If you still have the headphones - try disabling the microphone of the headphones in Windows audio devices to fix sound quality over USB. It's possible that these headphones detect that windows tries to use them as default communications device and switches a sound profile to call mode.
My old PXC 550 does this and I have to disable them as audio input to fix this.
You could also switch to different input and it usually helps but you will probably have to do this every time you connect them to the PC. So I just disable the mic.
That is interesting, it does seem to change things a bit, but not fully solve the issue for my set,
Hello, I stumbled upon one of your written reviews for the iFi iDefender plus (2 years old). You mentioned using it with an Audient EVO 4 but it didn't work well, I was wondering what your experience was? I have an EVO 4 and getting alot of GPU/CPU noise with guitars.
iFi iDefender does not work for Evo 4, it does not remove the noise, most likely the noise is coming from somewhere else and not from a problem in the design of EVO 4

Ah, in that situation it shoudl help! I have some noise on some USB ports, and others don't have noise, so it may be a motherboard issue, situation in which the iDefender might help
well i really want these but im mainly gonna use them wired is it actually worse? im still gonna use amplifiers and tune them
From what I understand from other users, the wired sound might be better after the latest update they got. If you want a good basshead headphone, I can recommend something different, like OLLO S5X!

Thank you! I think the problem is the ADC or Analog to digital, which processes the signal for the analog cable, and for the digital one, I honestly am not sure
They are made to be wireless and not wired. That is why.
They are better when they are turned on and plugged in
I have these and I love them. The battery life is insanely good. Only downside is they get kinda hot on your ears after a while. But that's impossible to avoid because they are closed-backed.

How versatile are these headphones? I want to use them both wired at home (games, music on PC, video, etc.), and use them wirelessly with a phone outside the home
My pair sounded much better for wireless, than wired. So I am not sure what to say, I would get two different headphones if possible

Transmitter makes no difference, in Bluetooth, if the signal is strong enough, it will sound great. Smartphones usually have strong antennas so a transmitter wouldn't really improve the sound
The USB transmitter can help with PCs. With my WIndows 10 laptop using BLuetooth, it pretty consistently picked the low bandwidth connectioin for music. When I used the USB transmitter, it was much better about using high bandwidth for music, and only switching to low bandwidth when I was using the microphone such as for Zoom or MS Teams calls.
Bluetooth on my phone didn't have any issues.
I found the audio quality to be great when using the wired connection. These sounds leaps and bounds better than $50 headphones from wallyworld.
They were turned off when you listened to them wired?
They had automatic behavior, tired to leave them on before connecting the cable and turning off before connecting the cable , results were fairly similar

So some units are defectine while others work alright. No AMP, they use their internal AMP, the pair is scuffed if this happens, and some comments indicate that there are pairs that have zero issues, would try to get it replace if i were you
Wired not so Great … not true! I use an AudioQuest Dragonfly on my iMac and the sound is very good in lossless up to 192 KHz
I also spoke with Sennheiser, seems there have been a couple headphones with some problems and most users will have a better experience. Still, it is better that I povide a warning and users get a good experience rather than me saying it is all fine and users having a poor experience

Refrain from buying this headphone as they have lot of bugs - hissing sound with anc on, auto mute in the middle of a meeting. Sound quality is good but at this price point it should perform as an all rounder.
Really sorry to hear you're having issues, you should try contacting Sennheiser, they are awesome at fixing things, and those should not have the bugs you mention, so it is likely the pair is defective and needs replacement

You mean reset the headphones? Keep the power button pressed for a long while, it should clear up

@@AudiophileHeaven it does have all the codec, I mean when you go into the app Sennheiser smart control app it allows you to opt high quality sound option for that it says to restart the headphones.
@@thatpanglossianguy8552 Ahhh, the app is supposed to do that automatically......... Just turn them on and off, and it should work. Otherwise, the app is still buggy.
Any driver imbalance?
None that I can hear
i feel like mine have a driver sound imbalance, is the imbalance real?, or am I going crazy??
I just got mine and notice the right it louder than the left, I've seen alot of people have the same experience
@@Legiey i sent them to sennheiser technicians and they did basic shit to check if there was any driver imbalance, they said they were totally right and in my country the refunds work only if the headphone are damaged. However, i still notice the driver imbalance but well i try not to think much about it
@diegooutkey6394 I actually got mine refurbished. They were never actually used, I'm getting a refund, but man it drives me crazy
They are low volume to me. My Senheiser 3 earbuds are extremely louder.
Please check with Sennheiser, they should not have a quieter volume over bluetooth
