The scary thing about Giygas is that the games never describe HOW he's attacking the party. It only tells us that either "The form of Giegue's attack was inexplicable!" or that "You cannot grasp the true form of Giygas' attack!" He is such a powerful psychic in the former that Ninten and co. can barely begin to process his power, and so much of a cosmic horror in the latter that Ness and crew can barely even begin to comprehend what exactly they are actually dealing with.
And yet, that's why I feel he doesn't really count as a psychic. I feel that Giygas is more cosmic than psychic. If we cannot grasp the true form of his attacks, how can we say he's a psychic? It's more Cthulhu than Mewtwo.

I even play tons of games that pretty much just have those two be pretty much the same thing but it's out of this "world" so it gets put under cosmic power. Even in lovecraft inspired games and media, the power that alot of cosmic entities uses is similar to effects of psychic abilities and this is common place. Psychic power normally affects a being's mental state, which a cosmic entity normally does anywhere with their mere appearance or attacks. So I think it's fair to put Giygas under psychics due to how similar both sides uses their powers anyway.

Good #1. He's so powerful that he can't even be contained in a physical vessal. Nearly all his power needs to be sealed away just to maintain some part of his ego. He doesn't use physhic powers, he literally is phychic power. Power without a body, ego or mind. And even sealed away and weakened his power extends and bends time and space.
Want to say for the record that the reason Neku's powers are all called psychs is because literally everything he does is fuelled by his imagination. Those cans of soda aren't just something he's pulling out and drinking, he's basically spawning them out of thin air with the power of his mind.

I love how all but like two (maybe three) of the characters on this list have some level of past trauma that motivates them. Psychics don't tend to lead happy lives, do they?
Mewtwo finding new ways to be broken. Pegging fellow psychic Mew with a ghost type shadow ball that it would have been immune to in gen 1 if it even existed yet.
You got your FEAR lore wrong, Oscar. Alma was put into an induced coma, gave birth to two children (your avatar in the first game and Paxton Fettel), and died at 26 when her life support was pulled. Still, she DEFINITELY qualifies.
That wasn’t getting it wrong, we just didn’t mention the having children part. It didn’t seem import to why she’s a good psychic so we cut it for time.
Honorable Mentions: *Shiki Misaki - The World Ends With You -As much as I love Neku and TOTALLY AGREE he should've been a contender, my first choice for TWEWY was Shiki. If only for her ability to use psychokinesis on her stuffed cat, Mr. Mew, turning him into a living weapon. Plus, her ultimates have her creating multiple Mr. Mews or even creating a giant Mr. Mew. *Haru Okumura - Persona 5 -Yes, technically Haru DOES wield an axe and grenade launcher, buuuut Haru IS the party member with psychic attacks. *Kenshi - Mortal Kombat Series -A blind swordsman who uses telepathy to see as if he is Daredevil? Sign me up. Plus, he can use psychic powers to lift his sword and even other foes. Best seen in one of his fatalities where he uses telekinesis to smash his opponent against the screen a bunch of times before slicing them with his gravitating sword. *Crypto - Destroy All Humans Series -He DOES have his saucer and weapons, but he can also use his mind to lift objects, hypnotize people, or even make their heads explode and collect their brains!
Neat list. I think an honorable mention could be the Pipotron from the Ape Escape series (Pumped & Primed most notably for Western fans). A mysterious trio of monkeys (Tron Red, Tron Blue & Tron Yellow) who were created solely to kidnap and steal a special disk Helga's father made under orders of a Mystery Man. When the disk wasn't there, they entered the Gadget Tech Tournament as as it turns out the disk was hidden in the trophy given to the winner. After they obtain the trophy (either by winning the tournament or stealing it from the winner) they smash the trophy and reveal the disk, but then are cast aside by the man once he gets the disk. After that they help the main cast fight their way through the Virus Tech Tournament (which includes facing off against a group of super clone versions of themselves) to the virus Grid Core & defeat him. After that they vanish. They have various psychic powers such as energy manipulation, psychic blasts, and various specials: Tron Gush (conjures dark flames from the ground that protrude forward & hurt any in the way), Darkness Scream (forces everyone to drop what they're doing for a few moments), Tron Cannon (launches a massive energy ball forward, hurting all it hits) and Darkness Stream (conjures a tornado around them that sucks in and hurts everyone nearby). There's also of course Specter, the main antagonist of the series who's a super intelligent monkey who also has psychic powers such as telekinesis and mind control.
The best part regarding Raz is that this came out a couple months before the long-anticipated sequel, which not only was worth the wait IMO, but also gives him a slew of new abilities as he tries to fix the kinks that the Psychonauts agency has among its chief staff.
Calling it right now: This weapons month will have a jack of all trades list. Jack of all trades are characters that use multiple different weapons and can't be categorized as using a single weapon as their main one.
An interesting topic, but in previous videos, he’s confirmed that the next lists will be Shield Users, Mech Suit Pilots, Parasol Users and Gunslingers. Maybe Jack-of-all-trades could be for next Weapons Month, if not a list on its own.
Maybe Jack-of-all-trade elementists. Player characters that can use a variety of elemental spells/capabilities whereas the other party members are stuck with one (P5 Joker, for one)
I really do like Giygas as a villain. Not to much to say about him…and that is the point. He is like the very idea of evil. Lovcraftian in the way how you can barely interpret what he is. He is all powerful and both times he is barely defeated. If mother continued, it wouldn’t be a matter of will he but a matter of when will he return?
Godly characters would definitely make for a great list (most gods had to be left of the magic users list, and the GS has proven to make most of his countdowns interesting.
Fun Fact about the Alma entry and apologies in advance for this paragraph worth of info... In the first F.E.A.R. game, we play as the Point Man, who is one of Alma's sons with the other son being the main antagonist, Paxton Fettel, however; Fettel went homicidal after Alma's awakening, allowing him to see the pain and horrors that Alma was inflicted thanks to her abusive father and the reason for this was because he linked with Alma before at a very young age, 10 years old to be precise! The hallucinations of Alma that we see when playing as the Point Man are Alma's way of trying to reach out to him because she knows Point Man is her son. The only reason why she attacks Point Man is because he doesn't recognize her as his mother, he only sees her as an eldritch monster that he thinks he needs to kill in order to end the nightmares.
Silver geeking out over plants does actually make sense for him. Guy literally grew up in an infernal apocalypse, the mere idea of plants wood naturally have him green with envy towards people that live in what he'd consider the past.
Matilda taught me that psychic abilities can be strengthened by reading a lot of books. By that logic Silver's boost in power is due to him being imprisoned in a library since 2006.
2:58 I also wouldn't call it Pyro kinesis because with the exception of his flaming facial hair, he doesn't 'control fire, more shoot it from his hands and feet to burn things. At least fire benders in Avatar can manipulate fire as well as generate it.

I think it comes down to personal preference. By the way, with the Legendary Edition of Mass Effect coming out this month, it's definitely worth a go if you're interested. Mass Effect 2 is my favourite video game of all time. At least for now.

Neat list. I think an honorable mention could be the Pipotron from the Ape Escape series (Pumped & Primed most notably for Western fans).
A mysterious trio of monkeys (Tron Red, Tron Blue & Tron Yellow) who were created solely to kidnap and steal a special disk Helga's father made under orders of a Mystery Man. When the disk wasn't there, they entered the Gadget Tech Tournament as as it turns out the disk was hidden in the trophy given to the winner. After they obtain the trophy (either by winning the tournament or stealing it from the winner) they smash the trophy and reveal the disk, but then are cast aside by the man once he gets the disk. After that they help the main cast fight their way through the Virus Tech Tournament (which includes facing off against a group of super clone versions of themselves) to the virus Grid Core & defeat him. After that they vanish. They have various psychic powers such as energy manipulation, psychic blasts, and various specials: Tron Gush (conjures dark flames from the ground that protrude forward & hurt any in the way), Darkness Scream (forces everyone to drop what they're doing for a few moments), Tron Cannon (launches a massive energy ball forward, hurting all it hits) and Darkness Stream (conjures a tornado around them that sucks in and hurts everyone nearby).
There's also of course Specter, the main antagonist of the series who's a super intelligent monkey who also has psychic powers such as telekinesis and mind control.

The best part regarding Raz is that this came out a couple months before the long-anticipated sequel, which not only was worth the wait IMO, but also gives him a slew of new abilities as he tries to fix the kinks that the Psychonauts agency has among its chief staff.
Calling it right now: This weapons month will have a jack of all trades list.
Jack of all trades are characters that use multiple different weapons and can't be categorized as using a single weapon as their main one.
An interesting topic, but in previous videos, he’s confirmed that the next lists will be Shield Users, Mech Suit Pilots, Parasol Users and Gunslingers. Maybe Jack-of-all-trades could be for next Weapons Month, if not a list on its own.

I really do like Giygas as a villain. Not to much to say about him…and that is the point. He is like the very idea of evil. Lovcraftian in the way how you can barely interpret what he is. He is all powerful and both times he is barely defeated. If mother continued, it wouldn’t be a matter of will he but a matter of when will he return?

Fun Fact about the Alma entry and apologies in advance for this paragraph worth of info...
In the first F.E.A.R. game, we play as the Point Man, who is one of Alma's sons with the other son being the main antagonist, Paxton Fettel, however; Fettel went homicidal after Alma's awakening, allowing him to see the pain and horrors that Alma was inflicted thanks to her abusive father and the reason for this was because he linked with Alma before at a very young age, 10 years old to be precise! The hallucinations of Alma that we see when playing as the Point Man are Alma's way of trying to reach out to him because she knows Point Man is her son. The only reason why she attacks Point Man is because he doesn't recognize her as his mother, he only sees her as an eldritch monster that he thinks he needs to kill in order to end the nightmares.
It was nice to see Sabrina and Lucian get a mention, though I'm more partial to Caitlin when it comes to the trainers.
Now Raz has a sequel.

@@RomanVulcan83 Samara is awesome and, as an Asari, doesn't need technology to access her biotic abilities, but I think Jack is the more interesting character and, at least potentially, way more powerful. I think it comes down to personal preference.
By the way, with the Legendary Edition of Mass Effect coming out this month, it's definitely worth a go if you're interested. Mass Effect 2 is my favourite video game of all time. At least for now.
