I like Aigis' name. It's the greek pronunciation of "Aegis" which is a legendary shield from greek mythology. But the reason they use the greek pronunciation is because it contains the word "A.I." Her name, despite sounding very human, describes her purpose almost like a coded name like HK-47 would. She is an A.I. created to protect.
I would hope the Skells from Xenoblade X would be somewhere on there. If not, perhaps the Faced Mechon from the first Xenoblade. (Spoilers? I apologize. XD)
Well, the thing about Megaman is that he was designed to be a helper robot. So when the Robot Masters went nuts, people needed help. And he needed combat upgrades to help them.
32:08 that's actually a well known mistranslation, he doesn't plan to kill Wiley, just capture him, and is tired of asking him to come of his own fruition. And rock's entire program is to be an assistant, and with dr light needing to stop the robot masters, the logical step is to become megaman to fight for him, which is entirely because he has one purpose, just like blues being the first semi free willed robot, and not having any other goals.
Actually the reason why Aigis has so many appearances is because she is the most popular character of Persona 3 and the protagonist is kinda dead after the end of the game. She's basically one of the franchises three mascots alongside Teddy and Morgana.

Sad to see that there wasn't a story animation, comic, or text yet for Zenyatta before doing this to get some more info, but oh well. If we're talking Star Wars video games, my pick is Proxy from Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Did you ever have a best friend that constantly tries to kill you? Proxy is a training droid for main protagonist, and Vader's apprentice, Starkiller whose primary function is to attempt to literally kill him. He even seems genuinely disappointed whenever he fails, even as he congratulates Starkiller for his success. There's a twisted sort of charm to the whole dynamic. And he's really creative in his approach. At the halfway point of the game, while escaping an Imperial starship, Proxy forces the ship on a collision course with a nearby star. This is, for the most part, to leave no witnessess to Starkiller's existence (as per Vader's orders), but if Starkiller ends up dead in the process, then bonus. What also helps is his ability to project an image of any other person over himself, useful for intel on targets, communication with Vader, and mimicking the behavior and combat skills of his "training modules." His boss fight is a fun one just for how many other bosses he copies, ending with a new form of Darth Maul. In the end, though, Proxy is still fiercely loyal to Starkiller, so much so that, when Vader betrays him towards the end of the game, he sacrifices himself for his master. Assassin, helper, friend. Proxy's just the best.

The Archie comics (not canon but still...) have Dr Light musing on where Rock's sense of justice came from, since he wasn't designed to be the kind of person who would volunteer to fight evil like he does

I did a little research on Asimov a while ago, and one thing that came up was the Zeroth Law of Robotics: a robot cannot harm humanity or, through inaction, allow humanity to come to harm. This sounds like an expansion of the First Law, but because it’s placed at zero, it actually supersedes the first. In other words, this new law allows robots to harm humans on an individual level if it means protecting humanity as a whole. On top of that, this law was created by two self-aware robots engaging in Socratic dialogue and not part of their initial programming. So while Mega Man threatening to kill Wily sounds like a violation of the First Law, it could also be seen as upholding the Zeroth Law, and it was a decision he made all on his own.
If you think metal sonic is intense, take a look at him in the idw comics relatively recently. Not only does he overthrow Eggman again and once again become metal overlord but he pretty much declares war, turns angel island into a fortress and takes the master emerald, and leaves eggman with amnesia.

This is oftopic since its from an Anime and not from a Videogame but my favourite Robot is Reg from "Made in Abyss". The thing about him is that he is so dam human that its easy to disregard that he is a Robot which makes is funny that his friend Riko, while loving and cherishing him as a valuable friend, never forgets that he is a Robot. Fore all we know he could be thousands of years old but I cant help but see him as just a kid. Observing all his human behaviour fore example shaking hands is kinda fascinating. He is soooooo dam lovable. He is the honest and pour hearted typ. which is normally not the typ I am to hyped about but he just gets to me. He is a really heart touching Character but also really funny. He made me laugh and cry. Also I basicly worship his design. Its adorable but also kinda stylish and cool. He would look great among the Phantom Thieves. The combination of his mechanical limbs (I love there clicking sound), his human like body, his skin collar, the stripes on his face and torso, his cape and the little white things on his head that remind me of Angel wings everything just fits together perfectly. His Character interactions are just the best. Especially with Nanachi. I love how observant he can be.
I think we can all agree that Megaman x and the games after are an alternate timeline. The only reason why they were even connected to begin with just so minafune would have another way to continue the series regardless of how it damages the narrative of each prior game.

Well here are my thoughts for Emerl: In his game sonic battle he does start as weak with little to know experience, but as he meets Sonic and his friends, he copys their abilitys and gains emotions and character, it is funny to see him copy Knuckles rage. I won’t spoil his ending tough. As for sonic advance 3 he is a mini boss and partners with Dr. Eggman, but lacks a bit of character.

If I recall correctly, after the events of Battle, Eggman found what remains of Emerl and created his own robot out of it, with the result of living with Cream and Vanilla at the end of everything. I consider G-mel and Emerl two different entities, like how someone who turns into a zombie is no longer the person they once were.
Um, Zenyatta isn't a pacifist. That's actually part of his disagreement with Mondatta. Zenyatta feels that people must take an active approach to solving problems, that includes fighting for righteous causes.

Talking about Metal Sonic: You think that's something, in the new IDW Sonic comic series, which takes place after Sonic Forces, Metal Sonic, now with his rebellious nature removed by Eggman, led his forces in his absence, which resulted in taking over Knuckles' home, Angel Island, absorbing the Master Emerald, returning to his Metal Overlord form from Sonic Heroes and almost defeating Sonic. Almost, but not quite. :D

There's a lot of good mad scientists in video games: Dr. Cortex, Dr. Eggman, Dr. Wily, Dr. Nefarious, Medic, Relius Clover(who BTW, like Oscar, has Ignis of his own), Dr. Steinman, Faust, King K. Rool in DKC3, Professor Monkey-For-A-Head, Andross, Cave Johnson, Professor E. Gadd, Dr. Coyle and Moira.

This is oftopic since its from an Anime and not from a Videogame but my favourite Robot is Reg from "Made in Abyss". The thing about him is that he is so dam human that its easy to disregard that he is a Robot which makes is funny that his friend Riko, while loving and cherishing him as a valuable friend, never forgets that he is a Robot.
Fore all we know he could be thousands of years old but I cant help but see him as just a kid. Observing all his human behaviour fore example shaking hands is kinda fascinating.
He is soooooo dam lovable. He is the honest and pour hearted typ. which is normally not the typ I am to hyped about but he just gets to me. He is a really heart touching Character but also really funny. He made me laugh and cry. Also I basicly worship his design. Its adorable but also kinda stylish and cool. He would look great among the Phantom Thieves.
The combination of his mechanical limbs (I love there clicking sound), his human like body, his skin collar, the stripes on his face and torso, his cape and the little white things on his head that remind me of Angel wings everything just fits together perfectly.
His Character interactions are just the best. Especially with Nanachi. I love how observant he can be.
I think we can all agree that Megaman x and the games after are an alternate timeline. The only reason why they were even connected to begin with just so minafune would have another way to continue the series regardless of how it damages the narrative of each prior game.
Hoping that Mokka from Magical Starsign is on this, he’s probably not, but I’d love to see him and for the game to get some sort of shoutout

I'm sad that Emerl got shafted since he's my favorite Sonic character...but legacy does trump power, so I understand.
Well here are my thoughts for Emerl: In his game sonic battle he does start as weak with little to know experience, but as he meets Sonic and his friends, he copys their abilitys and gains emotions and character, it is funny to see him copy Knuckles rage. I won’t spoil his ending tough.
As for sonic advance 3 he is a mini boss and partners with Dr. Eggman, but lacks a bit of character.
@@zeldasmetaknight You mean G-Mel, for that stuff in Advance 3. If I recall correctly, after the events of Battle, Eggman found what remains of Emerl and created his own robot out of it, with the result of living with Cream and Vanilla at the end of everything. I consider G-mel and Emerl two different entities, like how someone who turns into a zombie is no longer the person they once were.

Even though Tali was my favorite Romance option, Legion was my favorite character.
