out of service, even in peacetime. That military is large relative to the nation’s population. I’d be shocked if U.S. plans in a regional emergency aren’t to carry out major equipment maintenance to the north in Japan and to the south at Singapore.

My admittedly civilian’s impression is that Singapore’s military has high quality personnel, well trained, with high quality land, air, and naval equipment. The nation knows how to maintain that equipment, unlike many militaries that have fighters and tanks parked, out of service, even in peacetime. That military is large relative to the nation’s population. I’d be shocked if U.S. plans in a regional emergency aren’t to carry out major equipment maintenance to the north in Japan and to the south at Singapore.

I looked this senator up and he apparently graduated from Harvard as well as Harvard Law. I just .... don't know how? Lost me immense respect for the school. I also went to an ivy league school but seriously these legacy donation-backed rich kids getting into these colleges is just such bullshit. Obviously based on how this senator handles himself, he did not deserve to get into these schools.
