We’re looking at purchasing a mid tier range. We were suggested the forno simply based on its performance compared to the others like Thor or zline. Is the jump from a forno to a monogram worth the additional money for avid home cooks? Baking a dutch oven roasting. I do like the attached griddle vs a griddle that sits on top.
@@YaleAppliance1 sales person who makes no commission. He recommended forno over thor and zline based on quality for the money. However we’re considering going high end for the monogram but is that necessary for home cooks compared to the mid tier. Also I keep reading about how loud the monogram is on cooldown, but cannot find a single video showing it.
@@YaleAppliance1 Guess that answers my question. I thought Jenn Air and Thermador’s lower priced 48” ranges were comparable. Think I’ll go with the Thermador all gas oven
Nice to see the $12k Wolf at the start is now $15.5k and the 48" infrared+griddle is 17k. The 36" grill is only $12.5k so I think the choice is made for you :((
A bit off topic but what do you see as to the future of gas ranges? The talk of banning gas ranges makes me uneasy (and a bit irritated to be honest) .... hoping to do a kitchen remodel in the next few years. Do a lot of roasting in the oven and cooking with a cast iron pan on top- I like gas... especially after suffering with an early generation ceramic cook top in our previous home known as the "Three Mile Island Stove". Been starting to do a little appliance "tire kicking" to see what's out there and for an old K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple S....) guy like me I'd have to say not that much. Lots of electronic widgets/ gadgets- if you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance baffle 'em with .... Some of the lower cost professional style gas ranges (Cosmo, Kucht, ZLine etc) seem simple enough but when it comes to service there doesn't really seem to be any. Thank you for what you do .... I've learned a lot from your blogs over the years and when it comes time to actually part with our hard earned $ we'll have a much better chance of winding up with something we'll be happy with.
First thank you. You should be careful with some of the brands you are considering. Look at the specs at least. Gas stoves will diminish but not disappear in my lifetime. The cost of converting to electric for existing stoves is expensive.
I desperately need a duel fuel 48” range replacement, we only have propane available. Have a decor but is in need of replacement. But don’t want to spend over 5000. US, help! Plan is to live here on three years more. TY
Thanks for the great videos, love how informational they are. Any idea if more 48” full induction ranges will be coming into the market this year? Looking to convert from gas to induction but only a couple of brands in this size range and neither have great service in my area.
I agree with some of what this guy says. I have had Thermador professional ranges for about 20 years and they are AWESOME! I don't agree with his bashing of ILVE though, They are hand made in Italy (many others made in China) and are awesome as well! Viking is trash!
Bro, let's think this through, it's a machine that controls fire and convert electric to heat, not a hand bag or leather couch, "hand made in Italy" makes it way worse if anything. I'd take high end machines made in China any day over high-quality artisanal products from western Europe.
I work in appliances and this channel is extremely helpful to learn about specific appliances. Thanks so much for these vids, truly!
Really a great and informative series. Thanks!
Thank you for the video
Thank you for the video 🙏 btw would you recommend for me best gas stove range 48 inch with grilled, 6 burners ?
Thank you. Good info.

Thanks for this - What about JennAir Rise?
I think you can do better.......don't you?

Why is there such a hatred and bias against whirlpool now?

Oof...Not easy. You will have to get a brand like Zline or a pro range looking item. Formo, Bertazzoni, Smeg, etc...
Who can fix a POS Thermador 48 dual fuel in the Huntington Bch. Ca. area?
Don't know.....sorry
You tube it
Please do a review on pizza ovens

The 48 induction available now need some work. BlueStar is talking about one. I am sure more manufacturers will produce them eventually

is Miele brand somehow related to China? I heard Miele has some kinds of China tie. I am about to buy one and Wolf is 4 months out.
Made in Germany
$50k? That's a bargain. Where I live it's about $120k. Import taxes + VAT.
