Cheers Andrew! Coffey Grain is one of the few other widely available in the US, JSLMA-compliant Japanese Whiskies under $100! I prefer the Coffey Malt (as you know from my review video) but both are a solid choice! Kanpai!
I appreciate that a lot of work went into the superb editing for this great vid showcasing some very nice Japanese whiskies under $100 for Christmas! As you mentioned, I recommend everyone to follow up and watch each and every individual review for a deeper dive into each offering before buying. I might suggest Tsunuki bumping out Toki so Mars whisky also gets a mention. But not much to complain about here! An excellent presentation. Merry Christmas, everyone!
Sadly, Tsunuki is not officially available in the US for under $100 a bottle. So unfortunately it would not fit the criteria of the video. And Toki was just a bonus for people who don't want to spend on Hibiki. And thanks to your comments on the editing. This one did indeed take a while, but they all do!
Great video Mac. Right now Yoichi and Miyagikio are both $75 where I shop and I agree that they should be bought and enjoyed together as the yin & yang of Nikka.

Great vid Mac! It overperformed by giving more content! I was pleasantly surprised by the new Nikka Frontier, which also has a good price point but may not qualify as a true Japanese Whisky.
Nika coffey malt and coffey grain are great choices and you can blend the two. Mars Cosmo and Kasai are also pretty good. Ichiro's Malt and Grain White label is pretty good but it's hard to find it at $75. There is also the US exclusive Ichiro's malt and grain 111. I haven't got to try it but it's under $100. Suntory AO and Legent are pretty decent.
Since this year there is a standard what constitutes *Japanese Whisky*. None of the whiskys you listed comply with this standard and are therefore not "Japanese Whisky". All the whiskys in the video comply with the standard and are therefore genuine "Japanese Whiskys". The honest Japanese producers label products that don't fall under the standard as "World Whisky".
Thanks for watching and commenting! As another view has pointed out, none of the whiskies you have listed EXCEPT Nikka Coffey Grain qualify as real Japanese Whisky under the JSLMA standard. Doesn't mean some of them are not tasty though. I've reviewed the Coffeys, Ao and Ichiro's White Label on Kanpai Planet so please check those videos out. Kanpai!
I always tell my friends to get Ichiro White label if they want to try japanese style whiskey ubder $100, i know it is not japanese whiskey but it is better than most of like japanese whiskey in that price range, i love Chichibu but i dont think i can get any at reasonable price in the states 😢

Nikka Frontier is indeed not Japanese Whisky but I too have been pleasantly surprised by it. Worthy of a video do you think?
