I literally just picked this up like 20 minutes ago, I’m about 99 hours deep and I’m still finding new stuff, lol
400 hours in and I just completed the game, ur in for a treat man

@@alexaustonjr119 do a ward playthrough and/or pacifist/non-pacifist run depending on what you did the first time. Best thing to do in this game if you're doing a 2nd run is to just make the opposite choices you made the first time. Or if you know what you need to do at a later point do it early and see if dialogue changes. Just use your gamer sense and do crazy stuff
56h in an i just had a random Monolith soldier drop a Gauss Gun.

That was my first play through, literally used that unique scoped AK from second side quest all the way up to Yaniv, then I switched to this magnificent beast
There is no (best) weapon, all weapons have her Pros and contras. Its just what everyone prefers. I played mostly of the game with the gp37 or G36
Me using skiffs pistol and only skiffs pistol because it has 0 carry weight 😅,
I either run away from mutants or use shotguns I find while roaming b4 dumping after each fight cuz durability goes from yellow to red in a dingle fight 😅

@thejmorse90 technically no although for the firshr30hrs yes but at somepoint trying to kill mutants constantly with it even with ap round just took to much ammo and I'd run out having to resort to using weapons I find. But I only leave base with skiffs
One of my favorite aspects of Stalker games is getting rewarded for exploring stuff
What rewards? The same stick of sausage, bottle of water beer or vodka, a can of food or condensed milk, and maybeeeeee an attachment lmfao? The loot in this games shit.
Oh and the same guns you’ve seen countless times through the game with maybe an a scope on it, and the same shitty ammo.

Shoots 5.45 or 5.56 and can have an under barrel shotgun. It's stupid versatile, highly recommend the weapon

I think the Trophy is a little better than the Kharod. It has pretty much the same stats but with higher power and less recoil.
That's also a good rifle, but I've never found enough ammo to make it worth it.
@@negativecacti i just buy the ammo for it every time I'm at a store. It's hard to run out if you stack up. Especially because I never use full auto on any of the weapons I use. Later in the game, it's a pretty common ammo to find as well.

Playing on veteran, 143 hours of gameplay, I’ve explored nearly everywhere and just now decided to progress into Pripyat. The Saiga, Dnipro, and Gauss rifle (obtained from the scientist side mission) are my go to weapons.
My most used is the "Fustercluck" AR416 Assault Rifle. Carried me to Prypiat and will carry me to the end.
AR416 with the drum mag is what I’m currently using with the Saiga.
@AdemNBTR saiga is great, but i prever the texan shotgun.

I’ve been using a rhino for a majority of my second playthrough and it’s amazing. Kills every mutant and human with ease while not consuming a lot of ammo

I've tried both and still like the kharod better. Really its just personal choice at that point because they are extremely close in performance.
7.62 Dnipro for endgame is my favorite, I always have enough ammo saved up on all my playthrough by the endgame comes around.
@@LoneDeeeeeeed Literaly i fear to upgrade on 7,62, after Buged Personal orange box, I must take all stuff from it under 3 seconds for NO crash game and i had over 8 full stcks of 7,62 and did that upgrade and it is literaly 3* better than Kharod (better accuracy, more better DMG and more important for the poor(not me bcs cca over 18 000 000 coupons, honestly earned during missions from selling artifacts and loot such as unnecessary medications, extra food, and all the weapons and suits I didn't want to keep, including the heavily damaged ones with the red cracked shield) is little lower repair prize and little bigger durability.
Lot of people say krarod better bcs underbarel attachments, but m203 grenades are uncommon (you can literaly buy more Gauss ammo than this grenage in one trader cyclus before they reulod theyr inventory), that underbarel shotgun have only 4 or 5 shots with long time reloading.
I use grenades very rare in specific situation or places (Yesterday I sell over 1200 RGD-5, over 400 F1, 330 for VOG-25 and only around 120 for M203) and best shotgun for me is Saiga with extended magazine on 12 shots + 1 in barrel with open colimator and I named her "Pink Mist Generator".
Even though the “Holemaker” under barrel shotgun has only 4 shots, or 5 with one in the chamber. It fires as fast as the Saiga AND it doesn’t take durability from your weapon. So that’s a big win especially for someone that worries too much about weapon durability.
I've been using the Trophy for a while now, and it's been my favorite weapon. It's so good. It has almost the same stats as the Kharod but with slightly higher power

Żubr-19 is better for me :) but i found Clusterfuck and didnt tested it. Its sniper version of AR416, way better stats and 30 mag clip (or more , didnt foun extended magazine for AR416 yet)

Rechambered Kharod is best vs. armored foes on medium ranges
Favourite weapon is the vss vintorez. Supressed fully automatic and accurate to a range of 300m with an 8x scope 👌
Penetration is the stat you want to focus on your weapon stats
Dnipro with full upgrades have better stats than Kharod, have better armor pierce, more damage, better acuracy and have more magazine upgrade too.
No. It either has lower pen or lower damage but Dnipro and Kharod are interchangeable. One isn't strictly better than the other.

Have sold so many of these, it can't beat a clipped ammo shotgun, the reloading is fast, and power, two shots vs 10.
Never used it once. Probably because it can’t take a grenade launcher…or I assumed it can’t because of how short that bottom rail is. I almost exclusively run rifles with grenade launchers because how useful they are when running into bigger mutants or groups of enemy stalkers. I’ve mostly used the GK36 (GB33) sometimes if ammo becomes scarce I’ll switch to the kitted out “Combatant” or a kitted out…whatever that bulpup with the built in grenade launcher is called. Tho recently I did find a cool AR15 with a Scope and suppresser that will take a grenade launcher called “CLUSTERFUCK”.

Everyone needs to try the Grom-15! It's uses 5.45 so it's ammo is basically free, and it's penetration is almost on par with the Kharod!

Definitely my fav gun along the Saiga. Can't go wrong with 2 scopes, an underbarrel shotty and g.launcher.
No matter the stats, I will always be in love with the G36
Rat Killer is totally underrated imo. Uses 9*18, hard to run out of ammo and is viable till the end.

It's very good but I HIGHLY recommend the Dnipro converted to 762 x 39. This weapon also takes the 45 round and double stacked AK74 mags. Not only that but the standard 762 round has as much if not more stopping power than the 556 AP rounds. The ammunition weighs a lot more but once you have an exo suit you shouldn't let that be a problem. Good hunting Stalkers.
I always roll with any variant of sniper, typically the Super and a saiga. Never really mess with assault rifles.

The dnipro in my opinion is a much better choice for the simple fact ammo is more common and weighs less. I think if you have it fully upgraded it outperforms in penetration and range or accuracy, I forget.
Trophy best gun in my opinion, especially with 30 round mag 9x39 with ap is nearly max pen

I honestly like the Dnipro more once it’s upgraded to 7.62. Although 7.62x39 seems to be the most rare ammo type.

Because it uses M855A1 5.56x45 ammunition. The newest anti-armor ammo with much better ballistics than M855. The M855A1 projectile uses a solid copper slug with a steel or tungsten arrowhead instead of copper jacket lead with a steel pin insert. Even the propellant is more advanced.
I usually mix my load outs either going full 9x39 with "the trophy" and rhino

ehh the shotgun from the arena with either slugs or darts pretty much nails everything to the ground at close to mid range and anything longer than that I use the upgraded doctor sniper - shoots fast hits hard also nails everything I land the headshot on

Hey is it worth buying an Xbox series x (whatever the better one is) to play stalker/other exclusives? I have a ps5 and I don’t play those exclusives and it feels like every time a new game comes out or is announced it’s a Microsoft owned studio/publisher so I can’t play

I'm about 75% through the game on a series-s, it does play smoothly 95% of the game. But, GSC had to run bottom of the drawer graphics setting to achieve that. On the S Xbox it looks like I'm playing SOC 2009 Complete way back in the day. Perhaps the series X might be better on the visuals? What I can tell you is, that "The last of Us" on a PS4 looked better than most of HOC on a series S console! This game looks much better on a powerful PC with a $700 graphics card!

@@xxxxxxxxxx6903 I get that. But at this point, it doesn't make a lot of sense anymore. A lot of developers have complained about developing for it. Because it forces them to build around the minimum spec for multi platform games. Rather than focusing on Series X and PS5, which are very similar and fairly capable machines.

I have both fully upgraded and Dnipro drops a bit quicker but kharod is like 100% easier to aim and click on heads with esp at range the kharod can be a dmr damn near
I find both guns good. It's just what style you prefer. Bullpup or regular.

When you realise Rhino is an all powerfull handcannon almost twice as cost effective as a slug 12 gauge and skiff piece with ap bullet is cheap af and good enough for all criters it kind of make all other weapons in the game irrelevant apart from the gun play feeling the alternatives provides...

Dnipro 2 tap headshots exosuit monoliths with standard ammo and has way better durability lmao. It’s not even close. As of me writing this comment the weapons are super unbalanced tho so that might be why.
