      Hello Filipina pea.
      How are you doing today?
I have two quick curious questions about the cost of food in the Philippines. ( Specifically in the Bulacan provinces)
Is it true that food is cheap to buy by USD? (Getting more quantity over quality)
And is there a website online that gives you the latest update or better picture on prices on food over there?

Thank for asking Brandon! Typically, food in the grocery store is equal to (and sometimes a little higher) than in the west, but food at the local public markets can often be purchased WAY less than anywhere else, but with very limited selections. As far as I know, there’s no database of food prices, though 😔

I married my filipina at age 52 and now three years married, i am one truly blessed man! I will just point one thing out I believe filipinas have over western women, that is filipinas seem to have the two ingredients for lasting love, that being commitment and dedication, characteristics I share as well. I know there are snakes in all cultures, but if you are blessed to find a good filipina you are blessed indeed. I won't even get into the beauty of a filipina. I am a permanent resident in the Philippines and don't plan to ever reside anywhere else. Great videos Pea I enjoy them :-)

I've been married to a Filipina lady for over 12 years and over the years I've been patient and understanding with her insecurities knowing she was in a different culture and country! And have always treated her with respect and kindness!! I could care less what her bra size is or if there's some junk in the trunk, I measure her how she treats me and what's in her heart NOT how fancy she looks!! I'm proud of her and her achievements adapting to our culture and I wouldn't think of measuring her up to an American woman!!! There's NO comparison in my book!! After being married to two different American woman for a total of 40 years, SHE WINS HANDS DOWN!! I'm in my "Golden years" now and she takes care of me like a king!! I want for nothing and couldn't have found a more loving woman!! God truly blessed me!! My last step in life will be moving over to her country which I've been to twice, and set her up in her own home which she owns and where I can draw my last breath smiling, quietly, with her loving family there to watch over her after I'm gone!! And by the way I'm Not "diluted" In my thinking!! She deserves this as she's the ONLY woman that has ever treated me with love and respect ever in my life!! (Hands Down) American woman just don't get it!! sorry, but from day one they've always been demanding, selfish, immature and self centered!! Even though I busted my ass to provide all their needs, I always came in last!! The Lord has truly blessed me and my prayers to him always reflect that!!..........

I'm Aussie, married to a Filipina who is a native Higaonon tribeswoman in Mindanao, and living in Cagayan de Oro with her. She is a fluent speaker of English and five Filipino languages. She is 56 years old, and I am 64. She had 7 daughters with her first husband, a Filipino, who died n 1999 aged only 34. She was pregnant just after she turned 17. After my first wife died in Australia in 2015, I met her sister in my hometown, and she introduced us. Her second husband, an American 22 years older than her, had suffered a stroke in 2010, was bedridden, and she nursed him until he died in late 2016. When we first chatted she told me her story, and I told her mine, and our relationship blossomed quickly, communicators. We met online in March 2017, she came to me in Australia in late April 2017, and we married there in June 2017. I realized she wanted to work but could not do so in Australia, and she had trouble with the cold winters where I lived. So I decided to retire and move to the Philippines with her. We have a small house and she runs a family business producing made-to-order furniture. Her five surviving daughters have one son and five daughters of their own between them. My wife looks more like 40 than 56. She is 5 feet 2 inches and actually her breast size is in the Caucasian range (somewhere close to D). She has beautiful "small eyes", a round face and a small nose. Yes, she has dark armpits and some hair on the upper lip, and all her teeth are false. So what? It's the heart that really matters in the end! She is loyal to a tee, hard working, and always helps those worse off than her when she can. We are too old for more children, and our relationship is not based on sex. I have copped the occasional flak online from Aussie guys who say "Why are you in the Philippines? Couldn't get an Aussie hey?". I love my wife, she loves me, and we both changed our lives to be together. QED!

She has even thought she was ugly because of the cultural stigmas you talked about. I remind her how beautiful she is daily even when I showed her pictures to my American coworkers they thought she was beautiful as well and I told her that. I must've REALLY been blessed when I met my asawa then; the night we met she was upfront with me about her past -- her ENTIRE past. That she had a child out of wedlock to a Filipino, based on the typical false promises. That she'd had her share of boyfriends -- three steadies altogether, I was the fourth. And one thing she and I both had in common -- being so tired of having our hearts broken we weren't looking for anyone at all. Such an irony that only four months later we were married -- with a LOT to learn about each other, but it wasn't for lack of knowledge about each other's past. I guess her honesty -- or perhaps OUR honesty -- set the stage for a successful marriage of 42 years. May God rest her soul.

A different perspective: my wife and her filipina friends went on a road trip to Dallas to go shopping, about a 300 mile total trip. All the other husbands kept calling their wives to see when they would be home. At 9:30 I laid down on the couch and fell asleep.Next morning Gerda told me about the calls and asked why I didn't call. Honey, I trust you and knew you'd be home when you got home. If something happened you would have called me.Why stress over something that shouldn't be stressed over? I'm almost 60 and Honey is 48. Not kids anymore and trust has been earned.

Okay, my wife and I enjoyed this like we enjoy so many of your videos. That said, we found your examples a bit weird. The armpit thing especially. My Filipina looked at me and said, WHAT? Now, admittedly my wife and I are not your typical Filipina / Western man relationship. That we will both readily admit.
We met at the UCSD. She an Accounting and Finance student and me, an EE student. But, she is a Filipina born and raised in the Philippines.
Not just that, she was a girl raised in The Province. She's from Negros Oriental. The very first College Graduate in her family. The entire family sacrificed for her. Recognizing her potential and all pitching in to support it. When she applied for and was granted a full scholarship to UCSD based on her academics her family was in shock. But, she was still a young Filipina from The Province.
And, getting that young, intelligent girl to let down her guard took quite a bit of persistence. She was so shy it was something I had never encountered before. I thought, how can a girl with so much intelligence be so shy and demure? I discovered it was my uniform. I was an ROTC student. Specifically, Marine ROTC. She was fascinated AND totally intimidated.
Long story short, my Filipina became an incredibly accomplished professional. A Corporate CFO here in the USA. And, the wife of a career military man and mother of 4 children. And, she will tell anyone who listens that as a child growing up in The Province she never ever imagined such a thing was ever possible.
I am one very Proud and Lucky man to have been so fortunate to have met and married this incredible Filipina from The Province.

Thanks for making this video. It helped me understand what happened to break off a serious relationship I had. It wasn't with a Filipina, but I think your perspectives, or at least some, apply far more broadly than just Fiipinas. It's almost like you were saying the exact words my ex said, in terms of fearing I'd leave her. I wanted to offer a counter perspective addressing what you said about "fear nothing much prevents [a guy] leaving for another new option." There are many reasons a guy wouldn't leave. The biggest is (some) guys can recognize and respect loyalty plus sacrifice. Guys and girls have inverse power when it comes to age. Girls have the most power when they're young, and this decreases as they age. With guys it's the opposite, since the older a guy is (before being too old) the more wisdom, resources, and ability he likely has. So when a female 'gives herself' to a guy the guy often values that especially if he isn't yet well established. Quality and caring guys would continue valuing and respecting that even as both people aged. Second, nobody can turn back the clock on life experiences. So a guy knows he can never have the same experience with someone else because he will age and change all his circumstances (and abilities) as time goes on. That means that regardless of his female partner aging, she remains in his mind for experiences at key times of his life. No new replacement could do that. Not all guys are the same, though. I'm sure there is some good reason to have that "replacement fear" for females. That's why it's important females choose wisely. Some personality types are less likely to hop around than others.

A few years back I went into a coffee shop . The server was a Filipina who had limited English , obviously very recently in canada , it was -30 degree's that day and I asked how long she had been in this country. She replied ,10 days , quite a temp shock . Being old enough to be her grandfather I didn't feel that she would feel I was to forward if I engaged in conversation I chatted with her about her coming to this country , and she told me she came to get married . I remarked on her having a fiance , and she said she had not met anyone yet , so I told her I thought it might take a bit longer than the 6 months before her visa ran out to meet, fall in love and marry. She replied that she was going to meet someone and marry , and he would never have reason to regret it , that she would learn to love him , but it was not necessary beforehand . Couple years later I ran into her in a grocery store , with a big , bearded Caucasian guy he was pushing a baby carriage and she was expecting another . The guy looked very content and paternal and I thought she was making him the happiest man on earth. On a side note in the same store that day I saw 2 other Filipina women , with Canadian husband's , all looked like it was love . My stepson has had some poor relationships , and my wife keeps saying that she wishes he and our daughter would just meet some nice partner from the Philippines . She thinks that a spouse from there is the best chance of happiness

I married a Filipina 4 years older than me, the differences in culture was a blast, so many things to learn and discover. After 30 years and one child together I would do it all over again.
Our relationship has been based on respect for each others, great communication and sex being great but not the apogee of our love. I have seen her grow from a shy girl to an incredible business woman successfully operating 5 businesses over the years. Today most people believe I am with a younger girl by 20 years at least and are shocked with disbelief when she reveals her age. My observation about filipino women is that they are extremely family oriented, strong, hard working, to the point and loving. I dont envy my Canadian friends relationship one bit. Oh yes, almost forgot, I still dont eat adidas, helmets and ballout but the rest of the cuisine is awesome. My love for her has no bound.

There are downsides. As she said in the video, a lot of filipina women cheat, are very jealous of your female friends and how you spend your time when she's not there, culture clashes are very real thing, and it's very hard at first to find things to talk about so be prepared for some very awkward dates. Most importantly, if you marry a filipina, you marry her whole family, which often means being the pension plan for her unemployed mother and alcoholic father [that's quite common in poor families here], and the main source of income for her five unemployed siblings, their partners and their children. That really is a thing. Unless you're wealthy [by Western standards] and can afford to be her whole family's breadbasket and medical insurance, your best bet is to date a Filipina who is cosmopolitan, relatively well-travelled and middle class who doesn't need your money, but if you're 50 and want to date a twenty-something, a girl like that won't be very interested in you. Filipinas are very committed to the family, which means the needs of her parents, grandparents and siblings and nephews/nieces are likely to come before yours even if she genuinely loves you. It's common for the Filipinas relatives to take advantage and try and exploit as much as possible from her Western bf/husband and become increasingly greedy, and the Filipina is in a very difficult situation, under pressure to give her family what they demand, and under pressure from her partner to stop giving their money away to relatives, especially if they're lazy or have alcohol or gambling addictions.

the one thing I realize some of us Western men have in common with Filipinas. Many of us have been used, taken advantage of, and then discarded by women in the West that makes us apprehensive to make a commitment to a Filipina. In our mind, "why would someone so beautiful want to stay with me?" using American standards, we have little money, we have flaws that cannot be hidden, we are basically discarded goods. So when quite possibly the most beautiful girl you have ever dated (not judged by blindness of love, look at photos LOL) says they want a forever relationship with you, a Western man can get scared. "is it happening again, how long before as Pea put it, a shiny new model is on the lot?" Leaving you lighter in the wallet and emptier in the heart. As an amputee it is my greatest fear. That one morning, a younger, wealthier, healthier stallion will entice that love and she will walk away. But it's a fear I must overcome, because the only way to never have your heart broken is to never risk it in the first place. That's creates an even emptier life.

I agree LC, Also if you bring a Pinay to US it can be a mistake, unless she REALLY loves you. That's what happened to me. After being here a while and connected with Pinay friends, a job, etc. it was over. We had are difficulties and hoped we could get better, but I am permanently just a friend because I can't compete with the younger richer men here: I'm 61, she's 41 and dating a 50ish guy. I trusted she loved me but I'm not so sure. I think of going to PH and try again but I'm like you. I'm not sure, I have some money and stability but a younger expat come along and she may be gone. Unless she REALLY loves me...but is it me or what I can do for her. I understand the security and money are part of why a woman would want me but is it ME at all? That's what haunts me and I fear always will.

  • @DefendUSA1776
    @DefendUSA1776 4 ปีที่แล้ว +13

I ended up breaking up with the Filipina that I went to PH to meet.
I did not give her a son, she had one already. She was not 30, she was 26. I did not compare her to other models and I do not think she did that to me.
What brought us to the end was the fact that she became too comfortable. She thought she could manipulate me and get her way in everything. She used tampo as a weapon.
I warned her many times and gave her more chances than I should have, because the immigration process was more complex than I imagined.
So I fell short and I thought maybe that was aggravating her. She pushed me too far and I was like: Bye.
I must disagree about true love. It is not something that you find. It is something that two people build together when they have a dedication to the relationship they are trying to build together.
One day I will find the right one. It is just a question of if I will find her online while I still live in the USA or if I will be living in PH when I find her.
The pandemic has made things harder than normal. A lot more scammers than I remember, plus people that are truly in need (I am sure).

Know that in America, the Women freak when they see an American Man look to Asia for a Woman and Wife. The competition shows up their own inadequacies. I was fired when my white female boss found out that I was dating a Filipina from a neighboring department. I was a Supervisor in an Insurance company and a week earlier was told how important I was to the department. I also body guarded that lady to and from her car after having to terminate some guy. Losing that job was a real hardship but that Filipina from Pangasinan kept me going; we married.- she is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Her family was already here when we met and they have been great too.

Agreed, I've been to England and British English is so much different from American English. You can understand what each other is saying but sometimes there are differences in actual meanings of the exact same words. In England to knock someone up is to call them or knock on their door, in America it means to get them pregnant so imagine the embarrassment an American coworker of mine had when her British boyfriend asked her what time to knock her up the next morning.😁😉👍

I haven't heard someone say "good on you " except that we have friends in Australia and picked it up here in America from talking to them.
I love a good ozzy accent. And Irish and Scottish work well for me too. I find cultures to be something very worth studying.
I do like the filipina accent also.
I am so tired of western women and their petty jealousy.
It's killed my relationships in the past.
      I'm loyal to a fault.
It's like western women use me and dump me and make me pay child support.
I'm really ready for a good woman in my life.
      Maybe this is the way.

So much love in my heart for her O.M.G. alot you say is so true but there is still Love for our cultures when we work on the perfect marriage that is yet to be. Dearest Pea, thank you for another amazing video post. I have spent some time while in the Navy at Subic in your amazing country. While at the time we were "under orders" not to marry or even say "I love you" to a Filipina (constituted a verbal contract), i did meet and spend virtually all of my off time with an amazing Filipina and her family. I was very respectful to her and to her family and when i got back on the boat and headed back to the US, im sure i broke her heart as much as mine was broke. I went back to Olongapo to find her some time before the mountain erupted, but was told she had married a service man from Clark and went home with him. Not marrying her has been my biggest regret. As you can see, some thirty years later, I still think of her. I am certain i would have had an amazing life with her. To use an analagy from your post, now i am the Ford Pinto and the Filipina is the Lexus...what i wouldnt give for a small breasted, chicken skin underarmed, committed, loyal, traditional Christian Filipina now.

Isn’t there still time for you to find one?

    • @macnachten8822
      @macnachten8822 ปีที่แล้ว

I'm sure there is still time, but it'll take me close to a year before I can arrive again in the PI. Once there, it would take nearly a year for that "one" Filipina to "present" herself...it's like looking for a lost key, search and search all you want, but when you've actually given up the search - poof! There it (or she) is. The right woman is not a series of boxes one must check off to find. The right one, regardless of age, background, or even location is the one who already naturally "is the right one".
I am a Christ believing Christian who takes every word of God's word seriously. So right off, I'm not the usual American, at 60, I have a body count you can number on one hand have not been with a woman in 13 years, I take fidelity, loyalty and commitment extremely seriously. That woman would hold to the same beliefs as I do, have a body count as low or lower than mine, shift her loyalty to me over all others (as I would her). Finding THAT Filipina would be difficult, and I'm not certain achievable.
If the global economy does not collapse between now and May of next year, I'll bring a substantial foreign investment to the Philippines and establish a Mariner High School, a Maritime Academy, a Shipping Company and a Shipbuilding yard. Filipinos are 32.6% of the world's mariners and are the lowest paid. I intend to change that through education and experience providing the means for true value and advancement on the high seas that is rewarded with proper pay, services and recognition for abilities. While I am implementing my vision for the Filipino Mariner, I'll travel the provences in search of the Philippines next generation of Merchant Marine, should I also find my Filipina at the same time, so be it. But if it happens, it will be organically and not in a desperate attempt to squelch the loneliness I feel without that necessary partner and wife....so, a nice long answer for your question about time.

The fear thing is interesting. At my old job i was in charge of compliance to reporting to a corporate environmental standard. I needed to interact with offices all over the world and each office needed to interpret the same set of rules. It was the Philippine office that had the harshest interpretation of the rules, themselves imposing rules that tried to prevent any and all stepping outside the lines outlined by original rules. It always made for a difficult 2 days, because of the time difference between Eastern time and Philippines and the Philippine office asking for at least 2 revisions to the submission. I get catholic guilt, but that was just ridiculous, because every other office was just fine with what we submitted. The fear of future trouble was ridiculous.

The Filipina Pea, I have watched way too many videos about how the Filipina’s present themselves to a Foreigner. Putting on makeup to be as light skinned as possible. And wearing long sleeve shirts so that they don’t tan or get dark skin. Personally, I prefer a Filipina with dark skin, that’s part of the attraction to the Filipina Ladies. With that said, Foreigner men have some kind of a past, from their western worlds. Weather it be divorced with children. Or just divorced. And some unfortunately are just out for themselves. But not all are out for themselves believe it or not. I don’t know the percentages. But, looking at the videos in some of the cities, I can see why some of the Filipina ladies would have a bad opinion about most foreigners in general. Just note, that not all foreigners go to the Philippines to take advantage of the Filipina Ladies. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and videos, I’ve learned quite a lot from listening to you and from experience as well. Please continue to share your videos. You actually teach some of us some great information.

It is not only Filipinas that Pea speaks of. My wonderful Chamorritta partner was the exact same insecurities. Her past and saving face was a hurdle we faced (no pun intended) together. I was the first man of any culture or country to see who she was in her eyes. Her physical insecurities came from what men told her to degrade her or bypass their own flaws. She used to believe the dark armpits, the long neck, the "masculine back" from her years of farming and hard labor, the small breasts, and all that other stuff. I learned that it's not nonsense to her mind and well-being. It took her a long time to truly believe that even a foreigner, let alone a man, can be true to our emotions and words when we say we are in love. Pea, please keep up with your videos. Your words and inspiration, and forthright candid talk brings our world closer. Any partner that hasn't already "taken you off the market" is a fool in my opinion. =D
