Great video. I loved my Wolf and Sub-Zero. The best ever. Also liked Thermador. But W/SZ are tops. Thanks for this informative video! 😊

I'm curious on your thoughts on the Wolf 48" Rangetop (looking at the 6 burner and infrared griddle version). Looks like it's just the rangetop taken from the duel fuel range and I'd expect to be just as good? I'm also curious on your opinion of which you'd rather go for an appliance set with the Wolf 48" Rangetop plus the E series 30" Double ovens and a 24" micro or a Wolf Dual Fuel range with a 24" micro. Personally leaning towards the rangetop and dual ovens thought hat 48" range version seems to be more expensive so curious if the full 48" Range ovens have something special?

Very similar...The dual fuel 48 is similar to the M series in terms of functionality. This depends on how much space you have plus the ergometric of not bending for your wall oven versus centralizing your cooking

Hi. Thanks for this video. I'm building a new custom home and looking to buy entire package from either Thermador or Subzero. Which one should I go for?
My requirements- 42" French Door Refrigerator, 36" Gas Range with Oven, Dishwasher.
    Thanks 😊

SubZero/Wolf is better especially on the refrigerator, but Thermador is less expensive

Off topic, but why do you think more luxury brands aren't offering induction cooktops with knobs like Fridgiare or GE? I personally know a handful of people that refuse to switch to induction just for this reason. I had a Gag induction that was always finicky to use the controls unless they were perfectly clean. And when you're cooking, the glass top tends to be wet and dirty.

I need to know about self cleaning Wolf ovens. I was told a few years ago that I should NOT use the self cleaning feature on a wolf oven as it probably will damage the “Mother board”. I have always wanted Wolf appliances but I need to be able to use the self cleaning feature. Why make a feature on a high end appliance that you can not use? Have they corrected this problem?

    • @YaleAppliance1
      @YaleAppliance1  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

Self cleaning is a "problem" for any manufacturer because it heats the interior to 900 degrees. Thats why you see so many lighter steam cleaning cycles.

Is there a reason why wolf doesn't upgrade the gas ranges like the dual fuel?

Wolf Contemporary Gas Cooktop gives you a powerful 20,000 BTU central burner and it sits flush to the countertop.

I watched and enjoyed every second of this. I've already made my decision on a range and watched purely out of interest and entertainment. Either I am a nerd, I am solidly over 30, or both...it's both. * clicks on Wolf vs. Miele video *

Hi, one quick question. I plan on buying the Wolf dual fuel and I have had a few people tell me to watch for the blue porcelain flaking issue. I looked it up online and there is some people claiming it happened to them. What is the true story. Is this an issue or something that you have seen or need to worry about?

One item I’d like to know more about is the Thermador freestanding. We will be looking for a new fridge in the next couple years and our kitchen isn’t set up for built-in. We have a Thermador & Wolf kitchen now and would like to stick to one of those for the fridge (current fridge is Jenn-Air). The reliability of the Thermador concerns me a little bit because I don’t believe BSH makes it (I think it’s contracted out to a Chinese based manufacturer.)

    • @YaleAppliance1

Definitely the heavyweight main event of kitchen appliance brands.❤
Thermador induction cooktop > Wolf induction cooktop because of flexibility offered by Liberty feature. Despite that, Wolf wins more rounds and is still the champ.

I work for an interior design firm and I really like the Thermador as a slightly more affordable panel front option, but I have been hearing a lot of rumblings about the freezers breaking a lot over the last year. I know you have always had Thermador's reliability very high. Are you seeing the same thing with the freezers breaking down or is it blown out of proportion?

Can Yale ask Wolf why they don't put the same top on their 48" all gas range that they put on the 48" dual fuel or use for their 48" range top?
Also, can Yale do a Subzero vs. True-residental please?

Since Covid BSH/Thermador has imploded as a company. We have been trying to buy a Thermador double oven since April. 2 separate premiere dealers in Texas.... 2 separate horrible BSH experiences. 1st try- Ordered and paid for the oven in April, got the "it's on backorder for next month" run around till it finally arrived in September and exploded on first power on (defective). Dealer/installer techs said it was pretty typical for Thermador post-covid products.... 2nd try : Gave BSH the benefit of the doubt and ordered the replacement from the 2nd premiere dealer in September.... I got the run around again till it was delivered in November..... I unboxed it and found it had been smashed at the factory and put on a pallet anyway. The bottom oven was out of square and the door wouldn't even open anymore. The frame was all smashed... once they removed the bottom doors, the unit had been so badly damaged that the BB bearings for the slide rails had exploded and were all over the inside bottom oven. Installers were baffled as to how a unit could be put on a pallet and boxed up in that condition. Took it away as defective. Meanwhile.., after several calls to Thermador directly, they won't even reply. Thermador is obviously drowning post-COVID; it appears to me they are substituting resource-constrained parts from cheaper Asian suppliers and can't build a quality product anymore.

Thermador's star burner makes a huge difference for center of pan heating, but you are dead on right about the induction burner performance. Steam function is such a nice thing to have access to in the home kitchen. If I were shopping simply on looks, I think I prefer Wolf products.
I think you did the Cove dirty because you admit its a better dishwasher lol.

If you are thinking about buying a thermador product please think again. We recently built a house and decided to splurge and buy thermador appliances for the house and Samsung for the suite.
Have had nothing but problems with the Thermador appliances which cost little more than 3 times the Samsung products.. Their customer service is the worst I have ever come across in how rude they are. Warranty service is one big run around. In a million years I was not expecting to buy a brand like Thermador and be so disappointed. We basically gave up on their dishwasher after 18 months and replaced it with another Samsung but am filing documents with small claims to get compensated for the god awful stovetop induction unit. Save money and a whole lot of headache and heartache and get yourself something that works

im very confused as to why btus are anything relevant besides people who want to use a wok lol like i dont see how more heat is going to help 98 percent of what people do. searing a steak? eh maybe but a cast iron pan can do that on any range, i just dont get it unless its for a wok or i guess giant stock pots?

The Thermador speed oven appliance is catastrophically bad... it ruins your entire kitchen. It's like a Fisher-Price appliance. I would assume that this appliance was produced by junior marketing interns without proper oversight by real product managers. This is a product so bad that I'd recommend Wolf for everything. I have massive regret for choosing Thermador. True garbage. You take your own chances folks.
