  • 2022 Dodge Ram TRX crashes into and destroys semi - rotator recovery. This call came in as an Official Police Garage request, with very few details. I was just given information on a load shift in the city of Encino. Someone in the area happened to send me a blurry picture, which is why I knew to bring a rotator and Landoll to handle whatever it is.
It was a lot harder while also easier than I thought, if that makes sense. A brand new Dodge Ram TRX crashed and took out the entire side of the tractor, before flipping a couple hundred feet up ahead. Joe showed up in the Landoll with a forklift to tackle the shifted load. Once cleared, I used the rotator to split the tractor from the trailer, and set it onto the Landoll since the front and rear axles were beyond toast.

Holy Crap already!! What a freaking mess!! It NEVER ceases to amaze me that people can come out of the most INSANELY mangled cars with little or even no injuries!! The local garbage company should just send a truck for the rest of the mess. Joe did an excellent job on this one, you should buy him an extra large coffee. Haha!!

18 wheelers are tough but this one met its match!! The TRX must have been going 100 MPH to do that much damage!! His insurance is definitely going up!! He did about a quarter million 💰in damage. Don’t hit an 18 wheeler!
Amazing how Hurcules lifted that cab like it was nothing! That’s what big💰buys!!
I can’t see any tie down straps on that load!
Somebody will have to wait for their delivery!

This truck remindse of the 1954 Caddy my parents had back in 1961. A guy going down 63rd Street in Chicago doing 70 in a 30. If you looked at the back passenger side brake light, it was hanging by the wires, but the front end after being hit from behind a second time & slammed into a nice big steel street lamp post. The front was mashed bad. The engine caught on fire. The frame was bent so bad that there wasn't anything that could be done to fix it. I miss the old girl even after all that time.

    • @PepesTowingService

Sure is, even longer when towing a complete tractor trailer, or one with a set of doubles.

@@PepesTowingService, I give you heavy towing guys HUGE props my friend. Class A driver, rigger, AND a crane operator all wrapped into one person. AND, you’re not picking up nice neatly packaged loads. You have to put the puzzle together just right to safely roll that whole mess down the road. Oftentimes I’m sure that’s just barely possible to do with absolute confidence the load won’t shift around on you. That’s some SERIOUS work and I personally love to watch a well executed recovery.
I myself used to work for a digging company that transported some insanely large equipment. A number of the moves were an absolute circus, lol. When one of these crazy large items would come up, like the core body of a massive earth moving truck used in activities such as mining, they would call it “The Big Show”, lol. Triple stingers and a ground force dollie at the rear. Driving that friggin thing was like driving an actual freight train. But regardless of all that weight and all those wheels rolling, the Kenworth W9 or the long nose Peterbuilt 379 both having a big ‘ole CAT under the hood would drag that train along like a champ. BUT, I had a planned route that was well able to accommodate the whole drive with minimal traffic using an army of cops to clear the path. YOU have to navigate that monster amidst the swelling sea of morons on their cellphones the whole time, lol. God bless you my friend!! 👍🏻😎👍🏻

This is a testimate to the new Ram chassis and body. The cabin, minus the cut off roof, was still intact after tearing up that semi like it did. No longer a Ram skeptic especially after seeing a 2021 GM truck taco against an accord
