砲台跡地と廃墟めぐり!!ぶらり旅 第445回「和歌山県:友ヶ島」-アニメの聖地,フェリー,サマータイムレンダ,絶景,ラピュタの島- Tomogashima,Wakayama

ふらっと出かけた場所を紹介しようと思います。
2024年5月に和歌山県和歌山市にある「友ヶ島」に行きました。

・友ヶ島
紀淡海峡に浮かぶ南国の別天地、友ヶ島は、地ノ島、虎島、神島、沖ノ島の総称名です。
沖ノ島には、要塞時代を偲ばせる砲台跡が点在。
それらをめぐるハイキングコースも開かれています。
純白の姿がコバルトブルーの海に見事に映える洋式灯台、第2砲台跡をはじめ、展望台、第3砲台跡、桟橋をめぐって約2時間30分。
風光明媚な散策コースとしても人気があります。島内中央部の深蛇地では、湿地帯植物が群生しており、約400種もの植物を見ることができます。
植物に興味のある方は是非いちど、足を運んでみてください。
また、古い歴史をもつこの島は、役の行者に始まる修験道にまつわる史跡や行場も現存します。
夏場は家族連れでの磯遊びなどに最適の島です。

旅客運賃：大人　往復2,200円、こども　往復1,100円
運航日：3月1日~～12月末日　水曜のみ運休(水曜が祝日の場合は運航)
1月1日～2月末日　12/29～1/3を除く土日祝のみ運行

I would like to introduce you to the places I went to.
In May 2024, I went to Tomogashima in Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture.
・Tomogashima
Tomogashima, a tropical paradise floating in the Kitan Strait, is the collective name for Jinoshima, Torashima, Kamishima, and Okinoshima.
Okinoshima is dotted with the remains of gun batteries that remind us of the fortress era.
Hiking trails around them are also open.
It takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes to visit the Western-style lighthouse whose pure white appearance stands out beautifully against the cobalt blue sea, the second battery ruins, the observation deck, the third battery ruins, and the pier.
It is also popular as a scenic walking course. Wetland plants grow in clumps in the Mikujachi area in the center of the island, and you can see about 400 species of plants.
If you are interested in plants, please come and visit us.
In addition, this island has a long history, and there are still historical sites and practices related to Shugendo, which began with En no Gyoja.
In the summer, this island is perfect for families to enjoy playing on the beach.
・Tomogashima Kisen
Passenger fare: Adult 2,200 yen round trip, child 1,100 yen round trip
Flight dates: March 1st to the end of December, only closed on Wednesdays (operations will not operate if Wednesday is a holiday)
Operates only on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from January 1st to the end of February, excluding 12/29 to January 3rd.
