Junk Wireless Speaker TO Saved Wired Speaker. "Its OK To Try! Its Already Junk Anyway!" Lets Hack IT

  • In this video we take an old wireless sub woofer that is "Trash" with out its counter part transmitter and hack it to have a wired port! If I had to guess there are a lot of other wireless products that could be done the same... so with that said! Don't be afraid to try something. however if you dont have a clue what your doing... be very careful. you could be dealing with high voltage!! disclaimer! Do this at your own risk! I'm not responsible for any things that may happen!.
    God Bless

    Found one like this at goodwill. Opened it up thinking I could use the amp and sub. The Bluetooth sent me to TH-cam. Thank you for this vid.

    You are my hero. I have a Klipsch R10B sound bar that will randomly stop producing sound until turned off and back on, and I have been searching to see if I could make this exact modification. What's crazy is the R10B uses this exact subwoofer, even the plate amp is the exact same on the inside, just rebranded.

      I have a r20b same thing. I got it done except for the input. Did you figure it out?

      @AMrE4U 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@rwegmuller Yes I got it to work following this video. Although I ended up just bypassing the plate amp and using an external amp to the sub directly.

    dude! finally i found the this video & thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge & insight. i too am a bit of a collector & gatherer of discarded items whether it be the thrift sto, dumpster or side of the road. i am hi-fi audio junkie as well & my arsenal(collection) has several items needing this modification & i am eager make it happen.
    recently a rather hi-end piece has come into the mix but it's missing a key component - maybe i could get your thoughts on a mod to get this baby working. once again, thanks for the video!

    Or, you can do it the easy way:
    1- Cut all 7 leads off of the BT header. Recycle said header. You don't need it anymore.
    2- Connect V+ STB and Link together. You can solder if you want. I just used heat shrink.
    3- Add the connection type of your choice using Out+ as positive and GND as negative pin 3. I used a mono rca header from a Sony sub but anything with +/- leads will do.
    4- Tape off the remaining two leads. Double check for any funny business.
    5- Test bump and put it back together.
    Your welcome. 🤘🏾

    Looking forward to trying this myself on a JBL5.1Bar Subwoofer I found in a local dumpster recently. Of COURSE there was no soundbar with it, or power supply, and I've yet to find anything online for a to use it without the soundbar via Bluetooth😢 so... Next best option is cut out the Bluetooth all together!... and hope jbl didn't find a someway to make it so the subwoofer will only work with the JBL5.1 soundbar via Bluetooth period😂 I'm glad to see a few others doing the same. I hate to see anything go to waste and it's good to see others do to and wish everyone luck on their particular projects!

    All good. No great. But I hear a blown speaker now that you successfully connected the mysterious audio wires.
    I think it's now the time to go with my plane of recycling and rip it all off to get a good set of magnets from the large sub's speakers and surely that will work perfectly in terms of attracting iron. I'm sure son will agree with me too and probably like the plane even better. A really working magnet vs a muffling speaker. But then have fun and cheers.
