    You are correct that Lacanche is in between the CornuFe and the Chateau. However, Chateau is soooo much more that I feel it’s a different category all together. Lacanche and CornuFe are a closer comparison. Yes, American ranges have more standard sizes, steam, and stronger BTU. However, I have yet to see one that has the character, beauty, and personality of a Lacanche. I also chose it because it is NOT smart. Unlike an Ilve that completely stops working all together if the clock breaks…the Lacanche can work if we lose power, has parts I can fix myself, so I am less reliant on ever breaking technology and cheap, throwaway parts. Just my two cents on why I chose what I chose.

      You are so right about Ilve....I like Lacanche, but like the others better, but its is a good value at the larger sizes.

      I was heartbroken to read the reviews for ILVE off site of Appliance Connection. It is such a beautiful piece of artistry. What I learned about service for Bluestar : During warranty period call Bluestar, they will dispatch technicians from THEIR chosen service center for your area. The only thing that may snag the service company is the size of your oven. I called the chosen company to make sure they would come to my home if needed. First they said no because they thought two people would need to be dispatched because of how heavy the ovens are. I explained I was getting the 30 inch and I could help if needed. Oh ok, then that's fine. Also, when you order ANY oven that has the igniter go ahead and order extras right away. I was told they are easy for the owner to replace.

    I am Italian and I live in Italy ,I have lacanche range , which I love but to be onest American pro range ovens are much better, brand like Wolf Termadore ( which is not in to the market in Italy ) and Viking ,give more option to oven function and the self cleaning is the cookbest friend .As a style French range have more …charme…colors and style

    I love my Lacanche. I love that it looks as good and functions as well at 10 years old as it will at 75 years old. I took nearly 5 years to decide I wanted to make the investment and I've never regretted doing so; however, I am very glad I did not rush into it. Mine is a Rully (a Cormatin with 2 ovens) which is perfect for my 100-year-old bungalow, but which may feature a smaller oven than Americans expect. I also looked at CornuFe (La Cornue being out of reach for me) but there really is no comparison between Lacanche and CornuFe.
    Fun side note - I visited Lacanche (near Beaune) to see where my range was built. Jean Jacques Augagneur was kind enough to take my friends and me out to lunch after giving us a tour of the factory. Another American couple was visiting their range at the same time. If you do decide to purchase a Lacanche, you may find you develop quite a relationship with it. 🙂

    Realistically, I can't afford to buy either unless I were to win a Lottery, and if I did then I would more likely buy either Cove/SubZero/Wolf or Gaggenau. However, between these two, I would choose Lacanche.

    • @YaleAppliance1
      @YaleAppliance1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dont think either the Lacanche or Cornufe are that much more expensive....

      Wolf/SubZero is most definitely not better and also just as expensive.

    I have always wanted a La Cornue but I have been through many multi-million dollar homes and even at above $5 million and $10 million, I have only ever seen one house with a La Cornue in it. I always found that strange. Almost always it's a Wolf or Viking. My neighbor has an incredible 60 inch Viking in green and gold and while it looks impressive I haven't found it really does anything that special.

      La Cornue needs knowledgeable dealers...much easier selling Wolf.

    So after i pickup my Bentley, these are the choices i have for kitchen ranges.
    Beautiful hardware, but eye watering prices and no it isn't from the onions im cutting up

    • @owenjones-wells9395
      @owenjones-wells9395 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Well price is relative. For me, I love the style and the functions of the Lacanche. The only other option for me would be (in UK) either an AGA or a Rayburn, which are almost twice the price of a Lacanche.
      Of course these are much more than most modern built in oven/hob options, but these lack the style of the Lacanche ranges. I'm not rich by any means, but would happily pay the extra for a Lacanche range.
