I think that this is one of the best game about war for the simple fact that does not glorify the war, but take count of the courage and the stress that all of the soldiers went through, the fact that stress, vengeance etc creates the same reaction that you see at the beginning from your enemies, when they were the attackers, it's a brilliant depiction of war, but I know it can be better
Everything that was asked of us we've done, every night we lay in a filthy foxhole, praying the enemy won't slit our throats. Every day we spent crawling through the mud and the dirt while bullets whistle all around. This is the enemy's last stand. When we take Shuri Castle we go home. All of us. We're all numbed by Sullivan's death. We just never saw it coming, I still can't believe it. The most solid, dependable and courageous Marine we've ever known. Blink of an eye, gone. Now it's down to me, and me alone, to lead these men, my brothers, safely through this campaign. AA fire from Peleliu airfield is knocking our planes night out the sky. Taking this airfield is our only priority. Whatever the cost. Roebuck was my favorite as well as sallivan!
WaW is my favourite cod, I like the gritty setting and the take on the game, plus playing heart if the reich on veteran. It surprises me that this game was only a 15 somehow even with all this graphic content and that will not be another cod/AAA title that shows war this way. My guilty pleasure is actually cod 3, I like the feel of the game, it has some really fun mechanics, boat rowing, the cranking of guns and the silly hand to hand combat moments. Ps you didn't even mention that Gary Oldman voices reznov
Loved this game on the Wii. Hearing someone call in the dogs less than a minute in you'd be like "welp, somebody's gonna be dominating that scoreboard at the end".
I’ve always said Cod 3 is my favorite due to military inclusions-memorable lines/characters-and the feeling of watching a documentary on a Saturday done right. World at War-feels like adrenaline fueled hell with an un-glorification of war. It’s not a game, it’s an experience.
Please play call of duty big red one, for me the best COD ever. My nostalgia, when I was playing it as a 7 year old, heavily influences my opinion. It campaign streches from north africo to the Siegfried Line. I loved pvt. Bloomfield, it still hits everytime he dies. I can only play it on my PS2, sometimes the screen freezes but idc

Don't forget that only Nacht Der Untoten was the only map you could play in World at War without paying for the map-packs.

It needs a remaster
Most realistic game in 2008. Well not now.
Call of duty 2, hands down the best CoD game for me.
The sense of belonging to a higher scale operation is not existant anymore in the modern ones.
I agree (if that was the one with Pavlov's house)
I love this game!

Plutonium is a free and safe client for bo1/2 mw3 and waw on pc, but waw is dead. Still you can play with bots
No CoD can ever match WaW
Short answer: eh
Long answer: maybe
